Is this predictable and obvious? Yes.
Is it still an excellent song worthy of winning? Yes.

The winner hasn't been posted at the time I started writing this, and I already know out of the top 2 the winner will be my pick (EDIT: exactly because of what Red said after the #1 was revealed), and I already know there will be incoming backlash.
Throughout the course of the tournament I realized it now makes more sense to submit discoveries than hits. Discoveries make the list a lot more special, and I've made countless discoveries in these tournaments over the past couple years that I really enjoy. I mean that. But I'm disappointed seeing anyone bashing hits that placed very high because they were the safe choices. I submitted "Don't Start Now" because I love it, no other reason. That was the main rule for this tournament, submit your favorite songs, I didn't submit it to win the whole thing, and I doubted that at list 33 that I'd take the song. It seems everyone caught onto the whole discoveries-only thing before I did and before it ever became an official rule, which I believe because neither "Never Really Over" and especially the widely-praised hit that is "Truth Hurts" made it to the tournament and it took 33 lists for "Don't Start Now" to get through. I'm definitely one of the most basic-taste users on this site, because I'm just that type of person who grows to love a lot of generic music and who barely chooses to find current music outside of pop or anything that missed top 50 on Pop radio. I knew not many discoveries in the tournament, and the one pick of mine that didn't reach the Hot 100 placed near-last.
The point is: it's still your choice, but what I think is that it's very unnecessary to judge these songs by hit status. It's like the rule sometimes used in rankdowns that's along the lines of "don't tank songs so your favorite has a better chance of winning" like what happened in 2018 Urban with "Sicko Mode". No one was expecting "Circles" to win the seed 4 rankdown, and everyone was so disappointed that people became somewhat dishonest to their opinion and it fell down on their finals lists because they didn't want to see it place high, and it was tanked enough to place in the bottom 10 in the finals. I tried somewhat to balance songs that I knew and songs I didn't (which was the vast majority) for this rankdown, and I really enjoyed several discoveries, including a couple that made the finals, enough for it to be top 10 on my lists. And despite never being a hit nor reaching the top 50 on Pop, I've known "Doin' Time" for a while now, and I really love it and I think it would have been an excellent tournament winner.
I said this once before and I'm not sure if anyone listened, maybe it sounds ridiculous, but I suggest the next tournament host should just make a rule that disqualifies any top 40 (Hot 100) hit from being in the tournament. I think it would be a great idea so it becomes an almost totally discovery focus like more and more people would prefer and it also won't have obvious winners that people will, sometimes, find a way to prevent it winning despite having some of the most people liking it, like, to some of you, this one.
I'm so glad Dua won but at the same time I'm disappointed because I know I'm going to stress over the meh reactions and it also prompted me to write this stupid word wall. Thank you to the participants who love this song like I did, and if you tanked it, sorry, because the rest of the participants just really loved it.
Sorry if any stuff in here was out-of-order, or if I just sound ridiculous, or plain "it's not that deep" cringe. I just typed my heart out.

idk if i've made it clear on here or not but i did not tank dsn bc it was a hit.
i did so bc i don't like the song and i feel like it relies way too much on pastiche. not to mention, i think the chorus is clunky and i feel like the song is a disjointed mess

I didn’t tank Circles because it was a hit. I just put it low because it has really shrunk on me

Couldn't pick a better top 3 if you tried. #TASTE Also what a flawless order for them to depart in!

FYI, I actually ranked "Circles" higher than I would've if I had gone by what my ranking was in the original seed

When did anybody say they were tanking big hits on purpose? From what I’ve seen in this thread, people just simply didn’t want the big hits to win, but that does not mean that they actually put the songs any lower on their list than their actual opinions of the songs.
