Without Me and Ho Hey are just forgettable, I don't think both songs are really that bad.

Happy that without me didn’t escape bottom 20. What a grating chorus

Finally Sugar is out, horrible song.
Omg I would've though Love Yourself would've made the top half. Why is it so hated?
I was never a big fan of Cheerleader, glad to see it's leaving early.
Another big loss with God's Plan. It's burned on me a little bit but I still enjoy it.
I used to like Stay With Me, but overtime I've liked it less and less.
YES Happy is out! Hate it so much!
Yes my lowest Maroon 5 song is out! I do not like One More Night at all and glad it's out.
Another bottom 10 out. Ho Hey I was never a fan of. I can appreciate what they were going for though.
Without Me remix ft. Juice Wrld slaps and that's the version I ranked.

Absolutely adore "Without Me". It did better than I thought it would though. The tanker police didn't tank that hard this time around.
EDIT: "In My Feelings" is my least favorite single off 'Scorpion'. Surprised it did better than "God's Plan".

Only have my #92 left from my bottom ten now. I didn't realize people hated Without Me so much, it basically sounds like a Post Malone song to me (not too surprising since they have Louis Bell in common).

The Louisiana in me likes the production of In My Feelings just a tiny bit more than Nice For What.

90. Sugar: One of my least favorite M5 hits this decade. I can tolerate his falsetto most of the time, but not here. I strongly dislike this song's chorus.
89. Love Yourself: I can't say I'm surprised, but I like this and it shows how Justin has matured over the years. Not my favorite Purpose single but it still sounds really good.
88. Cheerleader: This song is quite annoying. His voice is fine, but I'm not a fan of the trumpet here and radio certainly didn't help.
87. God's Plan: I kinda dug this when it was big, but it really didn't hold up with time and now I think it's pretty mediocre and overrated. Drake is capable of making great music, but God's Plan is not it.
86. Stay With Me: Seriously? This is great. One of the highlights of 2014 and I like Sam Smith's voice. Probably not my favorite song from them, but it sounds so nice.
85. Happy: This song was cute at first, but dear lord was it overplayed to death. It's not even all that interesting and certainly didn't deserve to be the biggest song of 2014.
84. One More Night: This song is weak compared to M5's first two albums, but I enjoy it and it brings back good memories. It's insanely catchy. Verses aren't great but I like the chorus.
83. Ho Hey: Not a very memorable song, but I like it quite a bit. I think it's cool that a song like this became a hit even if the Lumineers have better songs.
82. Without Me: Beyond annoying chorus, not a fan of the lyrics, and pop radio murdered it. I'm not huge on Halsey and this song is one of the reasons why.
81. In My Feelings: As much as I think Drake has become pretty overrated, I still enjoy this song. I never cared about the In My Feelings challenge, but the song has cool production and it's pretty catchy. But 10 weeks at #1 was definitely pushing it.

Maroon 5 - Sugar: 1/10, ranked #86
It's got kind of a groove to it, but Adam went full falsetto on this one. Headphones warning.
Justin Bieber - Love Yourself: 3/10, ranked #70
Boring as fuck but mostly inoffensive, pretty much your average Bieber song.
OMI - Cheerleader: 6/10, ranked #45
Really? Come on guys, fun summer song radio filler that doesn't suck, brought down some notches by OMI's voice but still.
Drake - God's Plan: 5/10, ranked #57
Pretty much your standard Drake, beat is cool but he doesn't do enough with it, it's fine enough though.
Sam Smith - Stay With Me: 2/10, ranked #78
Boring, it's been proven time and again that they can do way better than this so we have no need for this song.
Pharrell Williams - Happy: 6/10, ranked #44
I really don't get you guys, overplay's worn off now and I can appreciate the feel good atmosphere of the song and Pharrell's charisma, but it is definitely too lightweight.
Maroon 5 - One More Night: 2/10, ranked #81
Rude was a more convincing reggae song than this.
The Lumineers - Ho Hey: 5/10, ranked #60
Meh. If there was ever a perfect 5/10 song it'd be this.
Halsey - Without Me: 1/10, ranked #88
I could definitely live without this. Fuck that chorus.
Drake - In My Feelings: 4/10, ranked #68
Watered down Nice For What without the fun, but not horrible by any means.
Damn this was a bad run for me, least I'm still top 20 for now.

