This rarely happens nowadays but it BBR has decided to not push "Momma's House" to #1 and instead has sent "Thinkin' 'Bout You" (feat. MacKenzie Porter) to country radio today. It was looking like just a couple weeks ago they had #1 hopes in mind but that does it for "Momma's House." This now paves the way for "Somebody Like That" by Tenille Arts to take #1 on at least Mediabase by April 25th; then Big Machine will push "How They Remember You" by Rascal Flatts. Jake Owen's "Made for You" has soared to the top 5 as well, but most of that is natural -- it's a huge radio hit for Jake. I like this song, but "Thinking Bout You" is a hit waiting to happen so I am glad they aren't delaying it and letting this song go. Also Tenille Arts getting a #1 on Mediabase even has me so fucking excited. So thank you BBR.

Best case scenario. I can't stand "Momma's House" so it fizzling out to instead send "Thinking 'Bout You" to radio earlier. TBY is the one single of Dustin's I've enjoyed since... (had to look it up) "Mind Reader" in 2015.

I love that they're just dropping promotion for "Momma's House" and not giving it one last big push to #1 like every song does at country radio that makes it into the top 10 it seems, that's so refreshing. It's a shame they didn't just pull the plug earlier and get "Thinking 'Bout You" out there a couple months ago instead since they already prolonged the chart run of MH longer than it needed to go, but I'm glad they're making the move now and not wasting their resources on a #1 push. I'm making an early bet that TBY will be his biggest hit since "Small Town Boy," honestly.

I mean I’m here for them throwing in the towel; especially if it means it increases Tenielle’s chances at #1, but what I don’t understand is why they waited till now. I mean they had a pretty much guaranteed #1 if they pushed next week, and they’ve already spent so long promoting this, why not wait another week to get your reward for promoting this so long. Very confusing.

Agree with .indulgecountry . While I don't mind this song, good move for dropping this without the push for #1. I know it's unlikely to go back, but I miss those days when the chart runs were much shorter and many songs left the chart without waiting for the push for #1.

God! This song. It's like a vampire that won't die. Thankfully someone is putting a stake in its long overdue heart.

Wait, can someone spell this out for me: Gabby Barrett is going to get 3 weeks at #1 AND Tenille is going to get a #1, even if it's just MB?
Thank you BBR!
