Look at that Katy purge. Teenage dream would’ve been my highest Katy song, probably my top 25.

I remember when LTWYL came out, but never got fully into it. Part II is actually pretty good (minus Em’s verse).

Radioactive is still great.

Pleasantly surprised at the rightful Katy Perry song being the highest. "California Gurls" has always been annoying, to me. Of course, both Post Malone songs had to be out before it.
And it's honestly very surprising that "Teenage Dream" didn't make the list, and same with "Like A G6". Both had seemingly stronger chart runs than "Bad Romance" and in (roughly) the same time period, so that's odd. Speaking of "Bad Romance", if "Radioactive" missed the top 30 (robbed AF, BTW), then maybe there is a sliver of hope that "Bad Romance" misses the top ten? Lady Gaga had a handful of other singles this decade that I would have much preferred on the decade-end over that one.

To be fair, nothing from the past year or two feels right being in the top 30. Not even "Sunflower", as much as I do enjoy that song. They were easily the most underwhelming and least memorable, in terms of what was on the charts. I guess I should at least be thankful the highly overrated "no tears left to cry" isn't in this, or else it would've gotten a free pass into the top five. "bad guy" is definitely not the song from the past couple of years that has overstayed the most, though. :sip2:

Good to have cleared the bottom 20. Especially the bottom 10, which are probably the only songs I dislike. In retrospect, should have charted Wow. a few spots higher.

Sad to see all the Katy songs and "Super Bass" eliminated, but at least there was a Post Malone purge and the loss of the putrid "Radioactive" to help offset it.

50. Sorry: Easily Bieber's best single. The production is on point and Justin's vocal performance is actually pretty great.

49. Give Me Everything: On the one hand, this is very nostalgic. But on the other hand, it's not all that interesting outside of Ne-Yo's chorus. Mr. Worldwide definitely has some better material.

48. Timber: This is a jam. It's so full of energy and I love it. Kesha fits in so perfectly here.

47. Dark Horse: I can see why some don't like this, but I kinda dig it. It's at least better than this album's lead single. She has a lot better though.

46. Moves Like Jagger: This hasn't really aged all that well, but at the right moment, this song can be quite enjoyable. Christina's verse is easily the best part.

45. One Dance: Good beat but that's pretty much it. I enjoyed it when it was popular but I have never revisited it.

44. Cheap Thrills: Pop radio made me realize that this song is pretty bland for someone as talented as Sia. "Alive" should've been the bigger single.

43. That's What I Like: Really not my thing, but I get the appeal.

42. Wrecking Ball: I used to hate this when it was popular but I've done a complete 180 ever since. I think it's one of Miley's best songs.

41. Heathens: Enjoyed it when it was popular, but it has not held up that well. It gets interesting about halfway through, but the rest is kinda boring. I still prefer it to the overrated "Stressed Out" and "Ride" though.

40. Stronger: This is a jam. Not her best, but still enjoyable.

39. Rockstar: I've never been able to fully get into Post Malone's music. This song is fine but it's just not something I ever come back to.

38. Better Now: Decent song, but quite easy to get sick of.

37. Super Bass: Catchy and upbeat jam with an infectious chorus.

36. Firework: Can't stand this one. It's very annoying.

35. Forget You: I want to like this but I find his voice quite annoying on this song in particular.

34. California Gurls: Probably one of her best songs. I enjoy this a lot and Snoop's verse is cool.

33. Love The Way You Lie: I have great memories with this one. Really enjoy the verses and I love the chorus. Definitely a big favorite.

32. E.T.: I enjoy this one quite a bit but I definitely prefer the solo version over the one with Kanye.

31. Radioactive: I remember enjoying this before it became so massive and I was hoping it would become a hit. I definitely got my wish haha.

Still a pretty quality breakup song, but I have no use for it now that Circles exists.

Another perfect 5/10. The last one of these though, thankfully.

I don't know why Katy made Roar when she already had a perfectly fine song in the same mold. How E.T. beat this I'll never know.

CeeLo Green - F**k You!: 10/10, ranked #7

Knew this was coming eventually, first top 10 drop. Sans the bridge CeeLo is a great performer, the soul vibe fits him perfectly, and the lyrics add humor to a crappy breakup situation which is an interesting twist.

Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg - California Gurls: 4/10, ranked #65

Even 10 years later, overplay has still killed this one for me, and it's a bit too sugary sweet (music video pun unintended) for my tastes. But still, I repeat myself: how E.T. beat this I'll never know.

Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie: 10/10, ranked #2

Fantastic song. The "window pane" line gets a lot of focus but aside from Eminem's dad jokes the lyrics are amazing. Rihanna delivers the best hook in this list and the sound is spot on, love this one.

Katy Perry ft. Kanye West - E.T.: 1/10, ranked #87

Finally gone, fuck this song. A boring slog with a terrible concept and abysmal performances, especially Kanye.

Imagine Dragons - Radioactive: 6/10, ranked #47

A bit of a slog but Dan's vocal power really adds a lot to this.

My favorite part about these knockouts is that my lowest ranked song still in is at #51 and a 6/10. We love to see it.
