"Merry Go Round" smacks! It is a total jam and the auto-tune is fine on it for me, lol. Easily one of the best 'party country'-type songs I've heard. Loved those girls and their debut album was fantastic imo.

Another perfect ranking! Fuck yes! I like Lee Brice more than most, but this song is underwhelming and the music video for this played all the time on CMT. When this song kind of flopped I figured that was the end of Lee Brice's career. I was wrong

#114. Shania Twain - "Today Is Your Day"

It was her first radio release since "Shoes" in 2005. The song wasn't on album, but rather used as a promotion song with Shania's television documentary, Why Not? with Shania. It only spent six weeks charting on Mediabase, peaking at #37. It peaked at #36 on Billboard. Shania wrote the song by herself. The song was the first to use David Foster as producer, with Nathan Chapman, instead of ex-husband and frequent collaborator, Mutt Lange.
I love Shania's '90's material, as well as some of the songs from Up!. I even liked "Don't!" and I Ain't No Quitter" from her Greatest Hits album...but this song, yikes. The production and vocals/arrangement are awful, imo. The lyrics are just not my idea of motivation, either. This was the moment I knew I would likely not enjoy any music from Shania from that point forward.

Bad song, underwhelming and Shania has had much better, even if I think her voice is not as good as her voice was during the 90s and early 2000s.

Well, considering that "Shoes" came in last place in the 2005 rankdown, I'd say we can agree that this one was an improvement from her!

"Beautiful Every Time" being out = better. Lee Brice is just so awful to me.

Well, considering that "Shoes" came in last place in the 2005 rankdown, I'd say we can agree that this one was an improvement from her! I was literally thinking the same thing. It's why I initially predicted bottom 5 placement for this one. Just like "Shoes," I knew it wouldn't have much support. And I actually think "Shoes" is much better than this and less deserving of dead last than "Today Is Your Day" would've been (although she admittedly had much weaker competition in this year vs the year with "Shoes").

Didn't care for any of these songs leaving. John Rich has very interesting production choices for the JaneDear girls...

#113. Big & Rich (feat. Gretchen Wilson) - "Fake I.D."
Total Points: 2,076 Average: 90.2 Year Released: May 31st, 2011 Mediabase Peak: #46 Billboard Peak: #47
Rankings:
Following:
"Fake I.D." was released in May of 2011 as a radio single off the Footloose remake soundtrack. Big & Rich would release their studio album comeback single the following year with "That's What I Pray." "Fake I.D." features fellow Muzik Mafia member, Gretchen Wilson on backing vocals. The single peaked at #46 on Mediabase in August. "Fake I.D." is definitely towards the bottom of my Big & Rich discography rankings, although nothing is as bad as "Party Like Cowboyz." I do like Big & Rich's music for the most part but "Fake I.D." was not a favorite.

"Fake ID" is one of the most grating songs I have ever heard. Some artists (Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, etc) have a personality that can make a bad song sound charming, but Big & Rich have a personality that just makes a bad song that much more annoying...

This is actually the first Luke Bryan song that I ever listened to... and I liked it at the time being unaware of what bro-country was. Looking back on it this song has not aged well at all.

I like this song solely for how much it was at High School Dance's and was one of the few songs everyone including myself went NUTS for. Lots of Nostalgia for this song hence the high ranking

The nostalgia factor is what drove me to place it at #81 but this is just not a good song in the long haul. It has aged terribly and tbh I blame it for starting the modern bro-country trope.

I think the reason why Good Hands got tanked is because of the similes used in that song? I think it is a decent uptempo though.

Oh snap I hadnât realized that âCountry Girlâ had been revealed already. I have a lot of mixed thoughts about this song, but in the end I admit that itâs a catchy tune and one that I can never quite hit skip on whenever it comes on the radio. While I never seek this one out on its own, I still find it to be a bit of a guilty pleasure. As for Luke Bryan the artist is concerned, well, heâs going down as one of the most overrated country stars of all time.

I honestly understand why some of yâall dislike this, but I equate this to something like Blakeâs âBoys âRound Hereâ which I also consider to be a guilty pleasure of mine.

I honestly understand why some of yâall dislike this, but I equate this to something like Blakeâs âBoys âRound Hereâ which I also consider to be a guilty pleasure of mine. The difference is that Blake's "Boys Round Here" is actually meant to be tongue-in-cheek. It's soooooo blatantly tropey and over-the-top, with a whimsical delivery, that it almost sounds like a total mockery of the country genre. Whereas "Country Girl Shake It For Me" might as well be the equivalent of Chase Rice telling his girl to get her little fine ass on the step and shimmy up inside... I mean, obviously I guess Luke tries to sell it like some sort of fun little ditty, but he certainly isn't a talented enough vocalist to pull off "fun sexism".
