Wow.
This blows away everything on Ember. I wish this wasn't the only original on Aurora now because this is a gorgeous track from start to finish.
I really don't have words. Scooter and Ben sung this song beautifully together, and the arrangement is layered so wonderfully. The piano melody is hauntingly melancholy, and the strings provide strong support without taking the track over completely. The themes aren't anything Breaking Benjamin hasn't done before several times, but it feels fresh and new performed in this way.
I have no idea how radio is going to take this. BB has slowed themselves down enough that Alt could take it, but this is still lyrically heavy and the drums still hit much harder than anything else on Alt. That being said "Zombie" did remarkably well last year so maybe this could replicate a similar peak?
Breaking Benjamin's free pass on Active isn't as strong as some of the butt rock bands either, so I don't know how "far away" from #1 this will peak.
All I hope is that this song leaves some sort of permanent legacy.

This guy is from Cold. A Cold and Breaking Benjmain mashup and all we get is this sappy Powerballad? Scratch that. This gives powerballads a bad name. Not a fan.

I used to be a much bigger BB fan back in the day when they released "Saturate" and "We Are Not Alone." Since then, I just kind of feel like that you know what you're getting from them. Most songs start out with a similar guitar riff and Ben screaming. On each album, they'll be a ballad or two similar to this one that repeats the lyrics a lot and humming or whatever that is in the background. I mean this is fine, but they haven't made anything that has really stood out to me in a very long time.

This is too tame for them. Not a bad song by any means but I have no desire to hear it again. Like a watered down version of themselves.

That Aurora version of "Dear Agony" is amazing. I hope it's the next single. I can't see them releasing anything else except "Dance with the Devil" since neither of those two original songs were singles, but seriously, Lacey needs another hit.
