"Stupid love" doesn't sound like a polarizing disaster like "Yummy". It sounds like something that will get ignored because it's 8 years late to the EDM party.
Not that I don't enjoy that kind of material, but chartwise it's gonna be an uphill battle.

Not that I don't enjoy that kind of material, but chartwise it's gonna be an uphill battle. Yeah, I somehow managed to find one link that still works just now and it isn't terrible at all IMO, but if this is the finished version I see it only being a minor hit (top 20 Hot 100/top 10 CHR) with mediocre longevity like Never Really Over. I'm holding out hope that the production got changed or at least polished up because I think the melody does have potential. But the gays have been hollering for her to return to 'pop' Gaga for so long that I would not be surprised if she thinks Fame redux is what they wanted.

To be fair I was part of the angry mob demanding more poppy Gaga, but I wanted it to sound fresh, like what Dua Lipa, The Weeknd and even to some degree Selena Gomez did recently. All of them have netted recent top 40 hits with dance-infused tracks without them sounding like a complete rehash of older material.
Of course there's always a chance the final product is amazing.

another big name that people are ignoring in the "huge comeback" sector is Bruno Mars. It's been 4 years since 24k Magic and I'm interested in whatever the hell he does next

Even though I like Nice For What 1) the song wasn't made yet and 2) I highly doubt it would've gotten the ball rolling like God's Plan did. God's Plan had people talking from the video to the line "She say "do you love me"? I tell her "Only Partly", I only love my bed and my momma I'm sorry...". it was VERY talked about, thatโs why i was ok with gods plan being the first single out of the 3 I think โkiki, do you love meโ was more talked about. Godโs plan is fine, but in my feelings or especially nice of what wouldโve been a way more defining song for 2018

SOMEBODY, ANYBODY, PLEASE RELEASE A SONG THAT SHAKES UP THE TOP 3 OF THE HOT 100. JESUS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A MONTH NOW. UGH. Blinding Lights, Donโt Start Now and (a third song which iโm not sure but lets say Blueberry Faygo, After Hours or even Intentions), please do your magic that you have on streaming platforms and apply it on the charts

Really hoping "After Hours" can make it into the top ten this week, would be amazing to see a promotional single pull this off. If I'm correct, I don't think one has made it there since "Ready for It?" did a couple of years ago (before its single release). Although if it doesn't make it this week, I can see it reaching the domain once the album drops. The true last one was our current #1, the box, but that was a complete non single so I guess youโre right I mean werenโt songs from drakeโs scorpion promo singles in the top as well? (Iโm Upset, Nonstop)

One day Bruno will make music from this time period. I think if he does have comeback he'll still make throwback R&B songs(I hope not but I can be wrong I'm not a fortune teller.)

Considered underground beyond that time, then managed to have 3 top 5โs and a number 1 album that year including 2 number 1 songs. You never know what time an underground artist will become big

(Iโm Upset, Nonstop) "Nonstop" was a non-single when it charted in the top ten and then got a release as a radio single. "I'm Upset" though is arguably, although I'm pretty sure many consider it to be a single, but it could honestly be argued as being either. Although I'm pretty sure when Drake called it a single on social media when he released it if I recall correctly.

I seriously hope Lady Gaga has reworked the leaked version and updated it/modernized it. I haven't heard it yet, but the idea of a 2011 reject is the last thing you'd want from a comeback single, and we've had enough messy comeback lead singles just these last three years ("Filthy", "ME!", and "Yummy"). I really want her to succeed, especially after the success of "A Star Is Born" and the revitalized interest in her music, but she has to play her cards right. This is make-or-break for her. Not sure what makes you think there's no appetite for dance pop era Gaga leftovers when one went top 10 just last year (Sweet But Psycho).

I haven't heard the leak of Stupid Love yet...but if the rumors are true and it's a throwback to 2011-2013 EDM club dance tracks, I get the feeling we'll see something akin to a cut on ARTPOP. Which isn't a good thing as ARTPOP is by far her worst album to date and has aged really badly, even more so than Born This Way (sidetrack but a lot of 2013 EDM hasn't aged all that well either).

Not sure what makes you think there's no appetite for dance pop era Gaga leftovers when one went top 10 just last year (Sweet But Psycho). That was a Jay Sean leftover, actually there were 2 of those last year with Ride It being an international hit and that was basically just a remix except not credited like one. Iโd say the Jay Sean side of dance pop was different that Lady Gaga, sure it ages worse, but so did Physical but that also had its own revival in Dua Lipa. Iโd say that the Jay Sean side is more akin to The Fame era of Gaga, which Iโd say in some aspects aged worse (you canโt tell me that Paparazzi aged well at all and isnโt unbearable now, especially next to anything on that album, or even next to anything on ARTPOP). Havenโt heard the leak, but if itโs like anything off of ARTPOP, it hasnโt been long enough to become a nostalgic throwback, but the chart has been really static so it may stick around like what Middle Child did when everyone expected a big drop and exit

Am i the only one that finds it funny that the weeknd is probably gonna get more #1s than justin bieber
JB has 5 #1 hot 100 songs while the weeknd has 4 (and all of his songs that hit #1 are solo)
Considering that justin called his music trash, its nice to actually see the weeknd now possibly taking his revenge
Not to mention drake has 6 #1s so abel could actually be the top Canadian for once (unless drake releases something this year which grows absolutely massive popularity and i actually see that happening)

NOT people mentioning Jay Sean in same sentence with Oscar and Grammy winning (11 times) artist that is called Lady Gaga. Only on Pulse.

They said that Sweet But Psycho sounded like a Jay Sean leftover, and then said that Jay Sean and Gaga were in two different lanes of dance-pop. Hardly something to get worked up over. BTW nobody slander Paparazzi, shit still slaps to this day.

I donโt even care about Drakeโs total domination Iโm just annoyed at his promo choices. He had enough power going into Scorpion for literally any single to be a hit, and he picks Godโs Plan? Imagine if he released Nice For What (or even In My Feelings) first, and that became the defining song of 2018 and the one that made the decade-end list. I guess he made the right decison.

How is the Man performing so far? Taylor has been pushing it as a single for exactly a month now. She's released a lyric video, a live performance single/video and the official music video arrives in two days. I'm asking because I haven't seen a lot of discussions about it in the past couple of weeks.
