Already really like every song I’ve heard which is about half of them so far!

I listened the album once last night (13 hours ago in my time zone) and Dear Today is the clear standout with its work tape session. Others are not too different from first album's material.

I really can’t fathom why they chose that as the album artwork.

Dear Today, the title track, current single, Angels Working Overtime, Reasons, Better Together are my favorites.
There’s a lot of vanilla on here. Some very similar sounding songs that just don’t stand out. Good album, but should’ve been shortened to 11 tracks. Feel like I heard Refrigerator Door several times through the album

I really can’t fathom why they chose that as the album artwork. Based on the two album artworks so far I think the label seriously has an issue with Luke’s appearance.

He certainly can write a bop, but it's all so samey at this point. I can't imagine caring about album 3 (although I'm not his target audience anyway). Then again maybe this is his Oops!...I Did It Again and we're going to get his I'm A Slave 4 U next year.

I literally thought "Angels Working Overtime" was a Deana Carter remake before I listened. What a unique title to recycle.

Regarding his appearance--whether the album covers are bad is a matter of opinion, and I personally love that he's not the stereotypical buff guy heartthrob. (He's a Luke, but no Luke Bryan.) However, he's still a heartthrob to me because looks are not that important (and are almost always deceiving) and anyways I'm on a tangent.
As for the album itself--Lord almighty, what an incredible album. Yes, there are many similarities (Track 10 is the When It Rains It Pours of this album) but God bless this man for making what is country music. This is how it should sound in 2019. None of this rap versing, snaps and all that. Just true-blue, stone-cold honky tonk sounds while still sounding bombastic clearly works, as evidenced by his behemoth rise to superstar status.
I found myself in tears a few times unexpectedly and I've come to be burnt out on the lead single. I also wish Brooks & Dunn and Eric Church had had a little more time in their respective tracks.
Personal Standouts: Moon Over Mexico, Even Though I'm Leaving, Better Together, Every Little Bit Helps, New Every Day.

This album reached #1 on US Apple Music. Never saw a country album did that before. All previously unreleased tracks are inside US iTunes top 100 all genre.

Album of the year for 2020 I’ll agree with hands down! I’ve only listened to the album one time through and it left me wanting to listen to it again. This is one of those albums that I’ll be listening to still 10 years from now. Excellent stuff!

At 17 tracks in length, some of the tracks start to feel a little samey, but his formula is a winner imo so they're all good songs regardless. He's a very consistently strong artists and I'm enjoying this record a lot. He easily has one of the best male voices on country radio and I love the sonic and melodic nature of his work so much more than just about every other new guy out there in the mainstream as well. Stoked that radio has latched onto him and made him such an overnight superstar because he really deserves it.

Those projections beat my expectations by a bit. I’m pretty sure they’re bundling the album, but streaming numbers are massive for a country album and they’ll stay massive for a long, long time if his 50 week reign on the country album is any indication (but hopefully not massive enough to block Lady A next week from #1 on the country chart, lol).

No idea why they start Dear Today acoustically. Can barely hear the words. A full studio track would be such a big hit on radio

Singles wise, (not that it matters cause every song would probably be a hit) I would go with
3. Reasons 4. What You See Is What You Get 5. Every Little Bit Helps 6. Moon over Mexico 7. Better Together

I want "Refrigerator Door" and "1, 2 Many" as singles the most. Would also love for "New Every Day" and "Every Little Bit Helps" to be released as well. Those are 4 of my standout favorites right now. He could release anything from the album and it would smash though, except maybe "Dear Today" because of how the first half is done in the studio (which is fine by me because that's probably my least fave on the record anyway).
