On the topic of these lists, I’m going to start working on full Top 600 of All Time updates each week. While rockgolf posts updates to the top 10,000 each week of all time for songs that are currently charting I will be posting full lists. From time to time I might do alternative scenarios for multipliers.

Old town road and sunflower honestly deserve their positions
I’m surprised god’s plan is projected to make the list and i’m more shocked (in a bad way) that girls like you is projected to be in the top 20 of *all time*

Looking forward to it, Lukas!
In the meantime, here's where songs on this week's Hot 100 would be on the all-time top 600 list if expanded to 10,000 songs (in this case, exactly!) for the date of January 18, 2020:

Does anyone here plan to calculate the songs under #100 on the Billboard 2010s Decade-End? I'm intrigued to see where the likes of "Believer", "Sail", "New Rules", and "High Hopes" ended up, and how close they were to cracking the list proper.

I have the entire top 40 of all time, so I'll start applying max/min scenarios for the all-time list (max is x0.85 from since 8/11/18 and min is x0.80 straight).

Alllllright! (sorry, binging Jane the Virgin) When last we left the chart of where songs on this week's Hot 100 (January 25, 2020) would appear on an all-time list, "Old Town Road" was the top entry. But Lil Nax X cain't riiiide no more so there's a new song at the peak of this list:

Four of the top five are likely to fall off the chart in the next week or two, so Lewis & Post could be the biggest tracks on here soon.
Speaking of which, whoever was asking if Circles could make the all-time top 100, that's still a long way off, but this week it entered the top 1000 hits of all time!

Listen!
You can hear a pin drop on this topic.
Once more, where songs would be on the all-time top 10,000 using Billboard's methodology for such things (or something close to it). This list inclusive of the Feb 1, 2020 list.

Probably the last couple of weeks for Bad Guy. It should get a decent post-Grammy bounce, but I suspect it will fall short of making the all-time top 100.

The difference between 1 and 2 is bigger than 2 and 23. Didn't realize the gap was that massive.

Using the inverse formula that gives 3000 points for a week at number one, "Smooth" would need 107 more weeks at #1 to equal the performance of "The Twist." What made that song so massive?

For my formula, I use 60,000 points at #1. This is to avoid having to round any numbers (so everything is scaled up by x20) and to make the numbers closer to what we previously used. So Smooth would need 6 more weeks at #1 to reach "The Twist." The difference is still significant, lol.

Guess I will be doing weekly updates to the all-time list now ..... I'll get to the full 600 eventually. For now, here is the top 120. I came up with a key that I'm going to use from here on out: Bolded songs are those that are additions or changes since the July 2018 GOAT update. Blue songs are those that are currently charting. Red songs are those that dropped out of the chart this week. Rank | Artist (s) - Song | Total Points |
---|

Sicko Mode being so close is infuriating

It sucks that classics like "Best Of My Love" and "Killling Me Softly With His Song" are being pushed further and further down over time. I do fear for the older hits, especially those in the 90s. We already lost the great "Family Affair", and I wouldn't bear losing "You're So Vain" and especially "Gangsta's Paradise".

By the next time the Greatest of All-Time Hot 100 chart gets updated, it should include 650 songs. So, probably the songs at most risk of getting displaced by the recent songs are those that were below the top 550 in the last update.

The Twist had a legendary couple of runs, but it does look like the new songs will gradually make their presence felt.

Are you sure you updated for the changed weighting on the decade end? SICKO MODE went a lot up on Rockgolf’s, from about where you had it, IIRC.

I will likely only track songs that peak in the top 5 and actually have longevity, as the decade continues on I can add more and more songs. The weighing is gonna be weird for sure, I'm currently using 0.8x multiplier, and as I continue to build on the Greatest of All Time list separately, I will update that as well, and use the 0.8x multiplier from Oct. 7, 2019 - present. I don't expect a GOAT update until 2023 so....yeah. I may change the multiplier at the end of the year based on what everyone thinks. Decade end tracking is from December 7, 2019 to November 24, 2029. edit: i will begin making the OP a bit better soon as well {Point System}1 65,000 2 43,333 3 41,167 4 39,000 5 36,833 6 35,100 7 33,367 8 31,633 9 29,900 10 28,167 11 12,567 12 12,133 13 11,700 14 11,267 15 10,833 16 10,400 17 9,967 18 9,533 19 9,100 20 8,667 21 8,342 22 8,017 23 7,692 24 7,367 25 7,042 26 6,717 27 6,392 28 6,067 29 5,742 30 5,417 31 5,308 32 5,200 33 5,092 34 4,983 35 4,875 36 4,767 37 4,658 38 4,550 39 4,442 40 4,333 41 4,225 42 4,117 43 4,008 44 3,900 45 3,792 46 3,683 47 3,575 48 3,467 49 3,358 50 3,250 51 3,142 52 3,033 53 2,925 54 2,817 55 2,708 56 2,600 57 2,492 58 2,383 59 2,275 60 2,167 61 2,102 62 2,037 63 1,972 64 1,907 65 1,842 66 1,777 67 1,712 68 1,647 69 1,582 70 1,517 71 1,473 72 1,430 73 1,387 74 1,343 75 1,300 76 1,257 77 1,213 78 1,170 79 1,127 80 1,083 81 1,062 82 1,040 83 1,018 84 997 85 975 86 953 87 932 88 910 89 888 90 867 91 845 92 823 93 802 94 780 95 758 96 737 97 715 98 693 99 672 100 650

I hope Circles and SYL make this decade end, since they would’ve made the 2010s one of their full run was included. Shame for other songs that missed it that won’t make this one.

EDIT: removed The Bangles. I excused Walk Like An Egyptian debuting in 1986 since it was during the 1987 tracking year but I misread Manic Monday.
This also makes the 80s have exactly 0 new artists at #1.

Are you not including anything before 1979? Because you could also talk about Debbie Boone for "You Light Up My Life."
