So basically, if Blinding Lights can get 2 more months in the top 10, itβll be the new GOAT. Letβs say it falls out earlier than then but lingers in the top 20. How many weeks would it need in the top 25 overall?

How many weeks would it need in the top 25 overall? The Billboard algorithm for their all-time list places heavy emphasis on the top ten. A #10 song gets more than twice the points of a #11 song. The likeliest scenario for Blinding Lights to get to #1 is 4 more weeks in the top ten and another 6 in the top 25. At this stage, that looks achievable.

Dang. The top 100 of all time is one nut Beyonce's (barely) failed to crack.

As I posted on Twitter yesterday:
Blinding Lights will reach all-time #1 on the Hot 100 G.O.A.T. list if it spends another:
- 6+ week in the top 10, OR
- 5+ weeks in the top 8, OR
- 4+ weeks in the top 4
And it's looking like it will pop back to #3 next week! Unless a couple of massive albums push BL out of the top 25, I think it's very possible it will dethrone The Twist in April.

Itβs insane how a song has to do the absolute most to dethrone the twist. But good for The Weeknd!

You know the Billboardβs formula is wack when Go Crazy, a song thatβs been charting for almost a year, is lower than Positions

Positions has had 5 more weeks in the top 10. That'll certainly do it.
BTW, are you guys using some special Excel template to compute these charts? I'd like help for something along those lines.

Does anyone know the all-time list is the current list during Elizabeth II's reign? (Elizabeth II was queen during the entire 62+-year history of the Hot 100.)

Is it too early to say Blinding Lights will definitely be #1 by the end of the decade? I don't see another song pushing it out of the 2020's #1 spot.

AIWFCIY has 395205 so if it copies its performance from the first two years for the whole decade it will wind up with 1976025 unless billboard decreases the multiplier again.

I think they should disqualify recurrent holiday songs from being in All Time and Decade End rankings. It'd be tacky to have the biggest hit of the 2020s be a Christmas song that came out in the 1990s, rather than an actual hit that isn't tied to a specific annual event.

I'm Just livid some classics are falling out the all time top 100 list while All About That Bass, a song I loath laughs at me.

I found it odd how All About That Bass outscored Shake it off despite very similar durations. I guess the latter's semi-erratic top 10 performance didn't do it many favors.

Just FYI acts in red are Canadian.
For those wondering how close Blinding Lights is getting to the all-time number one song, here's this week's progress report:
To reach #1 on the Hot 100 G.O.A.T., Blinding Lights need only achieve one of the following feats: - 3 weeks at #4 or higher *OR*
- 4 weeks at #9 or higher *OR*
- 5 weeks in the top 10
(This is contingent on Billboard having maintained last year's 0.85 multiplier to weeks in 2021 as well. No clear word on that yet.)
And congratulations in the meantime, to "Mood" which has now reached the all-time top 100.
