I wonder if the era had gone differently if they just released "Liar" or just released "Shameless". "Liar" never sounded like a real single to me, but "Shameless" sounded like the only song lead single worthy. Maybe if the general public only had one song to focus on, they wouldn't have went for the generic latin song. But it probably could've made things a lot worse than they are too, so maybe "Liar" was the way to go.

It's such a minor moment, but when she says "He was onto me, I swear that I couldn't breathe", her voice gets shaky and its moments like that when I stan for her. She needs to bring more of that small detailed, nuanced artistry and emotion into her music.
This song is going to do well for her. Label drama or not.

Dropped to #102 on Spotify but it should move back into the top 30 in a couple of days as there are about 70 Christmas songs ahead of this in the top 100.
