This one started off with promise in terms of its production, but that annoying clap beat just had to come in and ruin everything. Imo the production was the only thing this song had going for it, since the only lyrics I heard were Blah-blah-blah/Blah/Blah-blah. Yet another faceless song that sounds the same as most of what nearly every country man has released these past couple years. Hard pass.

One listen in, and I already hate this song. This guy has an okay voice, but this song just sounds so bad, and sticks out on country radio and not in a good way, I'd like to believe this will flop on country radio, but he has a penis so more than likely it will hit #1 and within a few years country radio will move on from him more than likely.

This actually could have been a great song had the production been totally different. I like his voice, I was getting major Drake White vibes. But this just turned out to be a bro/snap-clap grating mess. Too bad.

Also, much like Hardy's first EP, Niko Moon stylistically uses all-caps for his song titles.

Underwhelming add date for Niko Moon and "Good Time" as the single only got 18 adds. Very mediocre start for a debut single

First top 40 hit for Niko as this enters the Country Airplay top 40 at #38.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this song had the potential to be great! I'm hearing it in my head how I wish it would have been done then I listen to the actual thing and am severely disappointed each time, lol.

This has to be hands down the most unexpected hit of the year.

This has to be hands down the most unexpected hit of the year. The 18 adds on week one really has me readjusting my expectations for songs that get that low. There's hope for some that seem DOA.

While the charts aren't being published, this song enters the Mediabase Top 10 at #10 this week becoming Niko Moon's first Top 10 on country radio.

Never cared for this at all. Was hoping it’d stall out before top 20; especially considering much better songs have peaked lower than this, and from more established artists. I mean the fact that this is probably going #1 and Tin Man went to #22 is annoying.

18 adds on add date, and a year later...with no buzz...this is going to hit #1.
Unknown men can release really, truly anything and score a hit.

Okay I don't like this song but it is connecting really well with listeners (#35 all genre on iTunes as of tonight) isn't true really at all. It had a very rough start on radio but the song has consistently sold well and streamed well (over 12 million views). There are a plethora of male songs that don't really deserve to hit #1 but despite my personal detest of this song, its been a hit and honestly deserves #1 over say the latest #1 single by Lady A which has not connected as much.

Fair enough. I guess It's hard to tell what "connecting" really means. iTunes charts are a decent indicator, but I really don't think it takes many purchases to chart well on iTunes anymore. And then we have Spotify streams, but those are always diluted by presence or lack thereof on Hot Country or another big playlist. Maybe YouTube music video plays? Not sure, this is definitely a larger conversation.

And then we have Spotify streams, but those are always diluted by presence or lack thereof on Hot Country or another big playlist. Maybe YouTube music video plays? Not sure, this is definitely a larger conversation. I mean I have always seen connecting as sales and streams point blank, as pretty much how much are people seeking the song out when they hear a song on radio, TV, in public, etc. With this song, it's hard to deny it isn't connecting well. I do think an important thing is to note when a song is released on YouTube/Spotify and the longer a song is released the less a large number on Spotify means. So for "Good Time" it was probably released in September 2019 if the music video is any indication. 12 million views in 15 months isn't great but it is solid enough especially for a new artist who was pretty unknown this time a year ago, same thing with 27 million Spotify streams in the same timeframe. As for iTunes I do think it is used less but I do think there is still some weight to iTunes regardless.

I don't think I've ever been so conflicted about a song in my life. The melody is SO GOOD, his voice is actually great, but the production on this is so horrendous that I also hate it and never want to listen to it. But I'm also being driven crazy because the song itself is so good.
I wish the studio was more like this:

Niko tweeted this evening that there will be a remix to this song coming out on Friday. It will have a special guest on it but we don’t know who it is yet.

Here I was thinking maybe he tapped Alan Jackson or someone to make a country remix.
