Golden slaps to this day and was way more exciting (and successful) than KMO.
I still use nearly all the tracks.
That said, I'm always excited for NU KYLIE

I don’t understand the hate for Golden. I feel like she really delivered a unique blend of pop and country. I loved a lot of the album! Dancing Golden ALTR SMFF Radio On Every Little Part of Me Lost Without You One Last Kiss Not to mention we got two of her best music videos of all time, so visually stunning: Dancing and Stop Me From Falling.

Golden has that quality that can destroy an album in my eyes (Mariah’s Memoirs... suffers from that as well) - ALL SONGS SOUND ALIKE!!!
Thank you, next!

Cohesion is a bad thing? Ok then. I enjoyed Golden but cannot lie and say I don’t want dance pop diva Kylie to come back with a roaring vengeance.

I haven't loved anything from Kylie since the 1, 2 punch of "All The Lovers" and "Get Outta My Way". Hoping for some light pop dance smashes.
Edit: I loved her song with Tove Lo. If they wrote together for this new album and do something in that vein, I'm all for it.

Not to mention we got two of her best music videos of all time, so visually stunning: Dancing and Stop Me From Falling. "Music's Too Sad Without You" was a haunting visual as well, IMHO. Also, "Rollin" and "Raining Glitter" were also highlights for me in addition to your list. I think "Shelby '68" is the only real dud for me. "Radio On" is fine and didn't need a soundalike right next to it on the album.

I loved Golden, but I'm excited at the thought of new disco pop from Kylie.

Golden was good but it doesn’t have a ton of replay value for me like most of her albums do. If she goes with a similar throwback vibe like a lot of the girls are doing these days, I’d be down. (although I’m always down for literally whatever she does lmao)

I don’t love Golden but it’s not even my least favorite of her albums. Even to this day I’m still listening to the Dancing and SMFF remixes. Some really good ones were released.
I’m looking forward to new music. Been listening to a lot of Kylie lately to help me get through this confinement.

Golden is becoming one of my favorite Kylie albums. The songwriting is really strong and I love the country vibe of the album as a whole.

Golden is becoming one of my favorite Kylie albums. The songwriting is really strong and I love the country vibe of the album as a whole. I liked all the singles from that era. Yes, even Music’s Too Sad Without You. With Future Nostalgia being well received and topping the charts everywhere I think there is a chance Kylie could yet again have big comeback and successful era if she goes back to pop/dance. Regardless, I’m excited for new music. Hope she releases something soon

Can we get Sophie Ellis Bextor back to pop as well??

I never fell in love with Light Years. I only liked Spinning Around, On a Night Like This and Your Disco but I'm a "new" Kylie fan. My introduction to her was Fever. I have enjoyed most of her albums since then (Kiss Me Once and Golden being at the bottom).

I listened to Light Years yesterday, what a great pop album it is. Lmfao save for a couple of songs one of her weakest albums! Camp at its worst. I agree. I find it rather dreadful when taken as a whole, horrific low points. Even with its mighty two first singles (OANLT is one of my absolute favorites), it's probably crushed by all of her other efforts besides Enjoy Yourself for me. I'm not going to say it's completely without highlights (mainly Butterfly and especially the title track), but as a whole effort front to back, it's bad much more than good. Body Language is her magnum opus for me. It is so smooth and sexy, I mean actually sexy rather than leaning hard into carnality like the majority of post-Madonna pop acts normally do. And it's brimming with personality as well. The runner-up is X because of the variety. I know some point to how much it jumps around as a negative, but for me, it's a defining feature of that album because it does it so much (I'd say the same about Taylor Swift's Red as a parallel).

(Kiss Me Once and Golden being at the bottom). With the exception of Into The Blue, which is phenomenal, the Kiss Me Once album was very blah. And the album cover was awful. Golden was a step in the right direction in every regard.

The title track of Kiss Me Once is probably one of the greatest things Kylie has put out in the last decade. Such a marvelous pop song, echoing her SAW 80's stuff. Adore it.
