I feel like Baby will do 130k-150k depending on how his Spotify numbers look (obviously they will be modest compared to AM, but 8 million + would be good for him). G Herbo could do a cool 80k.

Really hope G Herbo’s song with Juice/Chance/Uzi gets a nice debut. It’s some good stuff.

Say So #20 on Apple Music w/o the 3 album bombs. Impressive since before yesterday it was closer to #100 than the top 20

Blinding Lights will be top 10 (maybe top 5) on radio and possibly #1 or #2 on streaming for the April 4 chart.

The Video for The Box is very cool I liked the Transitions in the video it was very slick and of course at the end him in The Box had a finishing touch. I'm tempted to watch it again it might dare I say be one of the best music videos I saw today.

The Box music video had real potential to go super viral (think This is America during its first week) but Roddy waited too long. I'd be surprised if it has more than 20 million views by the end of the week.

I'd be surprised if it has more than 20 million views by the end of the week. At least he didn't pull a Roxanne and release the music video a whole two months after people had already started to move on. It should help fend off any potential dethroning from Life is Good until After Hours comes out and Blinding Lights likely goes #1 (or another song from the album).

Lil Baby is currently holding 14 of the top 15 on AM with the except of The Box Holy s**t, and there's still 3 hours left in the day. Had G-Herbo not dropped Baby probably could've taken the entire top 20 Lil Top was #2 on AM earlier today, now it's #26....

Wow! This week would be a Pi Day chart! Not as cool as the Leap Day chart from two weeks ago. Next Pi Day chart will be in 2026.

I personally like the serious lyrics trend a lot more since they're actual LYRICS. Most of the fun pop from 2011 or so had forgettable or outright bad lyricism- the standout pop songs from that time period, at least to me, have been the ones with good writing. (Telephone, Love The Way You Lie, Airplanes, Bulletproof, Just Dance) But I would still define all of those songs as fun despite their sometimes mopey lyrics. Hmm I guess that's why they call it windowpane

why is apple music so prone to rapper's album bombs while spotify is stagnant unless its an a lister Apple music has a lot more urban listeners than spotify does. Spotify is more overall with all genres since it technically is the first streaming platform to properly introduce the streaming era Apple Music listeners are just far more album consumers than Spotify users. Spotify as mentioned, doesn't have album bombs unless it's a top A-list artist (in which they also have Apple Music bombs). However Apple Music has dozens of bombs from non-superstars, whereas Spotify never has lesser known artists who can just do damage with an album overnight. Apple Music listeners are always looking for the next new hot album. Spotify listeners just throw on hits (+ moreso use playlists similar to radio) and tend to call it a day. Apple Music does have much more Urban listeners, however if Spotify listeners were interested in full-albums as much, then you'd find constant examples of developing Pop artists having album bombs which isn't the case.
