Hoping Stay isn't a threat to BL on the goat chart I doubt it, but I think Stay is almost certain to be all-time top 10 with the way it's refusing to budge. (Mind you, having Canadian acts at both #1 & #2 on the all-time chart would be... something.) It climbed back to #2 this week, not due to any point gain, but because the competition is falling faster. Can we PLEASE have some new hits??? In the meantime here is the list of updates to the all-time top 10,000 with the March 26, 2022 dated chart points added in. | | Chg | Title | Artist | | 18 | 16 | 2 | Levitating | Dua Lipa | 1,255,730 | 27 | 24 | 3 | Stay | The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber | 1,188,160 | 130 | 124 | 6 | Save Your Tears | The Weeknd & Ariana Grande | 947,040 | 303 | 255 | 48 | Easy On Me | Adele | 832,896 | 269 | 263 | 6 | Good 4 U | Olivia Rodrigo | 827,360 | 388 | 346 | 42 | Bad Habits | Ed Sheeran | 788,080 | 581 | 429 | 152 | Heat Waves | Glass Animals | 748,576 | 607 | 582 | 25 | Industry Baby | Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow | 700,720 | 1504 | 1444 | 60 | Shivers | Ed Sheeran | 530,480 | 2100 | 2078 | 22 | Fancy Like | Walker Hayes | 444,800 | 2509 | 2261 | 248 | We Don't Talk About Bruno | Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz & Encanto Cast | 421,600 | 2561 | 2481 | 80 | Need To Know | Doja Cat | 397,856 | 3457 | 3175 | 282 | Super Gremlin | Kodak Black | 326,432 | 3594 | 3321 | 273 | abcdefu | GAYLE | 311,360 | 3807 | 3720 | 87 | Cold Heart (PNAU Remix) | Elton John & Dua Lipa | 269,488 | 4465 | 4142 | 323 | Ghost | Justin Bieber | 229,744 | 4299 | 4260 | 39 | Knife Talk | Drake ft. 21 Savage & Project Pat | 218,800 | 4375 | 4323 | 52 | You Right | Doja Cat & The Weeknd | 214,640 | 4852 | 4533 | 319 | Thats What I Want | Lil Nas X | 198,720 | 5427 | 5287 | 140 | Pushin P | Gunna & Future ft. Luke Bryan | 96,800 | 7904 | 7745 | 159 | Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah) | CKay | 89,760 | 8237 | 7931 | 306 | I Hate U | SZA | 85,840 | 8736 | 8527 | 209 | Sand In My Boots | Morgan Wallen | 76,528 | 10825 | 8635 | 2190 | Enemy | Imagine Dragons X JID | 74,864 | 9550 | 8825 | 414 | Woman | Doja Cat | 72,480 | 9691 | 9277 | 414 | Hrs And Hrs | Muni Long | 66,672 | 10192 | 9395 | 797 | Big Energy | Latto | 65,216 |
This week, Levitating passed the points total of both User's Yeah and Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart. Mariah Carey's We Belong Together is still within range.

Whoa. Not to mention "Save Your Tears" is within range of the top 100 all of a sudden. Still there could be a "Bad Guy" kind of situation where it barely falls short.
Funnily enough, "Heat Waves" would still be on the Alternative Airplay list at this point had it not fallen out of the top 15 long ago. At one point it gained enough of a resurgence to the point where it would be back in the top 10, if not the top 5.

Because of STAY the multiplier for this year will be low as hell

Not just Stay. The average age of the top ten is approaching human gestation levels.

When it’s all said and done, I think the 0.8x multiplier will run through the end of the UGC era (end of 2016 to 1/11/2020). The placement of Old Town Road and Sunflower are too low on the all-time list. I can see the rest of 2020 and part of 2021 being 0.75x, and the rest of 2021 to present 0.7x (or lower).

I’m still surprised it hasn’t made the top 100 yet as all the past few YE top 2’s did since 2017. Probably goes to show how low the multiplier is right now.

SYT doesn’t seem like an outlier to me, especially when compared to a song like Sunflower. Without the post-Christmas run, SYT would have been another 52-week charting song. Sunflower is the longest running song ever on the streaming songs chart. It would be wrong, at least in my eyes, if SYT surpassed Sunflower on the all-time list.

Let it go Sunflower owns one of the major streaming records in the streaming era. It is an outlier and that is not up for debate. The only travesty is that radio didn’t get on board with this and cost Sunflower a Top 10, maybe even Top 5, spot on the all-time list. If SYT passes Sunflower on the all-time list, it is because of the stupid recurrent rules and Billboard allowing SYT to have this post-Christmas run that Sunflower wasn’t (not to mention SYT’s competition was much weaker than Sunflower’s).

