I am kind of shocked he is still getting a shake at country radio since it has been quite a while since "Rock On" and his last single ("Better Than Me") failed to chart altogether.

He's got talent and this is probably my favorite thing he's put out, but there's just something about him I don't see ever breaking out.

Just curious if anyone knows why “Rock On” was removed from Spotify?

Just curious if anyone knows why “Rock On” was removed from Spotify? If I remember correctly it was something about Big Machine owning the songs from his EP, so when he left they took his EP down.

Ooh someone's a little cocky haha I wouldn't say he's different enough to be calling out other artists like this but at least he praised Ashley!

Ooh someone's a little cocky haha I wouldn't say he's different enough to be calling out other artists like this but at least he praised Ashley! Not cocky. Tucker's tweet was posted out of context, which is misleading. The subject was an innocuous online promotional poll pitting Ashley's single against Tucker's single for fan voting. Apparently Tucker held the lead at some point, which prompted an Ashley fan to tweet: "Are you kidding? I mean, Tucker is good y'all, but @ashleymcbryde is BadA$& ..." ... which prompted a Tucker fan, in the spirit of the game, to reply, "What, what ??? I mean @ashleymcbryde is good y'all, but @tuckerbeathard is BadA$$." ... which prompted Tucker to reply with the posted tweet to diffuse the one upping and show value for each artist.

I mean, it still looks pretty cocky for him to describe himself as an artist who actually has style and voice while simultaneously implying that very few other artists also have their own style and voice, even if he said it in response to fans... Lmao

Lmao It is not cocky to state fact. Many country artists today generate songs of little/no value. They are cut from the same insipid cloth. You listen to the song and ask, "How has this song added value to my life?" Often the answer is: no value whatsoever. The song is not worthy of my time spent listening. Tucker is an artist. His songs illuminate ideas and feelings which lie below the surface. They resonate and add value to life. They are worthy of the time spent listening.

In the context of the entire conversation it makes things seem a lot less cocky. However he doesn’t have to call out other artists which is the entire cocky part of it. He could’ve just said he and Ashley were both talented and didn’t need to be pitted against each other. As for the post I quoted, that’s all opinion which is fine to have, but it’s not fact. In my view I’ve yet to hear Tucker bring anything to the table that I can’t get elsewhere. He hasn’t released anything I didn’t like though. Lynne I’m sure there’s plenty of songs/artists you don’t personally find worth your time but others may. No need to put other artists down is the lesson I think here!

My comments are posted to clarify that Tucker is not being "cocky." That's it. Yes, it would have been politically correct to have not "called out other artists," but there is value in being open and truthful, in free expression when it serves a purpose, in this case to define him, and he makes no specific reference to anyone. Tucker is open and real, not fake and phony. He shares. It is one of his main assets. Regarding your view that Tucker brings nothing new to the table, I see Tucker as unique in his level of lyrical depth, artistry, and impact. Regarding your view that I am putting down other artists, I am not bashing anyone. I am explaining that Tucker is not being "cocky." Personally I enjoy and appreciate many country music artists. I know that fans love who they love for whatever reason. Every artist has fans who adore them.

I mean from my point of view it did come across as kind of cocky and confident which good for him, but I have also never been impressed with his music or voice, and Tucker Beathard feels like a very inter-changeable male artist imo.

Everyone has their own preferences musically and vocally, etc., but I personally think Tucker is pretty close to the bottom of the barrel for me. He's certainly unique vocally, but uniquely mediocre to my ears. Not a fan at all and I've yet to hear anything of his that I'd intentionally listen to again.

Well this song did go to adds this week and Tucker Beathard ended up with a total with 14 adds.
Safe to say this song is probably not going to be a hit on the radio, just like other singles that seemed pretty much dead on arrival (see the latest releases from Avenue Beat, King Calaway) in the last couple of months

New song.
They should pull You Would Think and go with this instead.

New song. They should pull You Would Think and go with this instead. I mean, no matter what they go with it I don't see it succeeding since it seems like country radio is just not interested in Tucker Beathard

Country music radio has been waiting for the quintessential Tucker Beathard song to be released. "Can't Stay Here" is that song.

Is YWT making any progress? Absolutely none. I don’t think it’s even gotten 20 adds on Mediabase.
