The right choice. Bet she would strip this down during award show performances though.

Miranda gave radio a two-minute interview about “Bluebird.” She says Luke Dick had the idea for the song and Miranda loved it. “It’s dark but still hopeful.”

Yassss! The absolute 100% best choice they could've made for the next single! I am so stoked to see that she picked this. I can see this one taking her back to the top 10. It's definitely less polarizing than the lead single. ETA: Also that single cover is absolutely gorgeous! I love it!

This is my favorite song of hers in a long time, but I have no clue how it will do at radio. Part of me thinks her time at radio could be coming to a close soon, but I hope she can score another hit.

Fantastic choice! I was initially pulling for “Mess With My Head”, but I now think this is the better choice for the second single. It sounds fresh and different for her, and is one of my favourites of hers in a long time. I can see it being a great hit, especially at this time of year. I’m pretty optimistic about this one’s chances of making it to the top 10. I do still want MWMH third though.

Hopefully this song has more legs than the lead single. Even if radio doesn’t embrace it, if her streaming numbers are above average this could be her biggest hit in a while.

Its been a long time since i've loved a Miranda song, but i absolutely love this. My favorite of hers since "Famous in a Small Town" and easily in my top 5 from her all time. I really hope this can do well!

Perfect choice!! One of my Top 5 from the new album and one of my all time favorites from her. Hoping this can crack at least Top 10. In these winter months especially, I think this one could possibly do it.

My favorite is, “Dark Bars,” but this is second!

Potentially off-topic question, but why is season a factor when releasing singles if the season in consideration is the season of the impact date rather than the peak date? This song would certainly sound great in winter months, no doubt about that, but it theoretically would be getting very little airplay during the winter months and wouldn't peak until late spring/summer.

This song would certainly sound great in winter months, no doubt about that, but it theoretically would be getting very little airplay during the winter months and wouldn't peak until late spring/summer. The only recent example I can give is Cry Pretty. The song was released in April and peaked in August. Still went to the Top 10 but I saw some posts here on Pulse that said summer parties would change the station when it came on due to it being a slower and more depressing song. If the timing were right and Carrie had released in November 2017 or around that time as originally planned (before her heartbreaking tragedies) I think it would have been another #1 just because it is a more autumn-like/wintry song. (Winter statistically is when depression dramatically rises, etc.) Then again it's sexist, ageist country radio and no matter what season a song is released or peaks, both Carrie and Miranda are now in their mid-30s. They both have one or two more good chances at successful radio eras before they start to get the boot so I'll take a Top 10 for "Bluebird" even if it ends up being #10.

Upon first listen, it actually felt like (other than Tracks 2 and 4) the album was very back-loaded. All my favorites were from Tracks 7-14. Upon another couple spins, the album dramatically grew on me and now I love just about every song on the album. Top 5: 1. Bluebird (I said it was one of my Top 5 lol) 2. Dark Bars 3. Track Record 4. How Dare You Love 5. Settling Down

Just heard this on the radio! So happy to see it's the next single. Honestly it sounds like the most hit worthy track on the whole album.

Actually #89 @ Mediabase Chart. Got 3 adds this week, I hope these numbers to increase a lot next week.

Third most added song with 30 adds this week for add date (I think 33 in total). Solid enough start for "Bluebird", but I imagine if this song is gonna be a hit it is probably gonna need 30 to 40 weeks on the chart would be my guest.

It pulled in a little less adds than I expected it to, but I don't think in the end it will matter much because it's going for adds at a time when the charts are slowing down for the holidays anyway so it's not gonna do much of anything until that clears out. That said, I think the buzz this single has with the fans will carry it to a success for her, and I can't see it being particularly polarizing in the callouts either.

She hasn’t had a top 10 at least on Billboard since “Somethin’ Bad” back in 2014 as a lead artist (of course she was featured on “Drowns the Whiskey”) so it’s been 5 years!! I can’t remember if “Vice” went top 10 on Mediabase. If we’re talking Billboard she hasn’t had a #1 hit since “Over You” in 2012, really crazy to think about for one of the biggest female country stars in the genre.

Nope "Vice" peaked at #11 on Mediabase, in fact there was a week I remember in 2016 where it was supposed to be at #10 at the end of the week but Big & Rich "Lovin Lately" snuck into the Top 10 on Mediabase and "Vice" remained just outside the Top 10 til it eventually gave up.

That is far too long, especially considering she's one of the biggest female country stars of this generation. So many wonderful songs have not been given a Top 10 chance (or a #1 chance for that matter!)