Suppose you have a leaderboard for most weeks in the top ten among songs that peaked during one year that looks like this: 1. 32 weeks 2. 30 weeks 3. 28 weeks 4. 26 weeks 5. 24 weeks 6. 24 weeks 7. 24 weeks 8. 24 weeks 9. 24 weeks 10. 24 weeks 11. 24 weeks 12. 22 weeks 13. 22 weeks 14. 20 weeks 15. 20 weeks 16. 20 weeks 17. 20 weeks 18. 20 weeks 19. 20 weeks 20. 18 weeks
What do you think the multiplier would be?

For the chart week ending April 3, 2022, here's where I think the all-time top 10,000 on the Hot 100 has changed for songs on this week's Hot 100: | | Chg | Title | Artist | | 16 | 15 | 1 | Levitating | Dua Lipa | 1,263,410 | 24 | 21 | 3 | Stay | The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber | 1,220,160 | 124 | 117 | 7 | Save Your Tears | The Weeknd & Ariana Grande | 954,400 | 255 | 227 | 28 | Easy On Me | Adele | 853,696 | 263 | 256 | 7 | Good 4 U | Olivia Rodrigo | 832,080 | 346 | 327 | 19 | Bad Habits | Ed Sheeran | 797,040 | 429 | 329 | 100 | Heat Waves | Glass Animals | 796,576 | 582 | 562 | 20 | Industry Baby | Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow | 706,880 | 1444 | 1389 | 55 | Shivers | Ed Sheeran | 539,120 | 2078 | 2050 | 28 | Fancy Like | Walker Hayes | 448,320 | 2261 | 2058 | 203 | We Don't Talk About Bruno | Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz & Encanto Cast | 447,520 | 2481 | 2394 | 87 | Need To Know | Doja Cat | 405,856 | 3175 | 2884 | 291 | Super Gremlin | Kodak Black | 356,832 | 3321 | 3032 | 289 | abcdefu | GAYLE | 340,160 | 3720 | 3644 | 76 | Cold Heart (PNAU Remix) | Elton John & Dua Lipa | 277,808 | 4142 | 3855 | 287 | Ghost | Justin Bieber | 256,944 | 4533 | 4220 | 313 | Thats What I Want | Lil Nas X | 222,080 | 4260 | 4226 | 34 | Knife Talk | Drake ft. 21 Savage & Project Pat | 221,520 | 4323 | 4266 | 57 | You Right | Doja Cat & The Weeknd | 218,560 | 5287 | 5145 | 142 | Pushin P | Gunna & Future ft. Young Thug | 162,880 | 5296 | 5281 | 15 | Smokin Out The Window | Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak) | 156,672 | 5649 | 5539 | 110 | Surface Pressure | Jessica Darrow | 144,960 | 6412 | 6167 | 245 | One Right Now | Post Malone & The Weeknd | 124,560 | 7350 | 7163 | 187 | Buy Dirt | Jordan Davis ft. Luke Bryan | 100,560 | 8635 | 7213 | 1422 | Enemy | Imagine Dragons X JID | 99,504 | 8825 | 7479 | 1346 | Woman | Doja Cat | 94,560 | 7745 | 7567 | 178 | Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah) | CKay | 93,040 | 7931 | 7661 | 270 | I Hate U | SZA | 91,520 | 9550 | 8285 | 1265 | Sand In My Boots | Morgan Wallen | 79,888 | 9395 | 8667 | 728 | Big Energy | Latto | 74,496 | 9277 | 8858 | 419 | Hrs And Hrs | Muni Long | 72,112 |
Stay & Levitating continue to rise in the top 20 of all time, while Save Your Tears is approaching and could reach top 100 status. Levitating has now surpassed We Belong Together and is within striking distance of both Chainsmokers' Closer and Beatles Hey Jude.
Easy On Me is apt to fall out of the top ten next week which will significantly slow down its progress on the all-time list.

Is my question seriously yet to be answered? I think it would be a 0.8 year, as this would look somewhat similar to the 2016-2020 period. You are technically correct. These are actually the real life values from 1982, 40 years ago, but doubled. 1982's multiplier was x1.6. The SoundScan counterpart is x0.8.

