So do people really still believe he'll get that #1? Is it just because the charts are so weak? The Weeknd started with much better numbers and still had to perform on Colbert as well as do a huge sales push. Bieber is not going #1. R.Rich is coming at him like a Dark Horse. Not a "Yummy" fan at all. I'm fine with "The Box" becoming a hit once "Circles" lets go of #1.

The weeknd promoted the weaker single and made it go to #1. I think that’s an accomplishment. Bieber would need a lot more now to get yummy to #1

According to this I'd say Yummy would debut with about 25,000-27,000 points; it will need more physicals than Heartless got to reach #1 (and I'm pretty sure the estimation takes into account the physicals already anyways so....).

I think we'll probably be getting the lead single from Post's next album around the Summer. I think I read somewhere he's back in the studio already. Probably not an official single. Probably more like a Wow where it's a loosie tacked onto the album later

by the way my Nostradamus predictions are that Yummy will debut 25-30, SUGAR will debut 80-70, and Memories will fall like 4 spots

i love Post but he’s gotta take a break He doesn't have to do anything, lol. If the demand is there and his songs keep smashing, he has no reason to take a break.

5 weeks at #1, 13 weeks in the top 10, and 34 weeks on the hot 100. Lets see how close I get. I think 4 weeks at #1, 16 weeks in top ten, and 31 weeks overall 6 weeks at #1, 17 weeks in the top 10, 36 weeks total

Wrong thread. That happened on the 01/11 chart where the record has already been discussed. With a cute little tweet from Mariah herself even! Ain't nobody upset about it.

All I want this year is for Post to make a rock album. I don’t care what else happens as long as that does.

Oversaturation only matters to artists/labels when the songs stop performing well. As long as they keep performing well, no label in it's right mind will encourage the artist to stop or take a break. All those streams equate to money and that's the thing labels love the most, above the integrity and even the well-being of the artist. As long as the artist says they're ready to go, the label will always be there to offer support.
