It’s impressive that a song from the 1950s manage to hit the top ten at the end of 2019

I knew it was going #1. They released those handsigned CD singles on Thursday for a reason.
They had already released CD/Vinyl singles for 48 hours only during the beginning of the week, then magically released them for another 24 hours with even more versions on the last day.

It's pretty bizarre seeing all of the stan twitter commentors that would normally say "Flop" or "Nicki Outpeaked" or whatever falling over themselves to praise Blinding Lights. It seems like people are just waiting for a reason to make it a #1 hit.

Blinding Lights might go Top 10 next week when Heartless plummets. I wonder if AIWFCIY can go #1 as early as next week.

So this year has had two songs hit #1 with the same title as 2 of my favorite songs ever that sadly peaked at #2 :/ (Without Me and Heartless)

Guys, remember when several people on this forum swore the Weeknd wouldn’t debut top 5/10 and would “underperform” with his next single? Because he “flopped” with a producer collab and a tv show single? Welp Sure, but look at what all it took for it to get there.

AIWFCIY's ascent is not surprising, though seeing "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" rank so high this soon kinda is. Queens of Christmas. :'(

It still would've been top 3 without the bundles, which is FAR from underperforming or him not being that popular anymore like many on here claimed a few weeks ago

Heartless is still ahead on all streaming platforms and has a huge radio lead Assuming they switch their focus and promo onto Blinding Lights now that Heartless did what it needed to, I don’t see how a Top 10 couldn’t possible. He could drop the MV for all we know.

These have been an anxious few weeks (Circles vs. Someone You Loved, Heartless vs. Circles), I'm glad both cases broke in favor of the song that didn't already spend multiple weeks at the top.

Hey hey, some artists have it worse so they complete suffer and truly struggle to get to #1

Also, y'all can trash physical sales now, but this is gonna be the new norm. Digital sales are in their final stage of life and it's likely we will only see a handful of songs do 20k digitally before they're phased out of the charts altogether. Now artists are finally putting effort into making sure the fans get their money's worth when they pay for a single.

Now artists are finally putting effort into making sure the fans get their money's worth when they pay for a single. I actually think physical singles are fine since people are purchasing the single itself, and not bundled with something else. It also makes awesome collector's merchandise. However those digital downloads bundled shouldn't count as another sale. Does Billboard count the digital download redemption as a sale, then another sale once the Vinyl/CD is shipped out? Because that makes no sense at all. One sale should be counted, for the Vinyl/CD single, and once it is shipped out.

I don't know why RATCT is the second biggest christmas song every year. It's one of my least favorite Christmas songs and doesn't seem to have the most relevance overall either. I would have expected Most Wonderful Time Of The Year or Last Christmas which are both some of my favorites. Also it's criminal that Fairytale Of New York doesn't end up up there with the greats It has “the least relevance” according to whom? 💀 The song was recorded in 1957 when Brenda Lee was 12, released officially in 1958 and is currently top ten on the biggest U.S singles chart 61 years later. • “Last Christmas”? LMFAO. • “Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”? That song is big... just not as big as “RATCT”.

Congrats to The Weeknd. Haven't heard the song yet, hope it's good.
Congrats to Mariah and Brenda, amazing!
On pins and needles for next week's chart.