For the chart week of Apr 9, 2022, here's where I think the songs on the Hot 100 would place on an all-time top 10,000. | | Chg | Title | Artist | | 15 | 15 | 0 | Levitating | Dua Lipa | 1,271,410 | 21 | 17 | 4 | Stay | The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber | 1,252,160 | 117 | 111 | 6 | Save Your Tears | The Weeknd & Ariana Grande | 961,760 | 227 | 218 | 9 | Easy On Me | Adele | 862,656 | 329 | 239 | 90 | Heat Waves | Glass Animals | 844,576 | 256 | 249 | 7 | Good 4 U | Olivia Rodrigo | 836,800 | 327 | 307 | 20 | Bad Habits | Ed Sheeran | 806,320 | 562 | 542 | 20 | Industry Baby | Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow | 713,040 | 1389 | 1344 | 45 | Shivers | Ed Sheeran | 547,760 | 2058 | 1886 | 172 | We Don't Talk About Bruno | Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz & Encanto Cast | 470,880 | 2050 | 2023 | 27 | Fancy Like | Walker Hayes | 451,760 | 2394 | 2319 | 75 | Need To Know | Doja Cat | 413,536 | 2884 | 2601 | 283 | Super Gremlin | Kodak Black | 385,632 | 3032 | 2802 | 230 | abcdefu | GAYLE | 364,800 | 3644 | 3561 | 83 | Cold Heart (PNAU Remix) | Elton John & Dua Lipa | 286,128 | 3855 | 3594 | 261 | Ghost | Justin Bieber | 282,864 | 4220 | 3998 | 222 | Thats What I Want | Lil Nas X | 244,160 | 4266 | 4221 | 45 | You Right | Doja Cat & The Weeknd | 222,320 | 5145 | 5002 | 143 | Pushin P | Gunna & Future ft. Young Thug | 168,800 | 5539 | 5461 | 78 | Surface Pressure | Jessica Darrow | 148,240 | 6167 | 5937 | 230 | One Right Now | Post Malone & The Weeknd | 131,280 | 7213 | 6109 | 1104 | Enemy | Imagine Dragons X JID | 126,704 | 7479 | 6527 | 952 | Woman | Doja Cat | 115,360 | 8667 | 6969 | 1698 | Big Energy | Latto | 104,896 | 7163 | 6999 | 164 | Buy Dirt | Jordan Davis ft. Luke Bryan | 104,160 | 7661 | 7333 | 328 | I Hate U | SZA | 97,200 | 7567 | 7402 | 165 | Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah) | CKay | 95,840 | 8285 | 8095 | 190 | Sand In My Boots | Morgan Wallen | 83,088 | 9550 | 8463 | 1087 | Hrs And Hrs | Muni Long | 77,552 | 10456 | 9717 | 739 | 'Til You Can't | Cody Johnson | 61,744 |
This is the week where it now seems inevitable that Stay will eventually pass Levitating in the all-time list, and I expect Stay will easily make the all-time top ten. Simialrly with Easy On Me now out of the top ten and Heat Waves still at #1 on the weekly chart, the latter looks likely to surpass the former on the all-time chart in the very near future.
Biggest energy of the week goes to the 1698 position climb of Big Energy, thanks to sales of the remix adding in some of Mariah Carey's Fantasy (currently #284 of all time). Tom Tom Club's Genius of Love, which both songs copy the melody on (can you really call it a sample when it's the entire melody?) sits at #8763 of all time, having peaked at #31 on the weekly charts in 1982.

We're about to hit 30,000 unique songs having charted in the next few weeks depending on how you count all the re-entries over the years. My count is up to 29,976 currently.

So, how many songs in the all time top 20 are now from the past, say, 5 years? I know Blinding Lights, Shape of You, Levitating, and Stay at least. Is Circles still top 20? That's potentially 20% of the top 20 being songs from a time period representing like 8% of the Hot 100.

I’ll count the 5-year period as starting from the release of Closer (August 2016) through Stay (released July 2021). Here are the songs from that time period: Closer (14) Shape of You (10) Circles (21)* - was officially ranked 19th on 2021 GOAT list Blinding Lights (1) Levitating (15)* - was officially ranked 32nd on 2021 GOAT list Stay (17)* - not ranked on the 2021 GOAT list Both Levitating and Stay could surpass Closer on the 4/16 chart. Stay replaced Circles on the Top 20 last week, but we have 6 out of the Top 21 GOAT released during those 5 years. (Note: If we extended it to 7 years, we get Uptown Funk, which would make it one-third of the Top 21 in that time period.)

We know the streaming era has resulted in much longer chart runs, but I think all of this shows the multiplier (or whatever) isn't quite accurate. I just don't think a full 33% of the all-time top 21 should come from 11% of the eligible chart years. JMO.

By my check it seems to follow along with our current understanding of the multipliers, so it seems like they haven't been changed. rockgolf, have you found anything yet?

