I feel like these are the five biggest acts who started their major label careers in the 2010s and became legit superstars. Who do you think is the number one act to come out of this decade?
I was torn between Luke Combs and Sam Hunt, but I think Luke has the edge. He has been breaking records left and right. I almost think he could be considered the Garth Brooks of modern times.

Hmmm, this is an interesting question! Part of me wants to say Florida Georgia Line just because of how huge they were for a majority of the decade. From “Cruise” to “Meant To Be” they really had two of the biggest crossover country/pop songs of the decade. “Cruise” also helped to advance a trend of poppier country that some call “bro-Country”.
Part of me wants to say Luke Combs though just because he came onto the scene so strong and has really dominated the past few years in a huge way. This should continue into the 2020’s.
Thomas Rhett would also be a good option just because he has seen so much success throughout the past 6-7 years. Something that stands out to me about Thomas is his relevance in the entertainment scene. People that like him also really like his wife/family. It feels almost as though people like him moreso than his music in a sense.
Sam Hunt is an option but even with his massive success he has also had long breaks between singles. He’s worthy of this though.
Maren Morris is also someone who had a huge decade even if it has been moreso in the past couple years.
I’m going to go with FGL for this though.

It’s easy to say Luke based on the past couple years but I’d still give it to FGL overall. At this point I’d put Thomas in third.

I was torn between Luke Combs and Same Hunt, but I think Luke has the edge. I agree though. Does Chris Stapleton not count? I think he is responsible for altering the race in this question. Otherwise easily FGL. They did break a lot of records and had a subgenre partly dedicated to them, for better or worse.

Emerge is key for me here. I look at it as also what they can continue to bring into the next decade. Thomas and Luke are tops, followed by Maren and Chris Stapleton.

Maren is my favorite and FGL are my least favorite on this list but FGL were clearly the biggest emergence. Thomas would be next for me, then Luke.

Florida Georgia Line dominated basically the whole decade and even though they're cooling off a little now, I don't think Luke Combs is particularly any bigger right now than they were back when they started. Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett definitely round out the top 3 though.

Florida Georgia Line have certainly had the most success so far. A case could be made for any of them though, really.

I simply can't stand FGL but even I know they were the biggest new country act of the 2010s. I would say Luke next, then Maren.

During his first album era, I definitely thought this would be Brett Young.

During his first album era, I definitely thought this would be Brett Young. I know right! Not that he’s not popular but him and Luke Combs we’re moving up the chart at the same time with Hurricane and In Case You Didn’t Know. At that time I thought, “these guys are the next 2 big stars”. Luke obviously is but I don’t know what’s happening with Brett in a way. “Here Tonight” hit #1 but felt like a low impact hit. I do hope the 2020’s treat him well.

Pretty easy to explain Brett Young's situation. The hype went to two of his songs but not himself. Just compare Twitter follower count for Brett Young (186k) and Morgan Wallen (176k), then you will know who would become bigger later.