Wow! So instead of your typical RnB/Urban/Country purge, we're getting a 'White Guy With Acoustic Guitar' purge, much to my dismay, who actually enjoy these types of songs. Todd In The Shadows' influence is running strong throughout this rankdown, from the display of affection for Maroon 5 to the aforementioned purge 😂
Anyway...off to an overview (including yesterday's ranking):
93. Panda (my #95): I find the production, the ad-libs, and his voice to be rather grating, but it seems to have more artistic merit than "Girls Like You" and "Meant To Be" combined, so I placed it higher than these two. I honestly don't mind it though, but definitely not something I'd go out of my way to relisten.
92. Blurred Lines (my #100): THANK GOD! This one seriously overstayed its welcome. The most baffling song to ever become a summer hit, and I constantly thank God (for Esteban) for "Thrift Shop" for blocking it from #1 on 2013's Year-End - that would have been so embarrassing and shameful in hindsight. Anyway, let me sum up my issues with the song: The production is undercooked and it stands in that awkward middle ground between fun/danceable and slow/sensual, so it ends up being neither as a result. The premise is executed in such a tasteless, misogynistic manner, from animal analogies and the idea of 'liberating' someone through sex to the repetition of "I know you want it" in the chorus (an issue I also have with its female equivalent, Jessie J's "Bang Bang"). And the three performers sound so sleazy yet bored. Oh, and the song advocates cheating, naturally, but the lack of a female performer makes it incredibly one-sided, and hence aggressive (so I totally get the MeToo concerns). This one is better left forgotten, that's for sure.
91. OMG (my #93): It tries to do something different with its interesting production, and I do like some moments of the chorus (notably the 'I want it all' bit of the pre-chorus). Still, a very subpar offer from Usher, who delivered so much better even during that decade, and with a list as strong as this one (in my opinion), it inevitably falls short, especially since I don't have any particular nostalgic memories from this one.
90. Sugar (my #55): I audibly whispered 'no' when I saw this entry. Why? It's generic and a retread of Katy Perry's superior "Birthday", but it's got a great groove and it's such a fun song. Maroon 5 has another pretty weak song on this list, but it has yet to be eliminated, surprisingly enough (and no, it's not "Moves Like Jagger")

{"ANOTHER ONE" word wall}#90: There's two not terrible Maroon 5 songs here, and this is one of them. #89: This, on the other hand, is super boring. #88: Expected this to leave early. It's not the worst thing in the world. #87: Really, I could just copy what I said from "Cheerleader" and put it here. #86: I'm glad this didn't get too overrated. Sam has his moments, but this isn't it. #85: Still don't hate this, but, like with "All About That Bass", this was too competitive of a rankdown for this to be very high. #84: Bye. #83: This was in my top half almost by default. #82: This is, genuinely, a song that I wanted to like more. #81: Okay, but seriously, can one of Drake's songs not go out any time soon?

Considering there were only like ~30 decent songs on this list the fact that we've already hit 4 of those scant pleasurable tunes while dancing around all the biggest trash so far is hilarious

89. Love Yourself (my #29, thanks guys 😄): WHY? 😭 The lyrics are very strong and display some sincere maturity from Ed Sheeran Justin Bieber. Is it an odd Year-End #1, sure, but it's still a great song tackling a different perspective of a break up. Have I told you that I love the lyrics here? Anyway, I hope you guys didn't tank Ed Sheeran's other songs, especially over some of the generic schlock that's still in.
88. Cheerleader (my #78): I knew this would be leaving soon, but at least it managed to escape bottom 10. I feel conflicted on this song: while the lyrics are pretty terrible, I absolutely adore the smooth, chill instrumentals and Omi's accent is quite charming. It does help that this song evokes some fond nostalgic memories as well 😁 Also, I'm a sucker for trumpets.
87. God's Plan (my #65): How did this leave before "In My Feelings"? Sure, its production is very standard and not particularly groundbreaking, but man, it's so catchy. Drake's delivery is great throughout and I quite enjoy the lyrics as well. It's also noteworthy how the sentiment of this song ended up being a self-fulfilling prophecy - just another plus!
86. Stay With Me (my #76, 10 away from a perfect ranking): I actually don't mind losing this one. Even if I love Sam Smith, this has always been one of their weaker songs, and the overplay definitely didn't help. Their debut had so many incredible songs, and it kind of sucks that "Stay With Me" ended up being the biggest hit. However, from a lyrical standpoint, there are much worse and uninspired songs here that need to leave soon.
85. Happy (my #37): I have a feeling some of you need more fun in your lives. It's such an instant feel-good song, and like it or not, this is one of the defining hits of the 2010s. Wouldn't put it in my personal God-tier, but it's pretty great nonetheless, and it's a song I imagine aging wonderfully thanks to Pharrell's timeless production.
84. One More Night (my #39): Hell no! Are we tanking Maroon 5 for the thrill of it now? This song is so good, such a tight groove, intense lyrics perfectly conveying a disfunctional relationship, and the chorus is very catchy. Might have some strong nostalgic memories associated with this one, but it's aged quite well (especially in comparison to another Maroon 5 song that's not out yet). It really didn't deserve bottom 20, especially with certain songs still in.
83. Ho Hey (my #62): I think I might have overranked this one a bit, now that I think about it. Still, pleasant organic production and nice, albeit generic chanting chorus. It's a product of the indie boom, but again, there's far worse here. How on Earth are my #88, #89, and #91 still here, when they are the textbook definition of generic songs by otherwise great artists. Enough with the WGWAG tanking, or else I'll be grateful I didn't decide to put my #11 in my top 10.
82. Without Me (my #86): Not complaining about this one, sounds about right. There's not much to say about this - it's as bitter break-up song as you can get. Unlike some here, I do like the production; it's quite atmospheric and conveys a sense of desperation and outrage. Still, on a list as strong as this one, it was bound to fall short. I don't want to see this on the bottom 20 of the 2019 lists, though - just saying.
81. In My Feelings (my #90): About time! It's by far the weakest Drake song here. It's just rather boring and it doesn't elicit any strong emotions from me.
Well, that was a hard blow. I went from top 5 in closeness to #21! I do not expect my #99 to be leaving anytime soon, but I should hopefully get rid of my #91 on the next reveal. Such a disappointing and bland song, especially coming from the artist in question.
