So, I'm gonna try the reviewing thing again. I'll admit, it fell over because well, I didn't feel like ranting or sharing long thoughts over albums again, and it felt like I would've been repeating myself. But now, here's something I've been meaning to do. A review for a track I like per day...or 2, or whenever I feel like it, because really, I'm not the best for keeping my schedules. So what's gonna be the first track? Is it an artist I love? ...eh... Kehlani - Distraction (2016)I've always been mixed on Kehlani. On one hand, I've heard all of SweetSexySavage, and well, it felt like after the fourth track, I've heard the same song over and over again. On the other hand, she's really good with collabs. Like Nights Like This is slowly becoming one of my favorites from 2019. Though one song I cannot deny has been stuck in my head recently, is her 2016 single Distraction. Her performance is solid in this, the production is pretty good, and of course, it's one HELL of a catchy chorus. It doesn't help that the "DO YOU DO YOU"s, begin the song. While this isn't something groundbreaking, it is damn right fun.

Now for this week, it's an artist I don't feel guilty for listening to.
Frank Ocean - Self Control (2016)
Blonded was a pretty odd experience on first listen. However, it was the home to several of Frankie's absolute best, some which I might talk about someday. I would've done Pyramids for this, but I chose this. Honestly, I might not be the best person to describe a song like this. But I will say, it might be one of the most emotional and genuinely performances I've heard from not just Frank, but from an artist in general. Now, this might be a song that is easy not to get into. From th opening chipmunk voices that also appear in the middle of the song twice, to even this lyric. "I'll be the boyfriend in your wet dreams tonight". Yet, it's both the guitar instrumental, and Frank's own performance that make this song. But then there's the climax, which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, even if it is Frank just repeating lyrics. To me, this whole song could've been so easy to screw up, but it's just Frank that makes this rather an experience.

For our third week. Blur - Coffee and TV (1999)Yes, a song in where it's music video was one of my previous icons. I'll admit, while I don't have that much knowledge on Blur, I'm still a fan of what I've heard from them, specifically their 13 album. I'll admit, this is my favorite song by them. It's rather a chill track with a simple but good guitar riff, and definitely one of my favorites from Albarn. Even the lyrics feel pretty sweet in this. Also, it's a music video that ends with a milk carton going to Heaven.
