It seems that aside from Liar, the song off of Camila's album that's getting attention is My Oh My with DaBaby...which is basically what you would imagine a pop song with DaBaby would sound like. Told y'all DaBaby would be an easy guest feature for pop artists. That Maroon 5 collab is just around the corner! I just realized recently that Dababy and Lil Baby are not the same person. It's an odd little trend, putting "baby" in a rapper name. Like...they aren't thinking of the future at all, or they have no plans of having any kind of lasting career. It's kinda like the "lil", as in Lil' Bow Wow, of this decade.

Don’t understand the reasoning above. It’s not like DaBaby and Lil Baby already aren’t grown men. Not babies. They won’t soon outgrow the baby moniker. DaBaby was formerly known as Baby Jesus but for family and religious reasons changed it to DaBaby.

Speaking of Lil’ Nas X...
I can’t wait for him to score his next (third) hit.
He’s had his “Trap Queen” (on Steroids) and his “679”.
What’s next?

I'm calling it right now, we will get a One Direction comeback ala Jonas Brothers in the 2020s. For sure. None of their solo careers have really had an impact at all. Zayn was the closest but he fumbled that pretty quickly after Pillowtalk, and Harry (who everyone thought would be the breakout star) is really under-performing for the amount of backing he has. It would be super smart to cash in on a revival, and I'm sure they'd get a hit out of it too. Nial has had repeatable success. Certainly more than most ever expected. Harry’s first album had strong sales just no songs radio wanted to play.

Adore You debuts at #1 on Spotify, wow!
Lowish streams for #1 track though but it is what it is!

Speaking of Lil’ Nas X... I can’t wait for him to score his next (third) hit. He’s had his “Trap Queen” (on Steroids) and his “679”. What’s next? 😎🤓😎 Well, I would consider My Way to be his 2nd hit (I'm assuming you think it's his 3rd hit?). The reason why is because when Trap Queen blew up, My Way was definitely his next song to get popular. However, the problem was that none of his other songs were on iTunes, and they got released way after they'd started getting popular, and in a seemingly random order, and places like Wikipedia order singles by the day they were released on iTunes, rather than the order in which they went viral on the Internet (or became hits). If I haven't misremembered, I think My Way was even getting radio airplay and charting on the Hot 100/Bubbling Under before it was even on iTunes, and reached the top 10 before 679 even though it was "released" afterwards. So saying 679 is his 2nd hit is odd to me.

Is there a streaming freeze going on on Spotify because of everyone listening to Christmas music? There's no other reason why streams should be decreasing across the board on a Friday.

I wouldn't say people in general are excited for new Harry Styles music. He just has a large fanbase.
He's like BTS but less big worldwide and bigger in the US. It'll freefall like the other 2 songs. He also has very low performance outside of Spotify for all his songs so far.

I think it's a mixture of that and Spotify Wrapped. Only songs that actually gained were the old songs that were in SW playlists. But yea the numbers are super low today

This always happens in the first Friday after the Black Friday. It's possibly the weakest Friday of the year on Spotify.

Sunflower 300th day in the top ten on US Spotify.
2nd place is XO Tour Life with 211, followed by 3rd place which is The Hills with 192 days.

The latest song has entered all the 3 metrics. Fingers crossed on a possible top 20 …..if it holds out well for at least the first 5 days.

I’m hoping Adore You can get some staying power and give Harry a real lasting hit. Sign of the Times debuted high but didn’t do much after and it would be cool to see Harry Styles lingering in the top 10 for a bit.

^and to add to that it would be cool if Alternative radio picked up Adore You cause it sounds like it would fit well there to be honest.

“Adore You” debuts with enough spins to land at 36 on pop radio. It is doing so, so well so far. This plus the streams & YT video could land it a top ten spot if it can stay stable enough (though Xmas songs could screw this up)

Camila's streaming performance on both AM and Spotify is staggeringly bad. She's gonna need a lot of bundles for a semi respectable first week sales number this time around.

I'm sure his album will have moderate success like his first but clearly his celebrity is bigger than his music.

I'm sure his album will have moderate success like his first but clearly his celebrity is bigger than his music. "Lights Up" and "Watermelon Sugar" weren't actively pushed anywhere outside of the TV performances. "Adore You," on the other hand, received a radio deal and is receiving strong playlist support on streaming services. It's clear his team did not intend to the first two releases to do much besides generate buzz. "Adore You" was always the main focus. "Lights Up" was only pushed to radio in Australia, the UK, and Italy. "Adore You" is the first radio single in the US.
