I find it funny that the Top 3 songs on the Hot 100 are also some of the best songs on the Hot 100, alongside P2, After Hours, More Hearts than Mine, Break My Heart, and Ballin'. The quality of the Top 20 is nestled mostly in the Top 3.

I've seen a ton of people rank this song highly and understandably so. It's a very well-written song about depression and one that's actually gotten to be successful despite the subject matter, and that is a great thing. But to me, it's akin to Habits by Tove Lo: it's an incredibly well-written song about a tough subject matter and I appreciate it getting this much success...but musically and sonically I don't really find myself coming back to it often. And I don't think it's the bleakness of the lyrics either because Billie has made songs that were dark but I came back to time and time again (ocean eyes, when the party's over). But as is, I respect it more than I actually like it but it's still  a good song.

7. Blueberry Faygo
I'm probably being a bit to generous to this song as the Ran$om comparisons are inevitable: a summery pop rap song that's coasting more on production and a hook that take up more than half of the song. But as someone who got the hype but never really liked Ran$om, this is a lot better. The production is great and that hook is one of the best to go popular this year. It's a shame the verses are so short and throwaway because if there was a bit more thought, I would like this a bit more. Again, I feel maybe I'm going a bit too light on this song - if this were a better chart week or month, I'd probably rank this lower, but considering how starved of quality the charts are, I'll take this.

So I have a sister who's a dancer and who works out a lot. And for her playlist, she's routinely played this song along with other songs from Changes. And I am so sick of the line: "Picture perfect, you don't need to filter", it's not funny. I think I might snap.

This might've been placed in the Mediocre tier if not for the fact it rose so fast and could become a top 10 hit. Ugh. As is, it's mediocre at best; a dime-a-dozen bad girl that can't even rise to other mediocre bad girl songs like Sweet but Psycho. If there's one thing I'm at least grateful for in the lockdown, it's not having to be stuck in a car as the radio blasts this on regular basis.
