"Hurts To Think" feels like it should've been an obvious last place but I was hoping it'd last a bit. Not surprised it's there just disappointed.
"Easy Living" is cute but I tend to forget it exists until it's on.
"Oklahoma Sky" is gorgeous and I love Miranda on this type of song. I can see how it may be "boring" for some but to me it's beautiful.
"Same Old You" I know I don't hate, but I forget of it's existence even worse than "Easy Living". Just doesn't click with me at all.
"Better In The Long Run" is easily their weakest collaboration, however I do think it would've been a pretty sizeable hit had they chosen it. For me it's just not an interesting song. They sound good here though which I liked.
"Look At Miss Ohio" I love that Miranda chooses songs like this and from such stellar songwriters. I find myself humming this to myself a lot. It's sneakily catchy to my ear lol
Now "Safe" is the biggest miss for a single on the album imo. It sounds like something radio would've ate up imo. The chorus is one of the more "basic" ones on the album but it's sooo catchy it gets stuck in my head for days!
"Fine Tune" is amazing, I looove all the fun wordplay and the vocal effect they did is perfect to really bring the story to life in a unique way. I just adore the adventurousness she showed with this one! Not surprised at all it missed the top half here though.

"Dear Diamond" is the next to lose its luster as it lands right in the middle of the rankdown at #7. After "Fine Tune," this is my favorite non-single on the record. It's a lyrically pretty morose song about a woman reflecting on her infidelity as she looks at the rock on her hand and is reminded of the secret she carries, and her vocals here perfectly encapsulate the heartbreak. cerulean, who submitted last for this rankdown, gave it its one and only #1 rank. This one struggled a bit to get any higher due to a handful of low ranks, but it had more ranks in the 5-9 range than anywhere else, which was just enough to keep it one of the higher album cuts. "You cost more than he wanted to lose And with this ring I said I do I promise to never do what I've done I've lied to someone"

The first single to get the snip from Four the Record is the polarizing "Fastest Girl in Town," a very raucous and gritty uptempo that details a woman who can't be tied down. It's always been one of her hits that the fans have been rather split on, so it being the lowest single here doesn't surprise me, sadly. It did not receive any #1s, but it had a trio of #2 ranks and a #3, though that's it for the top 5 ranks. A lot of people did, however, put this at #6, so this result seems pretty fitting. Troublemaker finally loses his #15 here, too. Ultimately this one fell shy of the top 5 by less than five points, though it had no prayer of landing any higher than that. It's also notable for having a fun music video co-starring Danica Patrick, one of the few famous female NASCAR drivers. "I see the blue lights We better run Throw out the bottle And I'll hide the gun If he pulls us over I'll turn on the charm You'll be in the slammer And I'll be on his arm"

"Nobody's Fool" narrowly came out ahead of "Fastest Girl in Town" for a coveted spot in the top 5, but the final album cut standing bows out now and falls far shy of unseating any of the other singles from Four the Record as the top 4 was pretty much on lock early on in the submissions and put up an impenetrable wall of nearly 30 points. In the song, Miranda sings about a past flame who walks into the same bar she's at to flirt with women and take them home, while playing it cool when people bring up that they used to be together, leading into a pretty classic country hook. It's great country songwriting on display, but this one's never grabbed me the way it has some, though I remember this being tossed around as one of the most popular picks from fans as a single off the album that never happened, so it landed as the highest album cut does not surprise me. Troublemaker loses his #1 right after his #15, and it also racked up an impressive number of #2s. Almost as many posters slotted this in their bottom 5 as they did top 5, so it restricted it just enough to not allow it to contend with any of the album's more popular hits. "All my friends say "hey don't you know him" And I'll try to play it off cool When they ask I'll just say he's nobody And me, well I'm nobody's fool"

- Dear Diamond has the unique background vocals of Patty Loveless - Fastest Girl in Town only got that high because of single bias. Don’t get me wrong it’s a rocker but meh - Nobody’s Fool. What can I say, Chris Stapleton writes good songs

