Once again, we see an album eliminated in the next reveal: Everybody Knows, Real Live Woman, Jasper County and Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love all have just one song left. Which one will miss the top 10 completely?

Catching up. I love "Who Invented the Wheel." Not many singers in country could pull off that melody.

#11 - I Want To Live AgainWriters: Tom Shapiro, George Teren Position in its rankdown: 4/10 Total Points: 189 ccarter1023 - 7 .indulgecountry - 14 tim - 17 castleoblivion26 - 18 someguy - 25 taylor - 33 bboat11 - 33 Troublemaker - 42 Unfortunately for its fans, "I Want To Live Again" is the unlucky song to miss the top 10 and come in at #11 and, with that, Everybody Knows is the latest album to be eliminated from the rankdown. This fun uptempo would have made a great single, and I could definitely have seen it be a big hit in the mid-90s for Trisha. ccarter1023's #7 was "I Want To Live Again"'s highest rank, while three additional people had it in their top 20.

#18 - Try Me AgainWriters: Andrew Gold, Linda Ronstadt Position in its rankdown: 3/12 Total Points: 226 ccarter1023 - 1 .indulgecountry - 12 castleoblivion26 - 19 tim - 22 Troublemaker - 31 bboat11 - 44 someguy - 45 taylor - 52 Finishing one point ahead of "Love Alone" is "Try Me Again", which comes in at #18. The Real Live Woman track was the highest finishing album track in its original rankdown but, like so many top-finishing album tracks here, it exits before two of the songs that it previously beat, "Sad Eyes" and "Come Back When It Ain't Raining". The Linda Ronstadt cover was ccarter1023 's #1 song here.

Every Girl is a strong album, but it 100% did not need to make up half of the top 10.

#9 - Come Back When It Ain't RainingWriters: Matraca Berg, Harlan Howard Position in its rankdown: 6/12 Total Points: 174 ccarter1023 - 3 castleoblivion26 - 11 taylor - 14 .indulgecountry - 15 someguy - 18 Troublemaker - 22 tim - 39 bboat11 - 52 Coming in at #9 is "Come Back When It Ain't Raining". This is another example of a song doing much better here than in its own album rankdown. It was 6th in the Real Live Woman rankdown, which meant it was the 4th highest placing album track. Here though, it was the best performing cut from the album, which means that the Real Live Woman album has now been eliminated. ccarter1023's #3 was its lone top 10 placement, but it received an additional four top 20 placements, which allowed it to crack our top 10.

#8 - You Can't Trust The WeathermanWriters: Ashley Gorley, Waune Kirby, Bryan Simpson Position in its rankdown: 8/52 Total Points: 169 someguy - 2 taylor - 3 .indulgecountry - 7 tim - 18 bboat11 - 20 ccarter1023 - 22 castleoblivion26 - 33 Troublemaker - 64 We return to the extras rankdown and, more specifically, the Prizefighter album, for our #8 song, "You Can't Trust The Weatherman". It actually finished in the same place in both this rankdown and the extras rankdown. Three top 10s are lost, including my #2, taylor's #3 and .indulgecountry's #7. On the other side of things, Troublemaker has now cleared out his bottom 10 with this loss. I get why Trisha wanted to release "I Remember You" for sentimental reasons (and, let's face it, nothing she released at that point was going to become a big hit), but I wish this had been the second single from the album.

#7 - PistolWriters: Al Anderson, Leslie Satcher Position in its rankdown: 4/11 Total Points: 160 .indulgecountry - 1 ccarter1023 - 6 castleoblivion26 - 14 Troublemaker - 15 bboat11 - 19 tim - 21 someguy - 24 taylor - 60 We say goodbye to the Jasper County album and, unfortunately, .indulgecountry's #1 as "Pistol" leaves us at #7. This is another one that I think really should have been a single from its parent album. It was the second highest album track in its own rankdown, but was the highest placing song from the album here. It helps that 5 of its 6 lowest rankers from the album rankdown didn't participate here, which allowed it to make a significant run at the top 5 here. In addition to .indulgecountry's #1, it also received a top 10 placement from ccarter1023. On the other hand, taylor's #60 exits here.

