All these think pieces lol. The average person doesnβt care about Bieber & Selenaβs relationship in 2020 nor is interested in actively keeping track. If the song was infectious itβd be gaining more traction regardless of how βimmatureβ the lyrics are. Itβs kind of a weak comeback choice and maybe his star power has just faded in the years of his break. Thatβs all there is to the performance so far. Maybe not the average person. But the song's immaturity turns off older listeners and followers (think about how I Don't Care which has more mature lyrics did better). And I do think that the Selena and Justin drama is still a known thing, and I think younger audiences are siding with Selena after she had the ability to respond to Justin's past singles about her. So yes, I am trying to figure out why Justin is doing worse than normal. Excuse me for trying to draw conclusions on how this is possible, but I do think the fact that his looks, touch with public, and past relationships have definitely hindered his appeal to the public. What's Justin's normal as of late, though? In the past few years, his hits have been as a featured artist, and even then some have been hits but not huge. Considering that and how lead singles from Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc have done the past few years, I was never expecting a new Bieber song to be huge. |

He also has 13/16 of his songs in the top 50 and the 30 second skit that would normally be in the 1000s for any other album is at #129. Explains how his album is still doing over 70k a month later |

AM numbers might also be super low behind The Box but good for him of course!
Out West had only 16M streams according to HDD and it did very well on AM position-wise. It had 7M from Spotify so AM numbers were less than 9M/weekly.

You do realize having post as a feature doesn't make a song a hit right? Actually so far it's been the opposite, none of the songs he's featured on have become big hits (although to be fair it's a pretty small sample size, he hardly does any features to begin with) Yea like the dj khaled song βcelebrateβ with him and travis on it. Take what you want is more popular i guess because it isnβt a post feature |

It's probably a reference to either a weapon or the compartment where he stores his weapon and stacks of money. I showed up thinking I was about to get something filthy and left with a trap song. But, it is a bangin' ass trap song and it's been a really long time since I've really cared about any modern trap, so I was nonetheless pleased. |

With Ballin' and The Box gearing up to be big Top 10 hits, I can see High Fashion being a residual hit because of those two, especially if they push it in the summer.

Before that he says βI just hit a lick with the boxβ - Referring to a gun in this case. So yeah, heβs referring to a gun, with the βhad to put the stick in a boxβ just being wordplay around the literal meaning of box and the slang word it refers to in the title |
