The rodeo remix debuted on Spotify at #200, literally the lowest position that Spotify charts tracks. This song got less streams than Yes Indeed by Lil baby. Might be a problem for LNX I was told it was gonna be a "huge deal."

While i wont say Lil Nas X's career is automatically over, this is a concern
Personally, i think he should put out a album in the summer and focus on those singles. Rodeo is so old now it wont become a hit

To be fair that is a remix to a song that already had its steam like 6 months ago. To call it a 'concern' because it didn't automatically take off is ridiculous for any artist.
However, Lil Nas in general may have likely just been a 2019 thing. I don't get why his label didn't bother keeping his name out there once Panini peaked. It's especially vital for someone perceived as a one-hit wonder to many already to not just go off the radar before the first full year of their career.
He should've been atleast doing features and dropping throwaways in the past few months.

Sorry for the double post, but mark my words, Post will be the Katy Perry of the 2020s. -katy started mid 2000s and dominated early 2010s, I see post doing that -before Katy became lame, I remember she was always someone who people loved the music, but didn't care too much about the person, I think that matches post malone as well My comparison has nothing to do with musicality, more like popularity levels People really care about Post though, he has an addictive personality and is a pretty unique figure.... he isn't just defined by his music

Lmao @ the hand wringing over the Rodeo remix "underperforming". It's a f**king Nas remix, do y'all earnestly think people are out here getting hyped over Nas in 2020? He wasn't even a commercial juggernaut when he was popular. It was put together for the spectacle of Lil Nas and Big Nas performing together at the Grammys and that's it.

And Post is a streaming giant, Katy is not.

People are still holding onto the possibility of Lil Nas X being a β2020βs Forceβ?
LMAO.
Anyway...
Iβm curious to know how Gagaβs upcoming era will perform now that thereβs no βmovie hypeβ and if Maloneβs next album will be an underperformance (most likely not).

Nas was never a βcommercial juggernautβ. He was always moreso about artistry and musicianship hence his widespread acclaim from critics and Hip-Hop purists alike. A large majority of his (solo) singles were not βradio-ready/friendlyβ at all. KING! ππΏ Itβs interesting that his highest peaking Hot 100 songs are as a featured artist on a Missy Elliot and Jennifer Lopez track however. π

??? Why you using Yes Indeed as an example of a song with little streams? it's #199 on spotify, at first i was confused too when i read that lol Lol sorry. I saw Yes Indeed right above it on Spotify and thought it was interesting since that song is pretty old but still outperforming the Rodeo remix on its first day.

She still does alright worldwide but her numbers in the US aren't great, especially compared to Post.

I'm curious to see how Lady Gaga fares in 2020. Joanne underperformed and ARTPOP has not aged well but with A Star is Born and Shallow renewing interest in her, it'd be cool if she got another hit.

If Gaga goes back to electro-pop trash, and if Post continues with Circles trash, both of their careers will be featured as cameos on The Walking Dead.

Also, Dark Horse was the biggest streaming hit in the US 5 years ago, and she scored 2 #1s on that chart, just like Posty. spoons was comparing early 2010s Katy to Post Malone, not 2019 Katy Perry.

Well if this '____isoverparty' is like all of the other so called 'over' parties we might as well throw confetti and celebrate bc I literally have yet to see a Twitter cancellation cancel or even postpone anybody. Hell Billie got 'canceled' a few months ago for not knowing who Van Halen was and we see how that turned out. It's always the dumbest s**t that people get mad about. And for what? Girls like titties too, dang. I mean, the James Gunn one worked for a bit, but nobody cares anymore because it was really stupid.

His grammy performance was actually amazing to me like that transition from otr to rodeo i was confused but still energetic to see what was gonna happen. He has stage presence but idk bout his career in the future sadly

Whoever is managing Lizzo is def smart. I think they dealt with her random success well and were able to stir up her name just enough that there was always some kind of controversy (basketball attire, payola, desperate). Lizzo and Billie will def have longevity in the 2020s.

Kesha's new song, Tonight, sounds exactly like a song Ariana Grande would make. It'd fit perfectly on the thank u, next album.

Lil Nas X is fine, Rodeo Remix not pulling numbers is no surprise, considering the song is half a year old, nobody cares for Nas and it's barely any different from the original He will return sometime this year and have his new single debut in the Top 10
I don't know about Gaga, could go either way for her, definitely depends on her material
Post is fine, his songs are always different which is why people aren't sick of him

They are better fits in those styles and they should evolve with it....but to try to fit in with the current stuff which is already saturated...yukkkkk. When I think of Bieber ditching "Purpose album" for crap like "crummy" and "get me" β¦.I would say boring stuff.....or NEXT PLEASE
