28. Liar - Camila Cabello
OK, Imma say it now. Camila Cabello released amazing songs in 2019 and "Romance" is amongst my Top 5 albums of the year. The lead single (or 2nd single lmao) of the project (or dual single uuh I don't even know anymore) has great trumpets (?) playing through out. The Rhythm is so different and it's so catchy! "Liar" has some great production choices and Camila sounds amazing on it! Sometimes you feel like you still need a certain thing or someone but well, you don't! Don't lie to yourself and let them go.
Favorite line: I don't care if you're here, or if you're not alone. I don't care, it's been too long, it's kinda like we didn't happen. Release date: September 4 Peak on my chart: #1

27. Broken - Kim Petras
Another Kim track and what should I say? It's definitely her strongest. She kicked the album rollout off with this banger about being heartbroken. The structure is different whilst as expected the production is amazing with some vocal effects and other little details spread around. Lyrically I also really love this like most of her other tracks. That outro is also just uuuh so good. It's OK to sometimes be a bit angry at somebody for hurting your feelings or even leaving you. We have anger in our hearts that needs to be put out and that's OK. We're just humans.
Favorite line: I used to do it all for you, I used to give it all to you. Release date: April 25 Peak on my chart: #2

26. break up with your girlfriend, I'm bored - Ariana Grande
Of course Ariana was gonna make an appearance. The production on this instantly stood out to me, it's a major low key jam. Personal highlights for me are the pre-chorus as I love how she sounds a bit off, the post-chorus repeating girlfriend and the bridge. This is just a cute little bop. I remember FaceTiming with a friend when the album came out and we watched the music video and it the ending especially felt like such a moment. I literally thought this when my former best friend replaced me with his now girlfriend lol. I'm not mad at all, just find it kinda weird now. I can have fun on my own.
Favorite line: I know it aint right but I don't care. Break up with your girlfriend, cause I'm bored. Release date: February 8 Peak on my chart: #1 (for three weeks)

25. Not OK - Kygo & Chelsea Cutler Chelsea Cutler is a name that was bound to appear on here somewhere, too. It was my first concert back in January (Imma see her again this May ). I was super excited when this collab was announced (and super pissed when "Higher Love" was pushed instead of this). Tbh, I was kinda disappointed at first as this is way more Kygo-ey than Chelsea Cutler-ish production-wise but lyrically Chelsea is all over this. This grew immensely on me, I love the drop and just everything else about it especially the outro and her vocals. I'm not the only one missing someone sometimes and having the feeling of being so down and sad because of them. However not being OK is no problem sometimes. Favorite line: I can't believe I'm calling you just to say, I'm not OK. Release date: May 23 Peak on my chart: #4

24. Lunchbox Friends - Melanie Martinez
Melanie Martinez K-12 album (and film) definitely impressed me. All the songs grew on me (shout out to "Teacher's Pet" and "Highschool Sweethearts") but this stood out to me since the snippet was released. The pitched vocals on the chorus slay and the whole vibe the song has going on is a lot of fun. This taught me to be more careful about the people I surround myself with. I dont people that don't feel like real friends or that aren't deep in any shape or form.
Favorite line: I don't want no lunchbox friends, I want someone who understands. Release date: September 6 Peak on my chart: #5

23. Forgive or forget - Ina Wroldsen
Ina Wroldsen was featured on some bangers like "How Deep Is Your Love", "Breathe" and more recently "Obsessed". This however is definitely my favorite of her this year. It has a kind of sad vibe (makes sense considering the lyrics) and some great production choices. Especially the post-chorus after 2nd chorus is so good. This deserved to do something. (Shout out to its R3HAB remix too) I can't forgive or forget you. I had the feeling somebody is doing bad things but I received the repercussions from it. However, if I can't forgive somebody I should forget them.
Favorite line: Truth is you are a bad one, truth is I fell and you won. Release date: July 12 Peak on my chart: #1

22. MONOPOLY - Victoria Monét & Ariana Grande
Another Ariana track and a polarizing choice at that. Yes I loved this "gift to the fans" with a fun yet simple video. It's very catchy in my opinion and both women just sound as if they have a lot of fun which I found very contagious. Just a simple bop which only true hardcore Arianators can enjoy it seems. This is a savage track to me that made me appreciate myself for being awesome and yall should do that too! This also makes me appreciate what I've achieved this year, moving out, finishing school and driving school.
Favorite line: I been on a roll, where you been? Release date: April 1 Peak on my chart: #1

21. All Day And Night - Europa ft. Madison Beer
Madison Beer released "Hurts Like Hell" last year which really got me obsessed at the time. This easily beats this in every way. A Euro-pop banger with a synth-pop singer? Sign me up! The production is crazy and I love the ending especially. It got me dancing and screaming along at the same time and that's just so much fun. Super glad this got to be present on radio in my country. Lyrically, this touches me as she sings about how she's missing somebody which did bad things to her. It's best to just get happy without somebody and sleepless nights are sometimes necessary for further growth.
Favorite line: I think about you day and night now I can't get no sleep. Release date: March 28 Peak on my chart: #2

I decided to listen to "All Day and Night" for the first time after seeing it here, and I ended up listening to it 3 more times. Really good song.
