Yeah they came out and they're pretty good. You can look at them on the respective call-out scores thread. But why is it loosing audience then? Arenβt callout scores used by radio to push hard the songs get good scores? But it gained these last two days on Pop? Anyways, a song having good call-out scores won't send it to the top of the of the respective formats chart automatically, the song still has less spins the songs above and despite its good call outs, rn "Hot Girl Bummer" has even better call outs so they're currently pushing that even harder rn.

With all the success, there is still one negative aspect - he seems to have lost Urban market and it has been like that quite a few years already, is Heartless a topnotch Urban song - absolutely, even Arizona Zervas is less Urban than Heartless, but will surpass it soon. I donβt understand why the urban people donβt like him anymore... His last EP was clearly R&B, and the only pop collab he did was with Gestalfeisen. Abel loves 80s music and anything related to MJ, but he also likes urban music. Why canβt ge do both? Also urban people "aka Black and other minorities like Latinos", still like Abel's music, a majority of us just stream music nowadays and barely tune into radio. Even back then, it was more common for us to download music off a website and listen to whenever we pleased, then tune into radio. It's why legendary groups such as the N.W.A., Hector & Tito (for Latinos) and Wu Tang Clan never had much chart success because Billboard never had an accurate way of measuring their consumption. Even then, Abel has never been that big on Urban radio (he only has four top tens on that format) and if one is asking about the losses on rhythmic radio, that's due to that format now being similar to country in that it gets songs to number one quickly and then drops them.

Why are we worried? This hit #1 and the next single is already top 10 on the big chart. A few spots on Urban aren't a big deal tbh.

And his streams are great! Which is were most fans of Urban music get their listening needs taken care of these days.
I'm expecting a huge debut for the album, based on how well even a non single did (the title track).

Sometimes i wake up thinking Heartless is better, other days Blinding Lights, i cant choose now which one is better, they are so different that dependes how i feel. Thats the best thing about The Weeknd and his music.

This grew on me a lot. I just really like his moody, darker songs for some reason lol.

Don't know why people are already trying to rule this out already, it has great call out scores and as we can see from yesterday's update, is still gaining on pop radio. This will probably reach a number three peak on the format (like most of his top ten songs) and get at least one more week in the top ten on the Hot 100 once the album drops. This song's performance, honestly just reminds me of the radio and streaming performance that "Pray for Me" had two years ago, nothing truly special but enough to get into the top 40 on the year end charts.

I think weβre all hesitant about how long this will last because βBlinding Lightsβ is doing so well on all fronts. I expected a bad guy/WTPO or truth hurts/juice type situation at this point.
Iβm hoping for a number 3 peak for this because if thereβs a record for most number 3 peaks, he must be close to breaking it

I think this will hang in there until the album release week. But I'm also expecting album release week to unveil the 3rd single, and I wonder if it's going to be an urban leaning song that can crossover to pop (like this one) or if it's going to be more pop where Urban ignores it completely. Hopefully he has a follow up Urban hit somewhere on this album.

Knowing Abel and his team, they're probably going to do another dual single release, like they've done in the past. For example: "In the Night"/"Acquainted" and "I Feel It Coming"/"Party Monster". I can see them giving "After Hours" a radio edit and pushing "Scared to Live" as this era's "I Feel It Coming". His team is just obsessed with rolling out singles like this for some reason.

Hopefully this can just remain steady for another week or so. So when the album boosts kicks in this shoots to the top ten of the Hot 100 again.

I love "After Hours". Probably my favorite out of the songs he's released from this project. Which is strange because I usually don't like when songs are over 4-4:30 minutes long.

You are probably right. I mean it's a gamble but as long as both singles can be played at both Pop and Rhythmic, then any extra Urban or Hot AC support would just be the cherry on top.
