I'm listening to it right now on iHeartRadio. Here are some of the highlights: "You Need To Calm Down" won the VMA for Video of the Year. Dean Lewis was the biggest Australian act of the year. Ed Sheeran had the biggest tour of the year. "Old Town Road" is the shortest song in AT40 history and the top seller of 2019, certified 10 times platinum. "Shallow" won the Oscar for "Best Original Song"; after debuting in 2018, it fell off the chart and re-entered. "Me!" was the highest debut of the year, coming in at #10. Ariana Grande had 8 Top 40 hits in 2019. "Love Lies" ended a 59 week run in 2019, the longest running hit of the year. Billie Eilish was the first singer born this century to have a #1 hit. AJ Mitchell was the youngest solo male artist to have a hit this past year. "7 Rings" spent 5 weeks at #1, the most for any song in 2019. "Lover" is the top selling album of the year. Ryan named the Top 5 movies of the year before playing "Sunflower" from "Spider-man Into the Spidey-verse." "High Hopes" was the #1 alternative song of the year. Halsey has the Top 2 songs with "Eastside" and "Without Me"; in good company with Elvis (1958) and The Beatles (1964). We know AT40 didn’t exist in 1964 or 1958. The Beatles did have #1 and #2 on Billboard’s published yearend chart in 1964. I’m not sure where Elvis Presley would have had the top two of 1958. That doesn’t sound right at all.

Neither of the top two songs of 1958 were by Elvis.

They could have said Elvis in 1956 and they'd have been correct: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_year-end_top_50_singles_of_1956

Ryan also stated that Close To Me was the only song to peak at #2 all year...he forgot about Breathin. That literally sounds like Ryan is mocking the song for some reason. Breathin' spent five nonconsecutive weeks at #2 in December 2018 and January 2019; since it first reached that position in 2018 technically he was right in that "Close To Me" was the only one to initially hit that peak in 2019. Still, it would have been better to say that it was one of two songs in the countdown to peak at #2. Meanwhile, regarding the year's #1's, in addition to the incorrect declaration that "7 Rings" was the longest running #1 of the year (how did everyone forget about "Sucker"'s eight weeks after only six months?), "7 Rings" was actually tied with "Happier", both with five weeks on top, though again "Happier"'s were in December 2018, so technically not 2019 but still part of the year's countdown. (Happier's total includes the two year end "frozen" weeks; without that "High Hopes" might well have had an additional week or two there.) Ryan also said leading into "Without Me" that it was #1 for four weeks "in the spring". YMMV, but its four weeks on top were those ending February 9, 16, 23, and March 2, which I don't really consider "spring".

Wouldn't the peak of a song be determined by the last week the song maintained its highest position?

I want to point out that this year in AT40 had firsts for David Guetta, Jason Derülo, Pitbull, Charlie Puth, and even Rihanna. And that one thing they have in common is that they did not make an appearance at any point in 2019 for the first time since the year of their respective debuts.
