I would love a sales breakdown of "Yummy". Out of those 71k, it's probably quite a disproportionate amount of vinyl/cassette singles (which included a digital copy, the main reason why "Yummy" relatively overperformed against most sales predictions).

I wish Justin wasn't lying when he said he wouldn't go on tour if didn't hit #1. He can save our ears from that mess of mediocrity.

I’m not really a rap fan, but for some reason I’m super excited about this. Having a new artist with a non-single hit number 1 so fast is exciting. Yummy at number 2 is expected and satisfying. I’m shocked by 10,000 Hours though, I didn’t see that jump coming. Hopefully Dance Monkey will climb into the Top 5 in the next month

Have we determined what MRC Data is, by the way? I noticed Billboard mentioning it alot in their articles.

I didn’t see the article yet don’t tell me it’s true Edit: thank god its not true. Hey at least roddy has 2 other hits in the top 40 right now to further make his year

Chart predictions became much harder to do in 2018 when they created this paid vs. free stuff, now chart predictors we'll have to estimate three tiers for YouTube: paid, free and UGC.
Ugh...

So Hot 100 now weighs YouTube streams as much as only programmed (Pandora) streams? That's a notable down-weight, however their wording was pretty confusing.

So YouTube is having their way. Couldn't agree more about non-song UGC videos not being counted.

True. They don't disclose the distribuition of those two. I doubt paid represents much, but it carry significantly more weight.

However, YouTube Music and Paid YouTube will be weighed as paid on-demand. That's kinda absurd that a paid YT stream didn't count the same as a Spotify/Apple Music stream. June 29, 2018 - January 11, 2020: 2,250 YouTube streams = 1 point January 18, 2020: 1,500 paid YouTube streams or 2,250 free YouTube streams or 3,000 UGC YouTube streams = 1 point

The 'free YouTube streams' are official music videos tagged with the song, and 'UGC streams' are Harlem Shake-esque videos that have the song in the background?

And it looks like (at least my interpretation of the text was...) they are not going to count UGC that doesn't have the song playing for a extended time of the video.
