Chart data always tweets non important stuff like that to engage stan twitter. It's basically the Twotter equivalent of an add/clickbait. i know but this is getting a little bit excessive. i would hope justin bieber has a "top 10 best-seller of the year" with a Q1 release.

I've realized chartdata does this a lot. A lot of it's tweets are tailored specifically towards female artists/their achievements. I have to guess it's tailored towards their fan bases to drum up engagement.

Most of the engagement chartdata gets are from the female fans of female artists and BTS stans.

Regarding The Weeknd's album bomb, it's still a month away, I don't think AH can open anywhere near Post Malone levels as only Heartless has been over 2M on Spotify of his singles so far even for a day, but might do very well in streaming over time. Wouldnβt The Weeknd have better streams on AM than Spotify

Heartless: 50% However, it's important to note that Apple Music is more frontloaded (most songs peak on AM before peaking on Spotify), so maybe he's gonna have better first week numbers there, but in the long run Spotify will be his biggest streaming service.

Kinda surprised how little attention the Pussycat Dolls comeback has gotten. You'd think with the success of the Jonas Brothers, more people would've cared more about five hot women dancing in a wet ro-I MEAN a 2000s nostalgia act.

The JBs had a more massive fanbase back in the day, third only to Biebz and Taylor at the time. The PCDs were already sort of struggling stateside with album #2, which is why their comeback has fared better in Europe (also several members transitioned into TV personalities in the UK).

It just seemed odd since the PCDs had several Top 10 hits whereas the Jonas Brothers only had Tonight and Burnin' Up as Top 10 hits. I would've thought a group that was just as if not more successful than the JB in the 2000s would've gotten some attention in the US

^Yeah. The Jonas Brothers were able to update their music. Many of those those 2000s artists seem to be stuck on their sound from that era, which generally hasn't transitioned well.

Holy fuck. After Hours actually GREW on Spotify, from 1.4 million to 1.7 million. People are loving this song.

Holy f**k. After Hours actually GREW on Spotify, from 1.4 million to 1.7 million. People are loving this song. Crazy, and itβll probably be over 2m tomorrow with it being a Friday. Its still #2 on Apple Music as well. I wasnβt expecting that with it being 6 minutes and not really βmainstreamβ friendly, even though its a great song

It looks like kworb's daily radio updates are wrong with most songs showing the pretty much the same numbers as yesterday. Blame Mediabase for the problem.

Is there a chance After Hours beats The Box next week, if it hits 2m this week? The Box is declining, but not that fast. Then again, it is βonlyβ at 2.25 today, so if it continues to grow a bit it might do it IMO.

With "After Hours" pulling really good numbers, I wonder wether that or "Blinding Lights" will be be number one on the On-Demand Streaming charts when the album drops.

US Spotify, week ending 2/20/2020
1 The Box by Roddy Ricch 17,122,376 2 Intentions (feat. Quavo) by Justin Bieber 10,615,362 3 Life Is Good (feat. Drake) by Future 10,109,586 4 No Time To Die by Billie Eilish 9,765,003 5 Blinding Lights by The Weeknd 7,739,722 6 ROXANNE by Arizona Zervas 7,676,669 7 Forever (feat. Post Malone & Clever) by Justin Bieber 7,631,525 8 Blueberry Faygo by Lil Mosey 7,538,983 9 High Fashion (feat. Mustard) by Roddy Ricch 7,116,753 10 Falling by Trevor Daniel 6,715,061
Quite impressive for Intentions although 10.6M for #2 is pretty low.
