another big name that people are ignoring in the "huge comeback" sector is Bruno Mars. It's been 4 years since 24k Magic and I'm interested in whatever the hell he does next I'm still personally burned out on all things Bruno Mars (plus he just had a top five hit a year ago). If you're burnt out on someone who has only released 3 albums in 10 years, I can't imagine what you feel about artists like Drake, Taylor Swift, Weeknd, Ariana Grande, etc who are constantly releasing music. Eminem has released more albums in the past decade than Bruno.

I feel like the remix has actually killed Life Is Good's momentum. They're doing numbers still but both are falling.

Well it’s been out for a bit over a month now, it’s not like it’s totally collapsed, so idk why a drop is surprising. It’s definitely not because of the remix, more people who listened to the original are listening to the remix, same happened with Ransom when the remix dropped. The original lost streams, but the remix gained them

again, Gaga is carefully balanced on the good will from Shallow right now. If this song is bad (like the leaks suggest) we'll likely never see her on the charts again

Your second claim is completely false btw, Gaga will always be on the charts with her dedicated fanbase.

Starboy has reentered the Spotify US charts at #167. Usually this happens on the day a huge artist releases a new single due to inertia, but After Hours was released a week ago. Suffice to say, people are beyond hyped for the new album.

This is the same woman that still got a #4 hit after "Perfect Illusion" and ARTPOP and then delivered a #1 soundtrack with an Oscar winning #1 song. Don't count her out, even if SL isn't a hit.
RE: Bruno, he might have had only 3 albums, but they have all been inescapable. I've enjoyed them but by 24K Magic time he got a bit too comfortable with the "Uptown Funk!" for my personal taste.

^ And here's an unpopular opinion/ very hot take: not only is "Uptown Funk!" a highly overrated song (still great, though), but I feel like Bruno totally improved on its sound and vibe with "24K Magic", especially on the intro and that amazing breakdown (which is infinitely superior to that of UF, which has always been my biggest issue with the song). Choco Also, I think the other hits from the album felt like natural progression of his penchant for throwbacks, from the hip hop/RnB of "That's What I Like" to the New Jack Swing of "Finesse" to the classic love-making RnB of "Versace On The Floor", not to mention the amazing album tracks. If anything, I'm more worried about the direction he took with his uninspired features from late 2018 to last year (except "BLOW", which was fun).

Ouch! That's a hard drop for "No Time To Die". Pity too, since the song is great.

*Sigh* Once again the Top 3 is still stagnant. I hope this new Gaga single will be her massive comeback single.

Apologies for the Gaga post. I immediately associated her career with Katy Perry because they both got their start in the late 2000s and then continued having hits until around 2013. Of course, this is a very stupid comparison looking back from a couple hours later since Gaga has a dedicated hive that Katy didn’t really have, and she’s proven she can still come back with songs like Shallow. I retract the statement that she’ll never have another hit.
I still assert that there is a lot hinging on SL being good though. Going back to Shallow, that was a rock song with her literally playing a character. To go back to dance pop after making rock (and proving you’re really good at it) is a bold move

yeah the box definitely topping out at 10-11 weeks. hopefully Life Is Good is the one to dethrone. it’s been waiting so patiently, and it’s still gaining points while The Box is losing

The Box is dropping in points, much quicker than I thought. Could Life Is Good possibly dethrone it in like two weeks?

You guys are all wrong. The Lady Gaga song that aged the worst is easily Do What U Want. I still think that song slaps, but no one who is remotely sane should want R.Kelly to do what he wants with anyone's body.

Ashe’s “Moral Of The Story” is up to #24 on US Spotify today. I could see it being a pretty big hit if that momentum continues.

From what I can tell the Spotify numbers are a bit off since Intentions is back up to #3.

I think after MJ we should accept the fact that bad people can make good music sometimes and to separate their crimes from the music. But yeah, the DWUW lyrics are particularly problematic. Idk why Gaga chose Kelly. He was already a problematic figure and she didn't really need him.