The lead-off single from Four the Record, "Baggage Claim," misses its flight to the top 3, and by a margin of over 20 points, so its suffice to say this one was not as beloved as other hits from the album (save for "Fastest Girl in Town" ofc). A sassy kiss-off anthem that finds her dumping her metaphorical luggage after putting up with her man and his issues for too long, it's a jangly and catchy number that served as a safe hit. ClevelandRox and Cody Wants Out... see their #1 depart, and along with it goes a top 5 for about half of us. It actually started off strong as it didn't begin to rack up the low ranks until the back half of the submission process, which sealed its fate of missing out on the top 3, thanks to the six bottom 5s. "I have been draggin' around your sensitive ego Making sure that your bags arrive on time for the dog and pony show A leather suitcase like a brick, It kinda makes it hard to get a good grip I drop your troubles off at the conveyor belt, I'll hand you a ticket to go get it yourself"

Despite being the album's only single to miss the top 10 on the country charts, the album's opening number "All Kinds of Kinds," which proved to be a fan favorite at the time, and it has evidently still held up as it held a comfortable spot in the top 3 behind the album's two signature hits. The song features some very unconventional lyrics (including a cross-dressing politician hooking up with a pharmacist) on its way to spread a message of positivity and celebrating people's differences, which probably made it a tough sell for high airplay at radio, but it still performed modestly well as it capped off the album era as its fifth and final single. It did not land at the apex of any poster's list, but it also only received two bottom 5 ranks, which were only a pair of #11s. The majority did have it in their top 5, however, including a trio of #2s. "Thomas was a congressman With closets full of skeletons And dresses that he wore on Friday nights Phyllis was a pharmacist A dab of that, a pinch of this Concocted to suppress her appetite When the children were fiddlin' She'd slip them some Ritalin And wait for Thomasina to arrive"

In the battle of the two biggest and most iconic hits from Four the Record, representing two very different ends of Miranda's musical spectrum, there was no mistaking that "Mama's Broken Heart" is the runaway favorite here, as it put up an over 40-point lead on its path to victory. "Mama's Broken Heart" is a famously funky uptempo (notably co-written by Kacey Musgraves and Brandy Clark) that finds a woman going through a breakup and being unladylike in her grieving to the dissatisfaction of her mother and her peers, with an equally manic and iconic music video to match that shows Miranda Lambert comically smoking, drinking, and making a mess while dressed like an elegant debutante. On the flipside, "Over You" is a much softer and more introspective ballad number. She wrote the song with then-husband Blake Shelton about the sudden death of his brother when he was a teenager, and pumped it full of emotion that would have you think she's the one who suffered the loss. It featured a very beautiful music video treatment of its own with her walking through the woods during snowfall. With respect to the ranks, "Mama" put up nine #1s, whereas "Over" racked up eight. The difference fell in the low ranks as the winner only landed in the bottom half of a single user's list (sorry kw9461), while "Over You" actually clocked our final two #15 ranks that remained, plus a handful of other lower ranks. "Powder your nose, paint your toes Line your lips and keep 'em closed Cross your legs, dot your I's And never let 'em see you cry" "Your favorite records make me feel better 'Cause you sing along With every song I know you didn't mean to give them to me"

"Over You" is the most overrated song in her catalog. Ugh.
:ETA: I posted this before seeing the result. Posted at same time. I still think "OY" is too high here, but at least it didn't win.

Nothing tops "Automatic" from this album, and most of the songs that I've heard are fan favorites are among my least favorites so I'm interested to see how my ranking ends up going because this is easily my least favorite album of hers. "Little Red Wagon" is her worst single ever and "Platinum" isn't very good either from what I can remember. Maybe my opinions will change.
As for the previous album, was rooting for "Over You" to win as it is easily one of my favorites from her but "Mama's Broken Heart" is such a great song that I'm happy to see that one come out on top!
