Say So isn't bad but my problems with it haven't gone away. In that, if you gave this to other acts like DRAM or H.E.R. or any other R&B who've dabbled in disco, nothing would change. Her earliest song - So High - had a similar problem and I was hoping that she had grown out of that style since then because she has shown more personality than just "really sexy thicc girl". I don't mind Doja the personality and Doja the artist being seperated. Plenty of people have put on different personas for their music, most notably Billie Eilish, and it doesn't really take away from my enjoyment of the song

I enjoyed Say So video more than The Man's admittedly :( and liking this disco throwback this year. Would really love to see Say So, DSN, Blinding Lights, and Physical or some Kesha song like Summer all inside the top 20. Although im not optimistic about the last ones..

Like with Say So and Juicy, what separates her from every other female rapper who also raps about being thicc and getting tons of sex? That's what I meant. I don't have a problem with her as a person, I have no doubt she's fun and nice.

You can say HER could have made Say So but it wouldn’t have been good because HER doesn’t have the tone to make ass n’ titties lines good and fun

Good news: I updated my formula to be more detailed! Bad news: I don't know what the hell i did
Early predictions with.... probably a couple of mathematical mistakes along the way given... everything about this.
1. The Box - 416 2. Life Is Good - 333 3. Circles - 247 4. Roxanne - 241 5. Don't Start Now - 222 6. Dance Monkey - 211 7. On - 211 8. Blinding Lights - 211 9. Memories - 187 10. Intentions - 182
11. Someone You Loved - 181 12. Everything I Wanted - 175 13. Heartless - 168 14. Bop - 162 15. Adore You - 160 16. Ballin' - 158 17. Hot Girl Bummer - 155 18. After Hours - 155 19. 10,000 Hours - 140 20. Yummy - 130 21. Woah - 129 22. High Fashion - 128 23. Lose You To Love Me - 126 24. My Oh My - 126 25. Falling - 117 26. No Guidance - 115 27. Blueberry Faygo - 109 28. You Should Be Sad - 104 29. Say So - 102 30. The Bones - 102 31. What A Man Gotta Do - 101
I'm guessing it's because I underweighed radio signifigantly or something but fixing that would also magnify some that feel equally weird so.... who knows.

Like with Say So and Juicy, what separates her from every other female rapper who also raps about being thicc and getting tons of sex? That's what I meant. I don't have a problem with her as a person, I have no doubt she's fun and nice. Yes, a lot of her songs are about sex, but she manages to make her songs so interesting and fun that you don't notice she's singing/rapping about the same thing essentially. H.E.R. could never pull off any Doja Cat songs. She can't rap and she doesn't have the range vocally. H.E.R. makes boring, predictable R&B music even though she's a really talented singer and instrumentalist. I'm just wondering why it's a topic of discussion when women want to make songs about their bodies or about sex when male artists do it all the time. Megan Thee Stallion got this same thing when she came out and people said all she does is rap about sex and twerk. That completely undermines her capabilities as a rapper. I was surprised when I saw her getting that kind of backlash because Nicki has basically been doing the exact same thing for the past 10 years and people managed to not mind. I'm here for more women having fun in their songs. Let them rap/sing about their bodies and the men/women they have sexual interactions with. I personally think women are more creative on songs that cover that topic and Doja Cat is just a really exciting act. It also helps that she's actually a talented rapper and singer and can perform really well. I'm already eager for a new album from her just to see what she does next.

Polo G has the same thing French Montana has where he’s able to bring out the best in his collaborators and producers despite being mediocre, but I don’t think he realizes it

please don’t compare Polo G to French Montana.
Or any artist, really
But I’m all seriousness, idk how Polo G is mediocre, esp if you’ve heard more of his discography than just Pop Out and Go Stupid. He’s definitely a lot more interesting/versatile than most of these new rappers.

I can definitely see the argument that he's mediocre - there's not much that really pops out (pun intended) about him, but pretending that's the same level of mediocre as french montana is certainly laughably unfair to him.

sticking with that assertion even after listening to this, considering nobody actually read what I said. Seems like everyone took it as Polo G is EXACTLY as bad as French Montana, which isn't true. Polo G is definitely more talented than Mr. DJ Khaled Lite but in terms of personality he's outclassed by Stunna and Choppa and Tjay.
Flo Rida was versatile and had creative flows- would you call him interesting?

It isn't Pulse if there isn't a ridiculous side-discussion going on in the weekly Hot 100 thread.

BTW, I overlooked The Other Side for today's kworb Radio Songs estimates. I think it should be able to debut on the Hot 100, with two days' worth of sales and streaming, and five of radio.

It has basically zero audio streaming... 250k or sth on Spotify. Maybe it's because the song was released on a Wednesday, it could increase today and Friday.
