Surprised Payphone lasted this long. Fancy is still a banger. About time another Post Malone trash is out.

Roar - Still love this song was the perfect return after TD but out of the 5 Katy singles on this rankdown, this one placed 5th for me
Wow - one of only two Post Malone singles that I care for. I wouldβve preferred if other Post songs went out first
Fancy - I loved this back in 2014 but it hasnβt aged as well. Still a bop tho
Work - This got better over time and is probably in my Top 5 of Rihanna singles. Love the drunk chorus!
Payphone - This is when Maroon 5 started going downhill for me but this was one of the better singles of this lackluster era

Finally Payphone is out, one of Maroon 5's worst and I dunno why it's constantly above the superior One More Night haha. Fancy deserved far better though :/

Only 100 in my bottom 10, but thatβs going to be top 20 so Iβll just sit back. Same but it's my 99 and 94. They both have something in common and I assume they'll both be high up because this forum has bad taste. I seriously hope this something in common is not our lord and saviour Pitbull... Hm...the other possibilities are either Macklemore, fun, The Weeknd (very unlikely though, given your personal chart), Taylor Swift, The Chainsmokers, Taio Cruz, or Ke$ha. I'm intrigued, I must say π

Good grief! Just when I posted whether or not Lukas would be revealing today and went off to watch a movie, I missed five rankings. Thankfully, for the most part, nothing I really care about, and one in particular I was relieved to see leaving. Time for the mandatory comments on each entry! π
70. Roar (my #56): yeah, it's generic and as basic as an empowerment songβ’ can get, but I have nice nostalgic memories on this one as a huge KatyCat back in the day, and the first verses are actually pretty strong and relatable. However, it delves further and further into bland empowerment anthemβ’ as the song proceeds, and the 'floating like a butterfly, stinging like a bee" part and that whole second verse is so by-the-numbers and clichΓ© it hurts, which really brings the song down for me.
Looking back on it, I feel like I overranked this one, but it shouldn't have gone out this early, especially over one Katy song in particular that simply doesn't work lyrically, despite having a more inspired production. Also, if we're tanking faux empowerment anthemsβ’, my #91 is just there begging to leave the rankdown.
69. Wow. (my #82): I actually totally forgot this song was even on the rankdown and that I ranked it lower than "Psycho", which I had previously claimed to be the right Post Malone song to go out first. I actually stand by that choice, and I think I might have underranked this one. The production is extremely catchy and while the lyrics could have a better punch, the lines that work are pretty great (from bragging that the listener's grandma probably knows him to the whole 'wrote a hit song 'cause I got bored now'). Despite my low ranking, this really shouldn't have gone out so early, especially over some other songs (*coughs... "Payphone")
68. Fancy (my #70, just TWO AWAY from a perfect ranking π): It's a very standard song, but I enjoy the production and I like Iggy's flow, and Charli's chorus is pretty anthemic (which is where I believe most of its appeal is from). Still, it got overplayed really quick and it doesn't shine as bright as other songs on this rankdown.
Now that I think about it, why on Earth did I rank this below "Roar"? Was nostalgia really such a contributing factor? Anyway... when it comes to music videos, "Fancy" might be more iconic, but "Roar" is better, in my opinion. Katy Perry's music videos have been for the most part pretty exceptional and distinguishable, and it's probably why I ranked "Roar" so high.
67. Work (my #42): THIS WAS ROBBED! I know it's a divisive and highly polarizing song, and I can totally understand where the sentiment comes from. Still, it deserved to make the top half. Like, you can at least appreciate the song for the experimentation it's willing to do (of which Payphone and my crappy #91 completely lack). Rihanna sounds great, Drake sounds great, the Caribbean dancehall influences provide an improved and more mature version of Rihanna's early work, and both performers have great chemistry. This was definitely the ultimate grower for me in this rankdown - a song I initially hated and came to adore. π
66. Payphone (my #88, 22 away from a perfect ranking): Yeah, this one aged horribly, especially since it used to be my favorite from the Overexposed singles. The premise of the song is solid, but the bland and barebones production completely brings it down alongside and uninvested performance from Adam Levine (a first in their catalogue) and a completely offtopic verse from Wiz which cannot be enjoyed ironically. This is bad, and the fact it landed above Ed Sheeran's entries, "One More Night" and bloody "Work" is an utter sin!

Roar & Payphone are great songs. I can understand Roar because it kind of copies Brave alot and its a little generic, but Payphone is a great song. If i had done a rankdown it would have been top 10

Oh. Guess I don't have to do a word wall after all.
#70: I genuinely thought this was going to be in my bottom five going in. As much as I can't stand this song, though...I also can't say that it's worse than the songs below it here. #69: Not exactly Post's best song. #68: Also higher than I expected it to be, but it's not bad. It's certainly better than "Classic Man". #67: That chorus is repetitive to a fault. A big fault. #66: Oh, BLESS you guys for getting this song out much sooner this time. "Payphone" is the exact moment when Maroon 5 started their huge dip in quality.

Work is good. The chorus is very repetitive but I really like the rest of the song

Disappointing but unsurprising exit for "Fancy." It honestly lasted a little longer than I expected since everyone loves to hate on Iggy now for no reason other than they think it's cool.
"Work" deserved better too.

#70: Roar (#37): Grown on me recently
#69 ;) : Wow. (#32): I never thought I would like an urban leaning track THIS much until Post Malone made this. This is fire!
#68: Fancy (#96): I can't STAND this.
#67: Work (#99): WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK. How did you guys let this song go so far? This is nothing but repetitive crap!
#66: Payphone (#22): Alright you guys are just tanking Maroon 5 for the fun of it. This is a SOLID song that is way better than the other M5 song left in.
My #93 and #94 are songs I know are well loved by Pulse so they are going to go far but idk about my #98.

Meh. I lost four songs in my top 50, but the highest ranking was only at #32 so I guess it's OK.

My 98 is *very* well loved. No idea why, but I fully expect it to go top 20 or maybe even top 10 even though I think itβs very bad
