Guys, I just noticed the Billboard site uncredited Beyoncé on Savage, while they still have the credit for Nicki Minaj in Say So.
I hope Bey still gets the credited for the Year End. 😞

...Is it bad that Go Crazy is close to making my best list? I think the consensus is that Go Crazy is Chris Brown’s best song since Yeah 3x, so no, even if you’re judging yourself against popular opinion, it’s not “bad”

I think Go Crazy isn't a bad song at all in fact its quiet good (Not in my top 10 though). I think a lot of the hate is just cause its Chris Brown and people feel obligated to put it on their worst lists based on that. But if where real Freaky Friday wasn't one of the worst songs of 2018 either. You might not like Chris Brown or think he is a bad person (believe me you have every right too), but he isn't the WORST thing in music.

I never really noticed this until now but have you guys noticed that electric music is pretty dead? Like, most of the acts (The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Kygo, Grey, etc.) don't have hits like they used to in the mid-late 2010s.

Marshmello is the only name that comes to mind with hits that are EDM and had consistent hits as of late. Even he doesn’t have the pull he used to anymore. Other than that, yeah I agree that EDM is on the downward trend.

Furthermore, nobody's in a mood to dance and party in these times anyways, that's probably why nostalgic retro throwbacks are thriving on charts instead, we need escapism EDM will make a comeback eventually but yeah let's give it a break and enjoy After Hours and Future Nostalgia

Honestly, even if "Freaky Friday" didn't feature Chris Brown, it would still be in my top 5 worst hits of 2018. It's such an unfunny 'comedy' song where most of its humour is painfully immature and quite gross at times, especially the 'can I really say the n-word' bit and everything about Kendall Jenner's appearance. It's like an edgy middle schooler wrote this song (and to be fair, that is Lil Dicky's brand, starting from his stage name 💀)

Does anyone know when the year end list will be released? Will it be released alongside this weeks top 100 chart or at the end of this week?

The genres are pretty much merging.

EDM/Electronica is on it's way out at this point, and that will only become more apparent as the trends of the 2020s begin to come in full force within the next year or two.

It seems like chill/dreamy EDM is on the rise (vaporwave/Lo-fi/psychedelic)

I just hope the YE list will be released like in the morning in here (like 10:00am) I remember seeing last year's YE got released when I entered Pulse at 4:30am and silently freaking out in happiness when I found out Bazzi/Camila's "Beautiful" sneaked in the list

yeah iirc it came out on december 4th in both 2018 and 2019 so I'd expect it to come out around the same time this year
(lowkey selfishly hoping that it comes out after I finish my current rankdown so I don't have to open the 2020 rd while I'm revealing for 2016 alt, but I've accepted that it will probably happen lol)

The article stating that OTR was #1 on the Hot 100 year-end chart was published on December 5th, 2019 which I believe was the same day the chart became available:

Here's a fun fact of the day, Blinding Lights will be the first song since Love Yourself to not be released the same year it topped the year end chart.

I mean the original was but the remix was released in April and since that's the one that topped the YE I counted that instead.
