Holy shit!!!! I knew "Bible And A .44" would be a strong competitor, but I was secretly hoping it would leave next... I mentioned in the Ashley McBryde rankdown thread that this is an amazing song, but I feel like Ashley's earthy style fits the song a little better than Trisha's. Still, Trisha's is really good! But I'd give it probably an 8/10, while the three remaining songs are all among my favorites of her entire career

#3 - Tell Me Something I Don't KnowWriters: Gordie Sampson, Lucie Silvas, Troy Verges Position in its rankdown: 4/14 Total Points: 96 bboat11 - 1 taylor - 1 ccarter1023 - 8 castleoblivion26 - 8 .indulgecountry - 11 tim - 12 Troublemaker - 23 someguy - 32 "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" finishes one point higher than "Bible And A .44", which was enough to clinch third place. They swapped places from the album rankdown, where this was #4 and "Bible" was #3. I was surprised at how well it did here. It came very close to coming in second. A pair of #1s are lost here, from bboat11 and taylor, as well as a pair of #8s from ccarter1023 and castleoblivion26. Everyone had it in their top half.

"Tell Me Something I Don't Know" is one of the best songs of all time, period. The harmonies between Trisha and Kelly are crisp and perfect, the way they both belt this song out fills me with so much admiration for their talent. To top it all off, the melody is a little bit quirky, but in just the right way to make the song ultra-memorable and immediately separates it from her career filled with power ballads. I would have loved to see it in the top 2, but I wasn't expecting it to do even close to this well, so I am on cloud nine with this top 3 finish

#2 - The MatadorWriter: Gretchen Peters Position in its rankdown: 1/14 Total Points: 94 Troublemaker - 2 bboat11 - 2 castleoblivion26 - 2 taylor - 4 someguy - 10 ccarter1023 - 13 tim - 20 .indulgecountry - 41 "The Matador", the surprise winner from the Every Girl rankdown, is our runner up here. It finished with 94 points, just two ahead of "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" and three ahead of "Bible And A .44". It was the only album track to win an album rankdown in the Trisha series, so it is only fitting that it did so well here also. After taylor's rank dropped "Nothin' 'Bout Memphis", it actually took over the #1 spot here for a little bit, but ended up having to settle for #2. No one loses a #1, but bboat11, Troublemaker and castleoblivion26 all lose their #2.

#1 - She Can't Save HimWriters: Liz Hengber, Bob Regan Position in its rankdown: 3/52 Total Points: 76 castleoblivion26 - 1 bboat11 - 3 tim - 5 someguy - 7 .indulgecountry - 8 ccarter1023 - 10 Troublemaker - 12 taylor - 30 With "The Matador" out at #2, this means that "She Can't Save Him" is our winner! In the end, it wasn't even all that close. Everyone but taylor had it in their top 12, with castleoblivion26 putting it at #1. I probably should have, since it did so well in the extras rankdown, but I actually didn't really expect this one to come out on top. It's a great song and a fitting winner, though.

And that concludes the Trisha Yearwood album series! Thanks for everyone who has participated over the last year and a half. It has been a lot of fun revisiting Trisha's catalogue, and it serves as another reminder why she's my second favourite artist of all time. Hopefully we get some new music soon!

Tbh I expected this to come down to "The Matador" vs. "She Can't Save Him" from the moment this rankdown launched, so I'm not at all surprised by the way this top 5 went down. "The Matador" is hands down one of the best-written songs I have ever heard. I actually still haven't stopped getting goosebumps when I listen to it. It is admittedly not a song that lends itself to being listened to on repeat, so I'm not surprised to see it miss out on the victory. I thought it might be a bit of a dark horse long shot after how it performed before, but I'm kinda glad it stepped aside and let a new song win that has never won before! Reba's Duets album is literally the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to the rankdown world, lmao. This song, "When You Love Someone Like That", "Because of You", and especially "Sleeping With The Telephone" have absolutely dominated almost every rankdown they have ever been in. "She Can't Save Him" is not quite the power contender that the Faith/LeAnn duets are (it barely made the top 20 in Reba's album tracks rd while both of those were in the top 5), but I still figured it would do VERY well in Trisha's album tracks rd!! (No shade to Trisha because the top half of this Rankdown was VERY strong, but Reba's 2000s albums are a bit more competitive imo, lol) So since "She Can't Save Him" hasn't really had many opportunities to shine without also being in the shadow of "Telephone"/"When You Love", I am happy to see it finally receive some acknowledgment!!!! Nice job Trisha/Reba!!! Thanks for hosting this series someguy !

“Tell Me Something” is among my favorite songs of all time period. There’s something so nostalgic about the production and vocal delivery, despite this song practically being brand-new, lol. Thinking I might just make it Trisha’s first appearance in my personal chart soon!!!

Happy with this winner!
I like "The Matador" but it is far from being even remotely close to one of her best album cuts imo and majorly overstayed. The other three Every Girl cuts that made the top 10 were all much stronger imo, as is the Reba duet, so I'm glad that pulled off the win. Very happy my #1 ("Pistol") made it to the top 10, too.
