I doubt it. I can’t imagine the #100 song gets that many points. But not sure when the tracking week ended for AIWFCIY I only see it on YouTube and nowhere else, will it be enough to keep it in the top 100? no

In my mind I’m going to add 3 weeks to Circles #1 chart run. What bad timing for that song...or any song thats #1 in the weeks leading up to Christmas Thems the breaks.

25 Christmas songs dropping out this week. It's going to be chaos.

Early Predictions:I changed some more variables in my system, but since my current system tailors much more to my final predictions, do not be surprised if there ends up being many discrepancies here and the final predictions (and the actual chart too lol). As of right now, figuring out where Memories/HITR would place is the toughest because of special constraints, followed by The Box/Ballin' since I never tracked them before. Listened to 10,000 Hours again and I can't stand it anymore, Bieber's voice is just so anonymous and ordinary it's grating.

I’m amazed at the fact that Lizzo went on to score two number ones at Mainstream Top 40 radio from the same solo album/era.
A Black Female artist hasn’t accomplished that the entire 2010’s decade outside of Rihanna.
Overall, prior to Rihanna, who has done so several times since her debut in 2005 (‘Take A Bow/Disturbia; Only Girl In The World/S&M; Diamonds/Stay’ + as a featured act on multiple occasions), the last Black act to do so was Chris Brown in 2008. Beyonce/OutKast/Mariah Carey did so too between ‘03-‘05.
Hopefully the 2020’s continues to bring more genre/stylistic variety back to the top of Pop radio. It’s don really well in that context since 2018 at least.

I’ve already streamed Party Rock Anthem 5 times since last night. If I had a Hot 100 it would be re entering this week. Goodbye 2010’s, you were fun! Looking forward to many more hot 100 threads next year as we argue about useless things, call people flops, await people to release that won’t and have a grand time! I think PRA is the perfect song to represent the decade. It had an EDM drop, it was upbeat & meme-y, it had some rap, & despite what Billboard says I think it was bigger than Uptown Funk

I had NO idea “Memories” was doing so well. 😶 Do you think it has a chance to go number one, bar any high-profile releases over the next month? Could it still surpass the ‘relatively’ weak competition, or is “ROX..., The Box” etc. swooping in soon?

It’s doing well because of an iTunes sales discount. Without it, it would barely be in the top 5. The Box is climbing up higher and Roxanne will probably stay ahead of it.

So I finally actually looked into Tones & I after hearing Dance Monkey a bunch on the radio, and she has another song rising ATM called Never Seen the Rain and it's a bop and I can see that being another big follow up hit. Could she be a potentially big artist in the dance music scene for 2020s?

I much prefer Never seen the rain to Dance Monkey. The former reached the top ten here in Australia. I hope it does well in the states.

I still can’t believe how “Dance Monkey” has completely cannibalised the AUS charts these past 21 weeks. 💀 Is it really that ‘big’ there, consistently accumulating massive sales/streams each week or is it just one of those number one singles that’s spending so much time at the top because of the relatively weak climate and no grand competition to take it down? It’s the same case here in the U.K. I’m sorry, but the song in no way feels as big as “Umbrella” or, of course, “I Will Always Love You” did at their peaks. (It’s surpassed those songs as the longest running Female U.K number one singles with 10+ weeks each). 💀

May I ask what is a bullet? A Bullet is an indication that a song has sufficient growth over last week. It used to be illustrated on the chart as a slightly elongated circle around a song's chart number(and thus looked liked a bullet). All hot songs have traditionally had bullets, signifying that they will keep going up the chart and be active for some time - in the past, a visual aid for radio programmers and retail clerks. In recent times when a song can debut at #1, plummet to #17, stabilize and maybe go back up the chart within several weeks, the concept of a bullet is a little pointless, but they still use them on radio charts to determine future growth / potential.

^The exception for the bullet is that a song can actually not have gained overall and dropped significant in Hot 100 position from its previous, but as long as it has a component gainer award it can get a bullet for that week. That seems to happen most commonly for songs with the airplay gainer award.

The Box is insane, it grew by over 200k streams yesterday on Spotify. Never seen that kind of growth for a song on a Tuesday.

Closer (#145) being the highest re-entry on U.S. Spotify in the last day of the decade. Iconic song. Yay!

I had NO idea “Memories” was doing so well. 😶 Do you think it has a chance to go number one, bar any high-profile releases over the next month? Could it still surpass the ‘relatively’ weak competition, or is “ROX..., The Box” etc. swooping in soon? Considering Bieber is releasing next week, if Circles gets it this week Yummy’ll be the first number one of the decade in all likelihood. JB having the first #1 of the 2020s would be really cool because when I think about the charts in January 2010 the first song that comes to mind is Baby.

Fucking hell, I did not expect an album track song not completely fuelled by Tik Tok by an artist of the size of Roddy Ricch to be this big on streaming. Rooting for him to have 2 Top 10s this week, and eventually reaching 1 with The Box.

Ring in the New Year with a song that already went #1 several weeks ago. How exciting.
