That doesn't necessarily mean she hasn't grown since then, but her comments then are inexcusable. Dismissing actual relevant criticism towards a person as "being a hater" is severely toxic and I would greatly suggest working on not doing that in the future. |

I personally have no say about it, but people are completely justified to feel how they feel regardless of how long ago it was. She has apologized and some have and will forgive it...and some won’t. That’s just the way it is. This was self-inflicted. When Kevin Hart’s 10 year old homophobic tweets resurfaced and he apologized, people still gave him shit over it and wanted him to be boycotted. Sad because I actually liked this song, but now I just think of the incredibly hate-filled messages she was promoting not that long ago when I hear it.
I doubt it will affect her much beyond me because we live in a super racist society and honestly most people just don't care if you hate black people. Its a sad truth about the world and one that keeps me up at night sometimes.

But I, and certainly the majority of others, would never use or post the type of stuff she did at 15. However, I wouldn’t mind at all if this impacted her career drastically as she’s been shoved aggressively down our throats for the last 2-3 years, with the label pouring millions into her and throwing out anything until something sticks. It’s always fun to see the public reject something the music industry tries so hard to feed you. So it will be interesting to see what happens. |

I was ready to give her the benefit of the doubt about her age--I'm certainly grateful social media wasn't a thing when I was a teen--but then I saw/read the stuff she was posting and holy shit, that is some next-level hatred and racism. Shocking tbh, but this probably won't sink her career. Being devoid of personality and any semblance of a unique talent will, however.
