Am I the only one that feels like even thou he has had 3 #1’s in a row that he just an afterthought? I don’t mean that in a bad way it just seems that he isn’t very popular.

Hoping this one is MUCH better than "Every Little Thing."

I think Russell gets overhated here. His music is very catchy and harmless to my ears.

Nothing we haven't heard a million times... generic beat, melody, and instrumentation. I wasn't expecting much from this and that's exactly what he delivered. Not much.

What a surprise, Russell "Vanilla" Dickerson is back at it again with another bland, generic, and forgettable song.

I was looking forward to this being better than ELT, but then he goes and does this. While this was better than ELT in some regards, it's definitely nothing I wanna hear again. Sounds like just another vanilla, faceless song from another vanilla, faceless man that'll go to #1 anyways.

I mean this is better than any other single he's released to this point. I do wonder if he's allergic to using real drums

Not the song I was expecting with that title....and I'm a fan. This is such an ear-worm, windows down, singing to your girl type song. Is it going to win any awards, no. But, not every song will. This is a perfectly good single. Homeboy is obviously very in love.

This is a perfectly good single. Homeboy is obviously very in love. This is exactly how I feel. Sometimes I just want to sing and have fun. Sometimes I just want something catchy when I'm cleaning the house or having a drink or two. I love music that resonates with me emotionally but I can't listen to it all the time and generally don't like listening to it in the company of others. This has its lane and its purpose and I'm here for it.

Not sure when Russell Dickerson became Pulse’s most hated artist lol But I really like this one, and think it’s slightly unique with the twist it spins. Not sure if it’s original enough to become a massive hit, but seems like a song that will crush callout scores.

Not sure when Russell Dickerson became Pulse’s most hated artist lol It had to be with Every Little Thing because I remember people really liking Blue Tacoma. The bandwagon/lynch mobs happen fast!

I can't speak for justin5545 or taylor but Russell Dickerson has always been one of my most hated artists. Joking aside, I think "Every Little Thing" did sour some people on Russell (and rightfully so) but his whole first album was full of similar trendy modern dreck, so I never understood why the opinion of him here seemed overly positive. I guess "Yours" and "Blue Tacoma" connected with posters on here, but "Every Little Thing" clearly didn't, and then coming out with something completely uninspired and generic like "Love You Like I Used To" isn't really something that is going to restore lost faith in him. Russell and his music just embodies everything wrong with modern country IMO and until he comes out with stronger material, I can see Pulse's opinion of him becoming more and more negative going forward.

I have this theory where it's okay to have this disparity between songs that you like and songs that you think are amazing and groundbreaking.
This song is a prime example of this. Probably gonna get hated on for this but I like it. It's catchy and I like the little twist the hook provides. Plus the instrumentation isn't offensive and from what I heard is actually all real instruments (hard to come by these days).
However, is this song great? No.
Does it move the needle in terms of the evolution of music or even this artist? I'm going to go with no.
But that's okay. Music is amazing because we all find something we like. I enjoy this but in no way does that mean I am defending how great this song is because it is generic and somewhat bland, but it's catchy as hell and far from some of that bad music out there.

You "hate" Russell BUT according to your profile picture you think Michael Ray rocks ? You'll need to clarify that statement for your opinion to be trusted. The twist in this song is clever, the production is tasteful and country. I see this being his biggest song yet.

Song is selling pretty well on iTunes for a lesser known artist new single. If (or more like when) this gets used on The Bachelor it could really explode.

This is fantastic. Has the same great windows down carefree breezy feel that I loved so much about "Blue Tacoma." His last single was a step down from the first two and had a pretty grating vocal arrangement, but I'm back on board with this one. He's 3/4 in the singles department for me so far in his career, so not a bad batting average among the new males. He's got a pretty solid voice and his songs are enjoyable melodically, so I can see this continuing his pattern of getting hits with everything he releases. Can't wait to crank this up on the radio.

I was a week late getting to it but since I first listened to it last night, I've already played it close to a dozen times and have had it stuck in my head.

Third most added song of the week with 36 adds. About what I expected and I imagine this will probably go to #1 like his previous singles, which is fine by me as I actually kind of like this song a lot.

What a fantastic video! I really love where they went with the concept of showing how the man wasn't tempted to cheat because he still loves his wife and kids at home, instead of it just being another generic video of a couple doing lovey-dovey things together. I also felt like I used to think Russell Dickerson looked a little 'off' for lack of better wording, but man, he was serving me sex appeal that whole video. I loved his first two hits (especially "Blue Tacoma" which is one of the better windows down kinda jams for country radio over the past couple years imo), but this song completely blows those two out of the water. I've had this one stuck in my head constantly from the first time I heard it and it just gets better and better. If ELT could hit #1 for him, then this one damn sure better continue his streak. It had an impressive debut on the Hot Country Songs chart upon release (top 40 there), and seems to be off to a solid start at country radio as well.

Yeah this song is at a pretty good pace and I imagine it should keep his streak of #1s alive as this song enters the Mediabase Top 50 tonight at #49 with a bullet of 95 and he actually has the third highest bullet of the songs below the Top 30 with only Matt Stell and Jon Pardi with higher bullets.
Also great music video btw, as I think Russell Dickerson is not a bad looking dude and I tend to like his vocals.

Every Little Thing was so bad it really turned me off from him, after loving Blue Tacoma.
I don’t really love this one but I agree that was a good video. Maybe it’ll grow on me during its marathon chart run.

Top 40 on Mediabase! This is becoming my favorite single of his! I hope this becomes his 4th #1 in a row! I played this for my now fiancé before I proposed.

“Home Sweet” is actually pretty good, minus the beat, which is awful. It’s definitely one of his better songs, though. The only other thing I really enjoy from him is “Float”
