If 11/30/18 is included in 2019 and 11/30/19 is not included in 2019 but 11/23/19 is, then we have at least good reason to think *crosses fingers* that 11/30/19 would count for 2020.

Here's to hoping Even Though I'm Leaving, Lover and Ballin' don't get caught in between years
and here's to also hoping 'hot girl bummer' gets trapped between years and rots in hell.

Also hoping that “Don’t Start Now” gets to make the 2020 Year End (currently a guaranteed top 5 for my personal best list) and that Chris Brown’s “Heat” gets caught between years.

January-April is usually when the top songs of the year come around. Who do you think will dominate the first year of the new decade?

I know its a complete long shot, but let’s just say a song by The Weeknd will be #1 of YE 2020 I think it will be either a new Drake song or Dance Monkeu My money is on a new Adele song

January-April is usually when the top songs of the year come around. Who do you think will dominate the first year of the new decade? Out of the releases we know so far from well-established artists, I’m betting on upcoming releases from The Weeknd, Selena Gomez (even if “Look At Her Now” flopped, she still has potential to drop another song that clicks with the GP), and maybe Kesha (especially if it’s a more nostalgic song reminiscent of her “Tik Tok” era). “Don’t Start Now” by Dua Lipa has everything to become a top 15 hit in the US, and I hope her upcoming era gets to spawn another hit, since I’m absolutely loving the direction she’s going lately. As for rumored releases, Adele, Drake, and Rihanna will inevitably have their moment of domination once they release new music. I don’t think the One Direction boys will make much of an impact given their recent underperformance, but we never know. Finally, Taylor Swift might be able to redeem herself chart-wise with a late single release from “Lover”, since the album has plenty of incredible songs just waiting to be promoted like “Cruel Summer”, “The Man”, and “Paper Rings”. However, much like 2010, 2020 will probably have plenty of new artists trying to set up a new genre or trend. We already witnessed this in 2019 with Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish, and Lizzo, and it’s probably going to be even crazier next year. Expect lots of one hit wonders, especially as Tik Tok memes are in full power.

What’s wrong with hot girl bummer? There haven't been too many hit songs this year that make me truly angry at their quality and popularity except for this song, Earth, Robbery and Someone You Loved.

I think Selena's next singles will do well, also Weeknd, Rihanna, Adele, Justin (maybe, his album snippets sound kinda bad)

I think Selena's next singles will do well, also Weeknd, Rihanna, Adele, Justin (maybe, his album snippets sound kinda bad) Selena doesn't have #1-of-the-entire-year power. The Weeknd dominating is very possible if pushes Heartless and especially Blinding Lights hard enough Adele will probably drop next year. I don't know what everyone else is on about Justin already hit his peak in 2016. I don't think he has enough star power left to make another year-defining hit, even if it's for a worthless shitty year like the last time he was on top. Rihanna hasn't earned that yearly #1 despite being huge for a decade and a half, so maybe

Has anyone gotten the ytd year end list given that we're about 3 weeks in so far? I don't have one for 11/23/2019 yet, but I'm planning on posting my two-week year-end prediction for 12/7/2019 soon.

Sidenote: I am completely aware of the fact that the first week of 2020 might actually be 11/23/2019 instead of 11/30/2019. Somewhere along the line I'll update that if I have time. But for now, I have this:Year-End Predictions Up to 12/7/2019 (Week 2/52):Top 10 Points: Rank | Song | Radio | Sales | Weighted Streams | Total Streams | Radio % | Sales % | Streaming % | Total Points | 1 | Circles | 90,601,000 | 20,772 | 20,455,500 | 24,600,000 | 43.08 | 11.52 | 45.39 | 30,042 | 2 | Someone You Loved | 91,798,000 | 11,370 | 17,358,000 | 22,000,000 | 49.34 | 7.13 | 43.53 | 26,581 | 3 | Good As Hell | 97,398,000 | 16,806 | 12,057,000 | 15,211,000 | 56.21 | 11.32 | 32.47 | 24,753 | 4 | Memories | 70,000,000 | 16,830 | 15,571,500 | 19,410,000 | 43.13 | 12.1 | 44.77 | 23,186 | 5 | Roxanne | 15,197,000 | 4,740 | 29,778,000 | 36,600,000 | 9.52 | 3.46 | 87.02 | 22,813 | 6 | Lose You To Love Me | 62,202,000 | 15,378 | 15,477,000 | 18,600,000 | 40.82 | 11.77 | 47.4 | 21,767 | 7 | Senorita | 61,397,000 | 9,882 | 15,331,500 | 20,600,000 | 42.5 | 7.98 | 49.52 | 20,639 | 8 | 10,000 Hours | 66,598,000 | 10,716 | 13,707,000 | 16,900,000 | 46.55 | 8.74 | 44.71 | 20,438 | 9 | Truth Hurts | 66,500,000 | 10,326 | 13,218,000 | 16,871,000 | 47.42 | 8.59 | 43.99 | 20,033 | 10 | No Guidance | 59,500,000 | 3,000 | 16,467,000 | 20,761,000 | 42.55 | 2.5 | 54.95 | 19,978 |

You guys think Blinding Lights by The Weeknd makes next year’s list? It’s so good and I hope it becomes a hit. It would have to have an epic collapse in order to not make it and I just can't see that happening with how radio-friendly it is

Although I can see both Heartless and Blinding Lights being big hits in this case.
