The Lady Gaga song is meh imo. Damn, I hate to see that Lil Baby album doing successful, he is really the most uninteresting and bland rapper of today. Where is Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert when you need them? At least they are more interesting.

I wouldn't put much stock in it though because he's been saying the same thing for 3 years now.

whenever Eternal Atake does drop the numbers will be unbelievable. Maybe even Scorpion-tier domination

Personally I love it and am glad to have a pop song that feels fun. I didn’t realize until now just how much pop music has gone the serious/sad route for awhile now. Fun pop is already making a return. 2018 was a horrible horrible year full of depressing songs but since then stuff has got a lot more optimistic. Don't Start Now, ROXANNE, Blinding Lights, Heartless, and BOP- all fun songs. I've been at parties playing all of these and they KILLED I’m imagining Stupid Love sounds better when blasted as well considering that’s the entire genre but after a couple listens it just feels like the worst aspects of fun pop Hmm I think we have different definitions of fun pop. The songs you mention are a bit more uptempo but they mostly still sound pretty serious to me lyrically. You can definitely blast them at a party and have fun dancing to them but they’re not that lighthearted really. (FWIW I looooove blinding lights and physical)

Lil Baby has four songs in the Top 10 of AM. ughhhh. Why couldn't America just leave Lil Baby and Gunna with Drip Too Hard and then move on to better rappers?

whenever Eternal Atake does drop the numbers will be unbelievable. Maybe even Scorpion-tier domination This is never going to happen. He released a single that debuted and peaked at #5 and fell off the charts, despite him going out of his way to try to make a dance challenge stick. He isn't as strong commercially as he was in 2017. Fustal Shuffle 2020 did so well in it's debut week out of anticipation from fans because it was his first real single in a long time. I don't see any album ever putting up the numbers Scorpion put up on streaming. I don't even think Drake himself can break that record. 750 million US streams in a week is no joke. No one since then has done 500 million streams in a week, much less 600 or 700 million streams.

I personally like the serious lyrics trend a lot more since they're actual LYRICS. Most of the fun pop from 2011 or so had forgettable or outright bad lyricism- the standout pop songs from that time period, at least to me, have been the ones with good writing. (Telephone, Love The Way You Lie, Airplanes, Bulletproof, Just Dance) But I would still define all of those songs as fun despite their sometimes mopey lyrics.

I love the track lol but the lyrics weren't it's strongest element.

I think everyone forgot that Futsal Shuffle debuted with 3 million streams. Even if not for as long, he will dominate

Lil Baby now has 9/10 of the top songs on the AM chart, excluding The Box

Stupid Love 1.0 The Other Side 0.2 Smashing on iTunes! Considering how Shallow is still one of the best selling songs in iTunes, I would have been shocked if this wasn't the case for SL. Also has a radio deal. I think a top 20 debut is doable.

I feel so bad for the UK. It seems that Someone You Loved is still in the top 10 in their charts after receiving a second wind. At least here in the States, it's bleeding in all categories.

Collaborate with the artist to make them big and have an established career (Lil Baby, Future, Migos, The Weeknd, 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled, French Montana; all of these artists would be big or was already big before the drake collab(s), but afterwards they definitely became bigger and more known) 2. Collaborate with the artist and make them a one time thing (Blockboy JB, ILoveMakonnen, All of OVO sadly)

Collaborate with the artist and make them a one time thing (Blockboy JB, ILoveMakonnen, All of OVO sadly) A feature doesn't equal a career. At best, it'll boost your profile and open some doors (temporarily). The difference between the two groups of people you listed is that one group was able to take the feature Drake gave them, maximize it and use it to give themselves other opportunities. The other group didn't and they did so by relying solely on the success of those features and before they knew it, people only cared about those features and not them. As for the artists signed to Drake, none of them make moves like artists who want commercial mainstream success. All Drake did was give them a record deal. They have managers who are meant to help them build out their careers. That isn't Drake's job. They mostly drop their albums and go on tours. They sell out all their tours so I guess that works for them.

I love talking about Drake. Drake will pass Glee for having the most entries in Billboard History.

So far, I can see a top 25 debut for Stupid Love.

Gaga's AM numbers are bad but I'll wait 24 hours before I make a prediction on how it'll do. First day is important but if it doesn't have longevity for the week then pure sales aren't going to be enough for a Top 10 debut unless it's sales are over 50k or something.

^How is it bad at #84 currently if Lil Baby and G Herbo having album bombs above it? Without album bombs it would be Top 50 on AM.
