You'd think with such a fragile top 10 it would have more movement

It's nice to get the Hot 100 chart for the week early for a change. I mean it's a day late lol I know. Sometimes, even when the chart is delayed by a day, it still comes late on the following day.

You'd think with such a fragile top 10 it would have more movement There's a clear lack of contenders. The last few album bombs have been underwhelming in comparison to the ones from the last couple years (and Biebz is likely another underwhelming one). At least "Life is Good" and "Don't Start Now" are moving in the right direction... It doesn't help that old tracks like "Circles" and "Memories" aren't even close to dropping from the top 5 yet. And someone really is a having a sad boy spring and keeping "Someone You Loved" alive.

There are a lot of #sadboysalways considering that WYL was not only a #sadboyspring song but a #sadboywinter song and a #sadboyautumn song before that.

So happy for Dua Lipa with "Don't Start Now" at #6 - the song isn't dying anytime soon, so she's definitely coming to outpeak "New Rules" ๐ And here's to me hoping "Physical" didn't suffer such a hard blow - we'll see.
Otherwise, this top 10 is pretty bleak. Can "10,000 Hours", "Someone You Loved", and "Memories" just die already? And why isn't "Life Is Good" budging at all? I really don't get the hype for this song, especially since the beat transition is so awkward and sudden, and the first half with Drake is much superior, anyway - "SICKO MODE", this is not.
(also, I know "Circles" has also overstayed its welcome for a fair bit, but, as R Dub commented on the article about its longevity on page 14, "It's a song I still turn up and vibe to every time it comes on, like it's only my third or fourth listen,"... I can't get enough of it, and I'm thinking I'm not alone.". I totally relate to that, and it's the same feeling I get with songs like "Blinding Lights" and "Don't Start Now". Just my opinion, of course, especially since "Circles" is much superior to the three aforementioned radio ballad fillers)

If Life Is Good had Drake's beat the entire way through the song it would be in my top 10 for the year.

Radio really passed up the opportunity to let SYL, Circles, Memories, and 10k Hours die and keep the iconic ballad Lose You to Love Me.

Circles has 9 weeks to go until the longest stay in top ten accolade. It will do it easily if radio doesn't somehow suddenly drop it.

"Just outside the Hot 100's top 10, Bieber's "Intentions," featuring Quavo, debuts at No. 11, marking the chart's highest debut on the Feb. 22-dated chart. It opens at No. 3 on Streaming Songs (22.1 million) and No. 4 on Digital Song Sales (14,000), while drawing 15.9 million in radio reach. It arrives at No. 1 on the multi-metric Hot R&B Songs chart, where Bieber earns his third No. 1 and second in a lead role, following "Yummy," which "Intentions" dethrones after a four-week reign."
How is this song not in the top 5? F... it's not even top 10. I hate this Hot 100 formula so much...

If it had opened at #3 but with 50M streams it would be a different story. Meanwhile #4 on the Digital chart doesn't really mean much anymore. It's like trying to make the argument that the #1 song on cassette or physical singles should be top 10 on the Hot 100. (And it's likely reaching a new peak next week anyways).

I really don't get what everyone's obsession is with dunking on the radio. People listen to it. It should influence the chart. I might agree with a slight downgrade but nothing on the level of putting Intentions into the top 5 would be remotely reflective of how big songs actually are.

Ok I admit that top 5 was an exaggeration, but it's certainly bigger than EIW, 10k Hours, Someone You Loved and Memories.

Intentions will definitely rise in the top ten next week. I don't mind that song tbh. It's easily one of the better tracks from his recent album.

Like on the Billboard 200, Louis Tomlinson drops out of the Artist 100.

Joji is now the Japanese artist with the most Hot 100 entries with 3, surpassing Yoko Ono and Sakamoto Kyu, who had 2 each.
