I am all on board for "Tequila Does" as the next single, though I worry about the slowwwwwww start to the song negatively impacting testing. It would be great for whatever song is next to completely rebound Miranda at country radio by at least securing her another top 10. I honestly think it would make for a better fourth single. Let "Mess with My Head" give her another comfortable hit with country radio first, then give "Tequila Does" a try in 2021, when the gamble would be less risky and the single would also fit better with it climbing next spring/summer as I assume single #3 will take us through the rest of this year and peak in winter. Just my thoughts.

Until reading this thread I am not sure "Tequila Does" was ever in my mind as a potential single. I am not sure I see that happening. I think it will be "Too Pretty For Prison," "Mess With My Head" or "Settling Down" (she performed this on Thanksgiving Day).

I do think "Tequila Does" will be the next single especially since it is one of only 5 songs featured in this video that will premiere tonight on Miranda's YouTube page She is also just named her (adorable) new kitten after it, so yeah I'd guess Tequilla does as well

This is Miranda Lambert though so watch her release "White Trash" or "Locomotive" next. In all seriousness though, I really hope she can keep scoring big hits this album era. "Bluebird" has been such a boon to radio momentum and I'd hate to see it be a fluke and not carry over into future singles from the project because Wildcard is fantastic and deserves legs.

Impressed how well this has done, on both country and the Hot 100.

Okay, "Locomotive" is HELLA catchy and bad-ass though. I would be 100% here for it as a single Edit: "Track Record" is also one of my faves on the album. Such a smooth, breezy groove Sounds like a huge hit to me.

Love that this continues to do so well!
I'm a huge fan of the album, but "Mess With My Head" sounds like the really obvious third single choice. I like all of the other ones mentioned (I had never considered "Tequila Does" as a single, but it does make sense), but I will be a little disappointed if the next single isn't "Mess With My Head".

Re-posting this link so it isn't buried on the last page since it wasn't out yet at the time of posting: Great performances! She sounded so good, especially on "Bluebird" which is always a home run for her vocally. I also always love her fashion sense. That outfit was so cute. She does introduce "Tequila Does" as her 'favorite one' so it could very well be the next single. It's a fun song imo, but I just dunno if I can see that one smashing. I hope to be proven wrong and it does hit big if released, but it just seems a little unconventional of a tempo for me to imagine it in high rotation on radio.

I would love "Tequila Does" as single, also "White Trash" and "Locomotive" would be great choices IMO. For 4th single I want "Settling Down"

My choice would definitely be Track Record. Something about Tequila Does just doesn't work as a whole for me. Mess With My Head is catchy but I don't think that's enough. We need better. Fire Escape is one of my favorites but probably not right for radio. :/

I hate "Tequila Does" and absolutely do not want it as a single. Oops :kii:
In seriousness though, I know I'm in the minority, but I also fear "Tequila Does," despite its movement of the needle, might torpedo the momentum "Bluebird" has given this era (loving the Hot 100 placement it has!!!!)
Personally for single #3, I would absolutely love "Mess with my Head," "Track Record," or "Fire Escape," followed by an attempt at "Settling Down" for single #4. If we're lucky enough for 5 singles, I'd close things out with "Locomotive." This album really has enough for 6-7 singles imo. If only she was like Luke Combs on the charts </3

Count me among those hoping for “Tequila Does” next. It was the next biggest standout song on the album after “Bluebird”.

I love "Fire Escape" but it won't work for radio.
"Track Record", "Mess With My Head", or "Settling Down" I think are all safe and still strong enough for radio, but may not have as big of an impact for her. I could see them all making the top 10 again but be a little more forgotten.
"Tequila Does" or "Dark Bars" would be amazing choices that would be risky. If radio takes to them then I could see either being songs that help her momentum grow.
"Way Too Pretty For Prison", "Locomotive", and "White Trash" I could all see being picked but feel like they'd flop around where "Smokin' & Drinkin'" did.
"How Dare You Love" is another favorite for me and I want to think it could be a hit, but it seems too low key.
"Holy Water" and "Pretty Bitchin'" are the only two I don't see any potential in...so watch them pick one of them haha

Bluebird has been my Fav song from Miranda in a longgg time glad its doing well on the charts
I think "Tequila Does" should be the next single although it does start out slow
I actually have a feeling Too Pretty for prison will be 3rd then followed by Tequila does. Im not a huge fan of the Maren duet but I bet they will release it. Would prefer Track Record or Mess With My Head

I definitely am expecting 'The Bones' to win Single of the Year. I'd love to see this win Song but I think it has some hard competition. I think she will probably win Album though.

I’ll be happy with either Mess With My Head or Tequila Does. I think any of the others will be floppy on radio.
I do think the album will win for Album of the Year. It is a great COUNTRY album with no fillers or skippable tracks. ❤️

Is there usually a CMA nomination predictions thread? Or is it just winner predictions once we have nominations... All these talks are getting me thinking!
I can absolutely see Wildcard taking album of the year. Absolutely.

She's had better luck at the ACMs with Album of the Year (every MirLam record except Kerosene has won that title), but I think she's got a really good shot at the CMA for Album this year as well!
