needy was such the missed single opportunity from Ariana's Grammy-nominated masterpiece thank u next which she blessed the world with in February 2019. Its presence was felt regardless as it crashed the Hot 100 at #14 upon impact! Low key shocked it missed the top-10 here because LOLARIANAWINS is real!

Glad He's Gone was released in May 2019 as the lead single from Tove Lo's fourth album Sunshine Kitty and such a low-key bop that it ended up being pretty much a worldwide flop; the highest peak I could find for it was #19 in New Zealand. However, the music video earned a 2020 Grammy nomination for Best MV and if you haven't seen it, I recommend you watch it while waiting for the next reveal because it really was one of the best of 2019 IMO!

Make It Better, featuring the legendary Smokey Robinson, was released in April 2019 as the second single from Anderson .Paak's fourth album Ventura. His second entry on Adult R&B, it became his biggest hit to date and I'm certain contributed to his winning the 2020 Grammy for Best R&B Album. I contemplated using a few different songs from the album in this RD but this is just one of those perfectly crafted R&B songs that we don't get as much of in the mainstream these days.
