AABTB may have its flaws but it still sounds better than OMG. Not sure how that's still in.

Rude is by far, without a doubt, the absolute worst song I have ever heard in my entire life

The bottom two songs were totally expected, let's be honest. From a production standpoint, they are by far the most grating and annoying. However, "Watch Me" was my #98 because it's relatively harmless, while my #99 and #100 have truly awful and downright offensive lyrics. As for "Sexy and I Know It", it's a least a nice guilty pleasure song, and the lyrics are quite hilarious, hence my ranking at #94. It really didn't deserve to be in the bottom two, even bottom five.
Now here's where it gets interesting...
98 - Girls Like You (my #97, just one away from a perfect ranking): what else is there to say? A bland, pandering, and deliberately inoffensive radio background music that somehow ended up being the FIFTH biggest hit of an otherwise creative and fun decade. Its massive success still baffles me to this day, and it's so disappointing that Maroon 5 has become so devoid of passion and personality over the years.
97 - Meant To Be (my #96, once again one away from a perfect ranking): it's generic and its lyrics fail at basic cohesiveness (Bebe tells how her heart has been broken before and the FGL guys are just like 'don't you know you're beautiful, girl?'). I actually really enjoy the chorus and the message it conveys, but the verses bring it down, not to mention it single-handedly represents what has been wrong in country music for the latter half of this decade. Fortunately, we have a real country gem on this list as well as two incredible country-inspired crossover lists, so the genre isn't that poorly represented, after all. 😉
96 - Rude (my #87): It's overhated, in my opinion. I rather enjoy the reggae-inspired production, even if it's very bland, and despite being poorly executed, I like the premise of the song (or I'm just a sucker for anything involving forbidden love). Nevertheless, the song truly aged like milk, and I think it's for the best that it has been forgotten. Didn't deserve bottom 5, though.
95 - Hey Soul Sister (my #77, my highest loss thus far): Oh, c'mon now! It's a very corny song and some lyrics are cringe-worthy (notably the 'so gangster, I'm so thug' line), but the sentiment is sweet and the production is fine... albeit basic. It's a fun song to sing along to as well, which is always a plus. How this song landed in the bottom 10 and my #100 is nowhere to be seen yet is rather disappointing. But we still have three more to go, so hopefully it should be out by then.
94 - All About That Bass (my #92): Now THIS should have been lower than the previous two songs. The production is decent, even catchy, and while I can appreciate Meghan's attempt at a body positivity anthem, it is really sloppily executed. Now, I don't have issues with that one line, since she explicitly says she's joking. However, the premise of the song is its most harmful aspect, where Meghan says bigger girls shouldn't worry about their size because they can please men better, and the chorus proceeds by equating their worth to the size of their butt. It could be one empowering aspect, sure, but that's all there is - this one key idea. So, according to Meghan, big girls shouldn't feel good for themselves, but for the attention they receive for their 'goods'. Fortunately, we have a much superior body positivity anthem with Lizzo's incredible "Juice", so we might as well leave this song behind in the 2020s.

GLY is just kinda bland. Not really worth hating imo I see what you mean, but I think the hate comes mostly from the fact that it was this big. Other similarly bland songs usually come and go without making much of an impact (see "Rude", for instance), but GLY had enough power and longevity to be the fifth biggest song of the entire decade, one that will be recorded in history and represent 2010s music for music historians. The artist involved also plays a big role, I imagine. This is not just any generic one hit wonder or something, but a band that used to be genuinely amazing when it first started and started to become gradually more soulless over the course of the decade, culminating in this nothing of a song.

I completely agree that it should be nowhere near as high as it is on the list and I think we all can tbh. But for me that doesn’t really make me like it less

Desiigner - Panda: 3/10, ranked #75
While this is a mediocre Future ripoff that did not deserve to hit #1 in the slightest, it isn't offensively bad and can be somewhat fun if the (extremely rare) mood is right.

Robin Thicke ft. Pharrell and T.I. - Blurred Lines: 2/10, ranked #76
A cool groove that would normally win me over easily can't save one of the worst sets of lyrics in the entire list and unenthused performances from the bottom quarter.

I guess Blurred Lines really didn’t age well considering its lyrics in the post-MeToo world (and lawsuit), but I still stand by it being one of the catchiest songs of the decade.