"When Lonely Calls" is just such a powerful vocal! I love her delivery of this one so much "Come Back When It Ain't Raining" was the weak link of this top 10 for me, although I do still like it quite a bit! "You Can't Trust The Weatherman" is a fun bop, which is something that Trisha could literally never go wrong by having more of in her ballad-heavy catalog. This is a fun listen that is very unique in her catalog, almost akin to how something like "When God-Fearin' Women Get The Blues" fits into Martina's catalog.

#6 - Met Him In A Motel RoomPosition in its rankdown: 7/52 Total Points: 148 tim - 4 taylor - 7 Troublemaker - 10 bboat11 - 13 .indulgecountry - 18 ccarter1023 - 23 someguy - 29 castleoblivion26 - 44 “Met Him In A Motel Room” is our final song to miss the top 5, coming in at #6. It finishes one spot higher here than it did in the extras rankdown. With this loss, the Prizefighter album is now gone, however one more song remains from the extras rankdown. Three top 10s are lost - tim's #4, taylor's #7 and Troublemaker's #10. All but one person had it in their top 30.

"Pistol" is one that I wasn't a huge fan of when I was a kid, similar to "Who Invented The Wheel". Although now I'm honestly not sure why, because the melody is not even slightly grating in the way that "Wheel" is. This is just plain a fun uptempo bop, with delightful country instrumentation that would have fit right into the 2005/2006 country music landscape.

This and "Gimme The Good Stuff" were both really big missed opportunities from Jasper County. I really like "Trying To Love You", but it was a terrible choice to follow "Georgia Rain", and really zapped the momentum from the album.

"Met Him In A Motel Room" is another lyrical juggernaut!!! Just like "Your Husband's Cheating On Us", I was captivated from start to finish and hung on every word. She really was on an artistic high with the new material from Prizefighter!!

This top 5 is insanely strong. Which is to be expected, because album tracks rankdowns always have such stiff competition up top "Bible And A .44", "The Matador", and "She Can't Save Him" were ones I expected to make it this high all along, but it is a very pleasant surprise seeing "Memphis" make it in despite taylor 's questionable taste. But the best surprise of all is seeing "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" sticking around!!!!!!!! I've expected it to be tanked out early since we got to about the top 30, because I remember feeling like it was underrated after its performance in the Every Girl rankdown.... Here's my prediction: 5. Nothin' 'Bout Memphis 4. Tell Me Something I Don't Know 3. Bible And A .44 2. She Can't Save Him 1. The Matador

#5 - Nothin' 'Bout MemphisWriters: Jessi Alexander, Tommy Lee James Position in its rankdown: 2/13 Total Points: 129 someguy - 1 Troublemaker - 2 tim - 2 .indulgecountry - 3 castleoblivion26 - 4 bboat11 - 6 ccarter1023 - 41 taylor - 70 We kick off the top 5 with "Nothin' 'Bout Memphis", the final remaining song from Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love. It received 6 top 10 ranks, including my #1, two #2s, a #3 and a #4. It was a very strong competitor to win the whole thing, but two lower rankings (including taylor's #70), held it back.

#4 - Bible And A .44Writers: Terri Jo Box, Ashley McBryde, Patrick Savage Position in its rankdown: 3/14 Total Points: 97 Troublemaker - 4 tim - 6 taylor - 8 castleoblivion26 - 7 someguy - 12 ccarter1023 - 12 .indulgecountry - 19 bboat11 - 29 "Bible And A .44", from Every Girl, leaves us at #4. This one put up a really strong fight here, and came very close to finishing at #2. It received four top 10 ranks, including Troublemaker's #4. It received three additional top 20 placements, including a pair of #12s. It was always near the top of the pack, and just barely missed out on finishing higher.