Yes, as of the chart dated 12/4/2021, the ranking of Can You Feel The Love Tonight (From "The Lion King") was 1885: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/189425/billboard-2020s-decade-list-lists?page=35&scrollTo=8056338Since then, quite a few songs have passed it. WDTAB being ranked at 1886 suggests (1) that it passed Can You Feel the Love Tonight this week and (2) the multipliers did not change.

Wow. They're sticking with the current multiplier, it appears. I checked all the Disney songs on the list and any I could think of (and I think they missed a very well-known track in their top 30). 1886 | Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, Stephanie Beatriz & Encanto Cast | We Don't Talk About Bruno | 470,880 | 1 | 1890 | Elton John | Can You Feel The Love Tonight (From "The Lion King") | 470,180 | 4 | 1917 | Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle | A Whole New World (Aladdin's Theme) | 465,800 | 1 | 2738 | Idina Menzel | Let It Go | 371,158 | 5 | 3242 | Vanessa Williams | Colors Of The Wind (From "Pocahontas") | 319,700 | 4 | 5142 | Celine Dion And Peabo Bryson | Beauty And The Beast | 162,960 | 9 | 5461 | Jessica Darrow | Surface Pressure | 148,240 | 8 | 7613 | Elton John | Circle Of Life (From "The Lion King") | 92,300 | 18 | 8573 | Michael Bolton | Go The Distance (From "Hercules") | 75,960 | 24 | 9133 | Phil Collins | You'll Be In My Heart | 68,340 | 21 | 11156 | All-4-One | Someday (From "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame") | 48,780 | 30 | 11208 | Stephanie Beatriz, Olga Merediz & Encanto Cast | The Family Madrigal | 48,336 | 20 | 12336 | Demi Lovato | Let It Go | 40,360 | 38 | 13607 | Diane Guerrero & Stephanie Beatriz | What Else Can I Do? | 33,216 | 27 | 13773 | Auli'i Cravalho | How Far I'll Go | 32,416 | 41 | 14717 | Kristen Bell, Agatha Lee Monn & Katie Lopez | Do You Want To Build A Snowman? | 27,897 | 51 | 14854 | Sebastian Yatra | Dos Oruguitas | 27,328 | 36 | 15966 | Rob Thomas | Little Wonders | 22,480 | 58 | 16077 | Kristen Bell & Idina Menzel | For The First Time In Forever | 22,032 | 57 | 17445 | Alessia Cara | How Far I'll Go | 17,232 | 56 | 17772 | Stephanie Beatriz | Waiting On A Miracle | 16,224 | 48 | 18241 | Idina Menzel & AURORA | Into The Unknown | 14,970 | 46 | 19972 | Julie Andrews-Dick Van Dyke | Super-cali-fragil-istic-expi-ali-docious | 10,914 | 66 | 20529 | Shakira | Try Everything | 9,775 | 63 | 20936 | Dwayne Johnson | You're Welcome | 9,056 | 65 | 22690 | Fall Out Boy | Immortals | 6,290 | 72 | 22950 | Stephanie Beatriz, Olga Merediz, John Leguizamo, Adassa, Maluma & Encanto Cast | All Of You | 5,968 | 71 | 23820 | 4*TOWN (From Disney And Pixar's Turning Red) | Nobody Like U | 4,880 | 49 | 23944 | Kristen Bell & Santino Fontana | Love Is An Open Door | 4,743 | 49 | 26986 | Idina Menzel & Evan Rachel Wood | Show Yourself | 2,070 | 70 | 28325 | Opetaia Foa'i & Lin-Manuel Miranda | We Know The Way | 1,104 | 93 | 28757 | Panic! He replied that Mary Poppins is not considered a Disney animated film. Technically true, but they also said theatrically released so that would disqualify Turning Red, wouldn't it?
Can anyone think of any other live-action Disney film songs that might qualify? I thought there was a Helen Reddy track from Pete's Dragon but it didn't make the Hot 100.

The post UGC multiplier being at 0.8, while Sunflower’s entire run is based on a 0.75 multiplier is just stupid. If you even make Sunflower’s multiplier 0.8 (the same as the post-UGC era), Sunflower moves up just above Mood on the all-time list. The fact that Mood is even ahead of Sunflower on the all-time list shows how broken this whole system is.

Thanks, rockg. If they're including the Turning Red track, then "theatrically released" would not be accurate.

With a week at #4, Stay moves to #13 on the all-time list with 1,282,760 points. It moves ahead of Hey Jude and Closer, as well as makes the pass on Levitating this week.
Stay can enter the Top 10 of the all-time list next week if charts at #7 or higher.

Where is La La Land by Demi Lovato?
