The Box gained only 1K WW on Spotify last week so it has most likely peaked before video and possible remix kick in.

This pretty well explains how Dance Monkey occurred and what it is about:
Attention deserved this success.

LIG is still #3? That indicates that we won't have huge album bombs on Hot 100 after all.

^How do you draw that conclusion ? ? Just because the #2 song on Hot 100 is bigger than all of the songs on streaming doesn't mean that the albums wont chart on the other 98 positions on Hot 100. Eminem and Mac Miller week The Box was #1 on AM, LIG was #3 for 5 days then #2 for 2 days and still Em charted 12 songs and Mac charted 10 songs. Also we should wait for Spotify before jumping to conclusions.

Huge album bomb -> songs in top ten, in my books. Obviously in streaming age there will be several songs charting, maybe even most of the both albums.

LIG is still #3? That indicates that we won't have huge album bombs on Hot 100 after all. It's been 32 hours since the new albums dropped. If an A Boogie song hasn't reached #1 on Apple Music by now, it probably never will and if Life Is Good is still holding firm at #3, chances are it'll move back to #2 soon.

You can't just take song positions on AM at face value, you have to take context into account as well. The Box and Life is Good are VERY strong on AM, so it should go without saying that they'd be hard to pass. The #3 song, High Fashion, was knocked back to #10, and the #4 song, Ballin', was knocked back to #20, so obviously A Boogie's album bomb is pretty strong, just not big enough to surpass the two biggest smash hits on the platform.

An album bomb to me is several songs from an album charting in the top 10/top 20 of the Hot 100. Charting several songs in the 50-100 positions on the Hot 100 doesn't count as an album bomb to me because the area of the Hot 100 we like to see changes in the most is the top 10.

I still believe a stream for the entire album should count for the album chart only but still...
I'm OK with less impactful album bombs.

I think what we will see with this new charting methodology is that it will be nearly impossible to debut at #1 (well, unless the tracking week for radio is adjusted to match the tracking week for sales and streaming). Also, it will be tougher for recurrent songs to re-enter the charts (except for Sucker and I Don't Care, lol). If Old Town Road could not enter the 2/15 chart, it is going to take the stars to perfectly align for a recurrent song (outside of Christmas songs) to re-enter the chart.
As for Christmas songs, I think we will see less songs re-enter, and AIWFCIY will have a tougher time reaching #1 for the 2020-21 Holiday season. In fact, if the current methodology had been in place for the 2019-20 Holiday season, I doubt Heartless would gone to #1, and AIWFCIY would have not been #1 on the 12/21 and 12/28 charts (the 1/4 chart would have been a lot closer between Circles and AIWFCIY). Circles would have been a 6-7 week #1.

Circles would have been a 6-7 week #1. I think it's gonna be easier to debut at #1 because first weeks are driven by sales, on-demand streams and official videos. UGC takes a few days/weeks to go viral and have impact on the charts (In My Feelings is the best example).
Christmas songs are mostly driven by on-demand and programmed streams, I'm not sure if the UGC rule is gonna impact those songs. AIWFCIY is the only Christmas song that reaches 5M on YouTube in a week.

Care Package debuted 6 songs from #58-#95 on the Hot 100. That's not an album bomb to me, considering the fact that the top 50 remains unchanged. I can't call every instance of an album debuting a few songs on the Hot 100 an album bomb.

Not impressed by Boogie on Spotify but he does better on AM of course. Were you genuinely expecting him to do more than that? That's right in line with what Young Thug did on Spotify with So Much Fun. If anyone's Spotify debut is unimpressive it's Justin Bieber's, who had a smaller debut than Harry Styles despite having more tracks.

Also, interesting the highest charting Tame Impala song wasn't a single nor was it the first song on the album.

dremolus - solarpunk you didn't put the total numbers for Intentions, Life Is Good and Yummy, just the amount they increased by.
