1. What will be #1? “Homemade”
2. What will be #14? “Señorita”
3. What songs will comprise the Top 5? It’s alway a safe bet to guess the singles will make it in, so I expect “Homemade”, “Made for You”, and “Down to the Honkytonk” all to make it in with “I Was Jake (You Were Diane)” being the only one to not make it. That leaves two possible album tracks sneaking in of which I think both “Drink All Day” and “Catch a Cold One” stand the best shot being top 5 contenders.
4. What songs will make up the bottom 5? “Señorita”, “Ain’t Here to Talk”, “Grass Is Always Greener” and “In It” all stand out like potential contenders. For the last remaining spot I’ll predict the lead single “I Was Jake (You Were Diane)”.
5. For this album, Jake Owen collaborated with two artists, Kid Rock and Lele Pons. Which collab will bow out first? The Lele Pons collab out first with a decent chance of the Kid Rock duet just scraping the bottom 5.
6. Which of the four singles from this album will place highest? “Homemade” at #1 Lowest? "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" at #7 (but hoping bottom 5)
7. Which album track would you personally like to see do best? Hopefully “River of Time” but I’m just keeping my fingers crossed it escapes the bottom 5
8. Any other thoughts/predictions? I’ve been relatively surprised by how much I’m enjoying Jake’s albums so far. He doesn’t have a lot of in-depth material which is just fine because its a nice change of pace over what I’d normally listen to.

1. What will be #1? One of the singles, surely. I'm gonna guess "Jack and Diane" but I think "Honkytonk" and "Homemade" might have a shot, too!
2. What will be #14? The song with Kid Rock prob.
3. What songs will comprise the Top 5? The four singles will likely all be there. All of those were well-received on Pulse and singles bias so... yeah. The album track rounding it out, I'll take a random guess that it'll be "Catch a Cold One."
4. What songs will make up the bottom 5? The two duets, maybe "In It" and "That's On Me" as they were a little more lowkey. I'll also throw "River of Time" down there perhaps.
5. For this album, Jake Owen collaborated with two artists, Kid Rock and Lele Pons. Which collab will bow out first? Kid Rock, but both will be low.
6. Which of the four singles from this album ("I Was Jack (You Were Diane)", "Down to the Honkytonk", "Homemade," "Made for You") will place highest? Lowest? I think "Jack and Diane" is the favored for #1 probably. "Made for You" at #4, with the other two sandwiched between.
7. Which album track would you personally like to see do best? "Ain't Here to Talk," "Damn," or "Mexico in Our Minds." All of those were amazing discoveries!
8. Any other thoughts/predictions? This album was fantastic. I had a tough time ranking this one. Really only wasn't a big fan of two songs, as one was a little sleepy and kinda just 'there' for me and the other was drug down by Kid Rock.

at me and .indulgecountry predicting a completely different outcome for “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)”. I’m sure this’ll end up making the top 5, but I do expect it to be one of the most polarizing songs of the rankdown as it will have both its share of fans and detractors.

Kicking things off, to probably nobody's surprise, is "Grass Is Always Greener," the first of two duets to leave us. This song saw literally everybody but one place this in their lower half. Four of those people correctly placed this at #14.
Two words: Kid Rock. The song was great until he came in and then it lost me completely and the only saving grace was the song's production.

In a back-to-back blow, "Señorita," the duet with Lele Pons, leaves us at #13, clearing out the collabs. This song has the largest standard deviation by far--no other standard deviation number in this rankdown got as high as 5, let alone into double digits. The decision was literally split down the middle--half of us had this in our Top 10, and half of us had this in our bottom 4 congrats to gardyfan on his perfect ranking! I will say in hindsight I might have under-ranked this one just a bit. I found the music to be just a tad on the boring side, hence the lower rank, but I do quite enjoy the vocal performances of both Jake and Lele here.

KID RACIST! I'm screaming!!
"Senorita" deserved better than this but I'm glad it at least out-lasted the other duet.

Up next at #12, we see the "River of Time" run out of water...and time in this competition. This loss is pretty painful for the ones who put this in their Top 5, including fearlessarrow who placed this song in his runner-up spot. Sorry to you! This song also had its fair share of bottom 5 rankings, including a few last place ranks, which was ultimately too much for this song to keep up with. The sentiment of this song is great, and the production is pure country loveliness, but the execution was just a bit off to me. The verses were great while the chorus ruins it for me. The topic of growing up and thinking it won't happen quickly is much better handled, imo, in songs like Kenny Chesney's "Don't Blink" and Carrie Underwood's "Little Girl Don't Grow Up Too Fast."

Now if Kid Rock wasn't in "The Grass Is Greener" I would've had it a little higher...
Idk why "River of Time" clicked so much with me but I love the overall sentiment and if it's one thing Jake Owen does really well (for me at least), it's the melody. He has killer melodies when he does, and "River of Time" did that for me. I almost considered putting it at #1 but there was one song that I couldn't justify putting it below.

Well, the rest of the competition won't have this song in it, as "In It" is the next song to leave, just missing the Top 10. This one saw a lot more Top 10 treatment, with all but four of us placing it there. However, the four #10 ranks and four bottom 3 ranks proved to be too much for this song. However, this did have enough fight in it to beat "River of Time" by 5 points!
I absolutely loved the slow country production on this song, and the lyrics I showcased are my favorites. Overall, I did think that there was better on the album so I ultimately let this settle in at #8.

The fact that a song as good as “River of Time” didn’t even manage to escape the bottom 3 is all kinds of wrong. Some of y’all need to check your ears because this didn’t even deserve bottom 5 let alone two last place rankings.
