Blossoms is a band I randomly discovered in an Apple Music playlist. The song was "Charlemagne" (which will be in "Indie" III), and I checked out more of their stuff, and I absolutely fell in love with this one. Just really nice UK indie pop. I really like their sound, and they're a band I think would do well in the US if they had stuff sent here. Solid band I'd recommend people to check out.

Hot take: I love this one more than "Run or Hide". I really love the instrumentation on this one. The instrumental after the bridge just gets me every time. One thing I loved about the radio edit of this song was that they made that part even more intense and enhanced the instruments and everything comes alive, and it sounds so good. Just a really great song.

Kaleidoscope Dream was one of my favorite albums of the whole 2010 decade. A super underrated album. Miguel is one of my favorite artists, and he's definitely my favorite in the R&B game. I love his voice and music, whether he's doing slower stuff, or more of his upbeat ones. I've always loved his falsetto on this one.

Lord Huron has catapulted into being one of my favorite bands of all-time. One thing I absolutely love about this is how closely related this is to Strange Trails' opener "Love Like Ghosts" melodically. The chorus of this song, and the bridge of "Love Like Ghosts" have the same exact melody, and it really brought it to life when I saw them live and they mash them up and I realized that it's all on purpose and meant to be the same kind of story (which Strange Trails is a concept album).

The fact that I had Miguel at 36 says a lot about the quality of this group of songs

"Arlandria" has stood as one of my all-time favorites from the Foo Fighters. Wasting Light is one of their best albums, and one of their few that I would say is great from front to back. One thing about them that I've always disliked, was I always feel like the overwhelming majority of their albums come with amazing singles, then completely forgettable album tracks. Wasting Light is one of their few albums that don't fall victim to that.

Language & Perspective was a really good debut. Just a solid indie rock record from front to back. Their stuff afterwards hasn't hit me as hard as anything off of that album, but they haven't put out a single bad song, and Bad Suns are still a solid band. I wish radio paid more attention to them. "Cardiac Arrest" did well for their debut, then radio just gave up – it also doesn't help their record label screwed up that era too with radio. "Salt" is probably my second favorite on the record behind "Dancing on Quicksand". Super catchy guitar on this one.

This was actually my introduction to Run the Jewels' music. I knew them from Until the Ribbon Breaks' "Revolution Indifference" which they're featured on, but I had never heard their music on their own before. This was playing in the end credits to an episode of Silicon Valley, and I really liked it. These guys are probably the best in the game to me, and it sucks how underrated they can be.

It seems to be uncommon to feel 2 is the least of their albums so far, but that's the boat I fall into. Still good though

The instrumental to this is so good. Just a super good electronic beat, creative, and Q-Tip is killer on this and fits perfectly.
