Thrilled that Asking's "Vultures" made it over "The Violence"... "Vultures" is perfection but albeit a good song, "The Violence" is weak in comparison and lacks actual violence. Description misleading.

Yeah, I spent yesterday in a tired stupor over plowing through all those year ends and fruit rankdowns and I fear that I'm gonna get something so wrong here, but here goes 100-86:
100. Uh Oh: I think I'm more confused than Matthew but I have no idea what this song is about. Some sort of breakup anthem or something? The singing here made me cringe. Uh oh is right, Puddle...did you make a mess on this rankdown...why am I not surprised?
99. Elevate: Say what you will about Fall Out Boy and 30 Seconds to Mars, but this is not experimentation from Imagine Roach...this is a bad new trend. The weak lyrics and bad drop are the lowlights, but I think it's time to say goodbye to the Last Resort people...they gone.
98. One of Us: It's like they're trying really hard to be Rage Against the Machine without a clue as to how that band worked. The vocals annoyed me, but the reason this made my 100 was due to the horrid lyrics. In their attempts to speak for the African Americans, the Fever comes across as facepalm worthy. Can this fever break anytime soon?
97. Shut Up: Color me among the minority here, but she does have a pleasant voice. It's just that it's slathered in 50 layers of autotuned cheese. In some ways, it's an improvement on a similar song from a more established group.
96. Blame It on My Youth: Unlike Rowell, I have no problem with the nostalgia tinged lyrics. It's the production and autotuned lead voice that sinks this one in my eyes.
95. Get Up: Wait. Was this song THAT bad? The others mentioned so far, I get. But this one wasn't all that bad.
94. All Animal: I got confused between this group and the one that sang about pain. But then I realized the vocals were worse and this one had electronica and misused it. Now I'm clear which one I preferred.
93. Who Do You Trust?: This feels more like a bridge between Elevate and Born for Greatness. I dug the bounce from the guitars but the electronics and lyrics kinda sank this one. Oh, and Perfecto number one.
92. Right Left Wrong: What kind of made this song work for me was the insistence in moving forward. One could argue that the chorus could have been better (I'd disagree). Although I think the verses lack the heft needed for the chorus.
91. Broken: Yeah, this didn't catch my ear the way Crazy did. They may still be a poor man's Linkin Park, but worse remains.
All for one and none for all? Do You Need a Receipt? Everybody, everybody?
90. Made an America: The first half of the chorus kinda sorta clicked when he was singing it. But everything else about this poor man's Bulls on Parade didn't. And what's up with that title?
89. Apologize: A more melodically pleasing version of Blood Water barely beats out the bottom 10...first impressions do count.
88. The Dirt: Sorry, Doc. But those lyrics were fairly dumb. Then Machine Gun Kelly showed up. Not even some nice riffs could save this one...now I don't feel like watching the biopic on Netflix.
87. Brand New Numb: Had no idea what the song is about, but that line about a receipt just killed it for me...each and every time.
86. Legendary: Basically, this is Feel Invincible 3.0. But despite some decent guitars and vocals, the overuse of electronic effects put this closer to The Resistance. They may want to try something new.
Didn't have time to do the survey, but I would have picked both Imagine Roach songs (the one not based on a real life story), both Fever 333 songs, Uh Oh, Mad Hatter and Bullet Holes for the bottom 10.
The top 10: Both Ghost songs, SOS, A Grave Mistake, Last Day Under the Sun, Bella Donna, Black Holes, Fear Inoculum, and one song each from Badflower and Slipknot.
My first top 10 to leave will be my #8 which I'm low key surprised hasn't met its maker yet. It will and probably sooner than I want.
My last bottom 10 will probably be my #91 which might JUST make the top half.
My Number 1 will probably last until the 30s.
Drag the Lake might have made my top half...but just barely.

rowellfarm490 I completely agree with you regarding From Ashes To New, “Lost and Alone” is the only song I like from them. Everything else I’ve heard ranges from bad to awful. And no thanks to the “rap” and whiny vocals.

inconceivable that Deutschland never charted... I guess the Active format’s target demographic is exclusively English-only redneck hetero cis white guys "Yuve Yuve Yu" only charting after adding Matt Brandyberry to the song...certainly doesn't hurt this argument. I don't think I'm surprising most of you when I say that "Deutschland" would have been my #1. ("New Comedown" has never been a song I've really gotten into, but I'm sure it would have been high in my ranking here, too.)

I charted "Skeletons" a much more straightforward hard Rock song in the realms of DIAMANTE and Halestorm.

The artist finishing at #84 has never done this poorly before in a rock chart rankdown. This band was also in last year's Active rankdown.

That chorus sounded like Patrick Stump attempting to do some alt metal and the result wasn't exactly great

Breaking Down - I Prevail I have never liked anything from this band. This song was like taking some Slipknot vocals and dipping them into Poptart acid. The result was barely listenable for me.

Starting off the day right!
I don't think I've ever actually listened to I Prevail's cover of "Blank Space" but based on how it got tanked in the 2015 Active rankdown maybe it's a good idea that I don't listen to it. The Taylor Swift stan in me will probably combust from them ruining the song.

84. Degenerates - A Day to Remember I can't quite put my finger of why you guys hated this. It was very uptempo. Sounds like good 90's Poppunk. Sometimes.

Good riddance to "Back Foot" as well, it's terrible. That chorus... my goodness.
I don't like Dinosaur Pile-Up. Only thing I like from them is "Grim Valentine" which I love.

83. Back Foot - Dinosaur Pile-Up There is a good side of 90's music and a bad side. This was one of the worst retro 90's songs I heard in 2019. Let's keep on clearing my bottom tank.
